 + -1 moreThe men showed up on time and got right to work. I didn't really supervise them because I figured they knew what they were doing. It took them approximately three hours to finish the job. After they left I walked around checking the windows and noticed small things such as screens not put back properly, blinds pulled up and not returned to their original position, furniture left sitting in the middle of the floor. I had used Bell Window service for several years, found him on Angie's List and was delighted with his work. I tried calling him again but couldn't get an answer so I choose Window Dudes because Angiie's List gave them an A rating. I won't use them again.
Description of Work: Two young men showed up and washed windows and screens. I have approximately 35 windows in a two story home.

 + -1 moreA crew of very nice young men came to the house and seemed eager to please. However it was clear that they had little experience and were not supervised by the Window Dude. When my wife complained to him, he sent them back....twice. They first tried a spray window cleaner, which left smears. The second time they rubbed around on the windows when my wife wasn't at home and without the morning sun on the windows. The third time........they got it right by following my wife's suggestion to use water and a squeegee. Too bad as we have our windows cleaned regularly and would like to find reliable workers.

 + -1 moreDru showed up on time and reviewed the work to be done. His two man crew came about an hour later. Dru got them started and then left for another job. They broke off a window and a door sensor for our alarm system which we did not notice until after they had left. We had to search the rooms for the sensors and found them on the other side of each room for some reason, but were able to glue them back in place - - neither worker mentioned this to us. A chunk of stucco is missing from under one of our second story windows from their ladder - again, not mentioned to us. Also, one of the bedroom screens was broken, which they did tell us about, and Dru arranged for that to be fixed the next day at no charge. I think they meant well, but lacked some experience and could have benefited from direct supervision by Dru.

 + 0 moreWindow washers have been the least reliable of workers in my previous experience. Don't return calls, don't show up, etc. I was surprised when the owner of this company called me back immediately, and its been one pleasant surprise after another. He shows up, shows up on time, does good work, and I'm fussy. I have lots of glass and skylights that face the sun, so I caught a few misses and streaks and the crew was eager to make it perfect. The boss asked me if I wanted to be on a schedule and have reminders, and I was grateful for that and agreed. He's also pleasant. I didn't rate the price, because I agreed to the price, so that would be me rating me, wouldn't it? Obviously I thought it a fair price. The Window Dude is among the top of the many tradesmen who have been working on my house. Really sharp.
Description of Work: Cleaned all windows and skylights outside and in. The house is very glass intensive.

 + -1 moreDru was a pleasure to deal with and he was responsive, prompt and his prices were fair. My only issue is that his helpers appeared they were getting on the job training as they spalshed water on the floors, walked through closed blinds and seemed clueless as to what they were doing. Dru was there to correct them and instruct them, but he was definitely the professional and they were not. I would have preferred to have just Dru doing the work or being assisted by people more experienced. Otherwise, he did a great job and I will use him again.

Description of Work: I am selling my house. It has a phenomenal view that was somewhat marred by windows that have only been superficially cleaned over the years. To complicate matters, the hard water from the sprinkler system really did a job on my downstairs front windows. With an Open House scheduled for the coming Sunday, I called Window Dude based on recommendations here on Angie's List. He was able to come to me the same day and spent a couple of hours with his crew of two (plus him) thrououghly cleaning the windows and the screens. He even made a special effort on the front windows. By the time he finsihed, the windows were as clear as if there were no glass to obstruct the views. The only windows that were problematic were the two front windows, but they were vastly improved.His charges are reasonable. Rather than charge by the window, if your house is under 4,000 sq. ft., he takes the square footage and divides by 10, regardless of the number of windows.

 + 0 moreThey actually came EARLY...calling ahead to make sure that was okay with us. They performed the job professionally . When they were through, there was not a smudge to be found. We have used them before and will use them again. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They washed our windows (all french) inside and out, our skylights and our solar panels. While some other companies charged a "price-per-pane." Dru charged a price based on the amount of work. As you can imagine, the "price-per-pane" method is extremely expensive and unfair to those of us with French windows and doors.

 + -1 moreI hired Dru when he offered a discount through Groupon. His window cleaning rate is based on your home's square footage divided by 10, but he has a $150 minimum. The crew came in an hour late but it was not an issue for me since I cleared the 3-hour window Dru gave me. Plus they called saying they would be late. David and Brad, two college-aged kids, came and did their work immediately. Cleaned interior and exterior windows plus brushed the screens. I was perhaps a little unrealistic with my expectation that all hard water stains would be removed. So don't expect flawless windows with the cleaning, especially in areas hit by sprinklers. After all, I waited 4 years to have this done. David worked inside so I had a chance to talk to him a bit. Very friendly and professional...these kids worked hard! They were done in 2 hours. I was pleased overall.
