Phil did a great, very professional job. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to beef up their insulation. He also helped figure out the federal and state tax credit/refunds that were available.

I called Phil after finding his company on Angie's List. He gave me an estimate over the phone for adding blown insulation to existing insulation in a house built in 1909 to bring it up to R38. I scheduled the work for a few weeks later. He and his assistant arrived when they said they would and inspected the attic at which time Phil informed me there wasn't as much insulation as the home inspector had estimated. He recommended adding R-19 in order to get it to where I wanted it in a way that I did not feel pressured either way. I appreciated that he pointed it out, instead of just letting it go. He and his partner were professional, took a lot of care to keep the entire area covered before bringing in their equipment and were equally careful about vacuuming up afterwards. Phil also offered some good advice about modifying the access cover to the attic in order to minimize heat loss at that point.

Called Phil at Arvada insulation and he gave me an estimate over the phone based on my information. We set up a date for the job - he arrived right on time, and within three hours had the job completed and had everything cleaned up. He filled out all of the paperwork for the rebates, and the estimate for the job was actually higher than the final price because of existing insulation in attic, so he adjusted the price down. Great dealing with him.

Phil called me up after I left him a message stating that I saw his company on Angie's list. He asked me general questions about the house to give me an estimate of what the job might cost. He gave me his opinion on how much insulation I should probably have and didn't try to oversell me anything that I probably didn't need. On the day of the job, he and his co-worker Vic showed up exactly on time. They were very nice and courteous and were fun to talk to. I mentioned to Phil that I had some problems with my attic fan and he even took some time to look at it while he was in the attic insulating. He would have actually removed the attic motor for me, but the heat in the attic was too hot at the time. Very nice to offer though in my opinion, and he didn't even charge me. After the job, my attic has a ton more insulation than before. Everything was professionally done, and they cleaned up before leaving. Phil also filled out the necessary rebate forms that I had. All in all, it was a very good experience and I would definitely recommend them in the future. Thanks Arvada Insulation!
Description of Work: Added insulation to the attic of my house. Added R-30 blown in insulation to my existing R-10 insulation in the attic to give me a total of R-40 to qualify for all of the rebates going on right now.

Overall, the experince went well. Phil does not come out to give an estimate, instead he asks questions over the phone to determine the size of your house, (mine is app 1300 sq ft),type of exterior, existing insulation, year built, etc. He then determines an estimate that is followed through on to the letter. Phil charged exactly what he said he would and even added more insulation for the price quoted. Phil and his assistant were professional and cleaned up after themselves. The only suggestion that I would make that he keeps customers more aware of insulation rebates and when they have to be mailed in. Those small improvements would help the customer save money

Everything went exactly as I expected. Phil was able to give me a price estimate for the attic over the phone. When we scheduled the work, he showed up on time, completed the work within the original time estimate and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. At the end of the job, he filled out and provided all necessary paperwork for applicable rebates. There were no suprises. I would definitely recommend Arvada Insulation to friends and neighbors.

We had a company cold call us for insulation. We knew that our house was not very efficient and wanted to begin saving energy and take advantage of the government incentives as well as the incentives from our local utility. The cold call company came in and verified that we needed an additional 18? of insulation with a total cost of about $5,000. We gave them a down payment check for $1,500 with 3 days to change our mind. My wife looked up Angie?s list for recommendations and found Arvada Insulation. We call them and they came out quickly and gave us a quote of $1,500 for the same job (18? of insulation). We hired them on the spot and canceled our other order. By the weekend they were here installing and our house is warmer than ever. We got the Tax rebate and the local utility rebate. We have noticed a drop in our heating bills as well. We have recommended them to all of our family and friends. We were going to drop our subscription to Angie?s List but after this experience we are going to use it more and more.
Description of Work: The company did an exceptional and professional job. The cost was 75% less (believe it or not) from other quotes that we had received. We saved money, time, and now energy using this company.

I had to cancel our appointment due to work contraints. Paul rearranged his schedule, arrived on time with an assistant and began working. He closely supervised his assistant and performed the more technically demanding work himself, such as drilling and patching holes. The whole job took about seven hours. When they were done, the work was competed on time and for less than I had anticipated based on the estimate. The warmth in the 2nd floor was immediately noticeable! The north room now is a balmy 70 degrees!
Description of Work: Paul came out to evaluate the insulation in the second story of my 100 year-old house. He found there was none. He provided an estimate for blowing in recycled fiber insulation in my sloped ceiling and for drilling and filling the walls. The rooms upstairs were frigid, and even with the heat on, the north bedroom averaged around 55 degrees. Instead of getting just the 2 rooms insulated as I had originally planned, I added insulation for the entire sloped roof of the 2nd floor. I did move furniture and other items out of the way to make way for them to work beforehand.

Phil is the owner/operator and he was very professional and friendly from start to finish. His assistant was also very helpful and courteous. The pair arrived on time, provided all their own equipment and ensured that they would not damage anything in the process. Phil took the time to fully understand my particular situation and carried out exactly what we agreed upon. Also important to note is that he added all the insulation needed to do the job (rather than just blow in the estimated number of bags). They completed the job in just a few hours, stayed right on budget and cleaned up after. Phil also assisted in providing and filling out the forms needed for a rebate from Xcel Energy. Job well done! I highly recommend them.

I got several other estimates from other companies, but decided to go with them. I thought their price was good. I didn't have very much insulation in my attic to begin with. I was really satisfied with them. He brought my insulation up to code, or better than code. I could feel the difference in my house one he left. It felt like it made a tremendous difference. He was in and out in one day. My son even said he could feel the difference in warmth in the house.

Phil honored the price he quoted over the phone and showed up on time. Work was completed in about 2 hours. My attic has very little head room and a gentle pitch, but that didn't deter Phil from doing a neat, professional job. Cleaned up afterwards.
Description of Work: Added 8 inches or R-19 fiberglass insulation over existing layer of R-19 insulation to an 800 square foot attic. They add some water to the insulation in the hopper to reduce static electricity so that the insulation compacts better. Ensured that soffit vents weren't covered.

In the initial conversation, Phil explained different R ratings and price ranges. We set up an appointment, and he was on time and prepared. He explained the process and answered questions as he was working. He stuck to his phone estimate, with R38 insulation, worked quickly, and cleaned up well. He did a professional, thorough job.

Excellent company. Job took 3 hours to complete and they worked quickly and quietly. During the job, I was conducting several conference calls with no issues with the job going on overhead. He put down tarps and cleaned up afterward. Took the initiative to install a baffle on the attic door and did a great job of working around a whole house attic fan. Arrived right on time and charged me exactly what was estimated. Very knowledgeable and courteous. Felt I was given a very straight story on the status of the remaining house insulation (walls, floor, garage) - recommended against further insulation until we had a chance to feel the effectiveness this winter. Although he is quite busy, I felt he treated me as an important client.
Description of Work: Added 15 inches (R-38) of blown fiberglass insulation into the attic of my 1,200 sq. ft. 1967 bi-level house. Evaluated existing insulation as R-8 with the R-38 added, brings our effective rating to R-50. Also provided evaluation of remaining house insulation - recommended against additional insulation.

I called Phil and talked with him about my insulation needs. The price quoted to me on the phone when I was pricing out the cost of the job was the price I paid. Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, we were unable to be home at the time we scheduled him to arrive and so we worked out a plan where we hid a key for him and went on faith. We came home we had a hard time figuring out if anyone was there when we were away. Phil called later that night to see if we were satisfied and I remarked how clean the house was. He takes a lot of pride in "leaving no trace". I later climbed up into the attic and saw the expert job Phil had done. There was a mix of both bats and blown insulation. I can tell you already that when the temps were in the mid 90's the other day, we were nice and cool inside. I'm sure in the winter we'll be nice and toasty. Final verdict: quality service at a fair price.

It went very good from beginning to end. The gentlemen checked the walls for insulation first. Then he drilled holes in the martyr between the bricks and blew in insulation with a machine and then he patched the holes with martyr. It took him two days to do the job. He cleaned up the mess it made. and put things back he had to move out of his way to do the work. He was very courteous and prompt.
