 + 4 moreIt went very well. Things were clear from the beginning and he was easy to work with. If he arrived at 8am with some parts and told me he had actually started at 7am, getting those parts, I believed him because he often downplayed the amount of time he spent at the supply stores. This had all been discussed before we started. He was aware of my time and costs. One time I wanted him to accompany me to a lamp/light fixture store to help pick out kitchen fixtures. He told me it would be an unnecessary expense to me to pay him for that time and I would end up getting all of the information and help from the staff at the store. But I insisted and he ended up being right. Basically before he did anything we discussed details and probable outcomes of the work. He was efficient with his time. I offered to pay him for some of his time before all of the work was finished but he declined. I paid him by check when all of the work was done.
Description of Work: He replaced 2 light fixtures, removed an old bathroom ceiling heater and vent light and installed a new one. He installed a new bathroom sink fixture and some new piping under the sink. He installed a towel bar and toilet paper roll holder. He removed glass shower doors and casings and repaired the holes left in the tile. He removed all old caulking around the tub and where the shower door had been and replaced with new caulking. He removed old stair handrail going between the first and second floor and replaced it with a wood handrail and supports. He bought unfinished handrail, stained and refinished it as well. He rehung a uneven traverse rod. He removed 2 light fixtures in the kitchen, which have yet to be replaced. He reversed the pull direction of two other traverse rods.
