Skyline Construction & Remodeling

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The initial offer said it was for 4 hours and the guy said it was 3 hours. I purchased all the materials so they were only there to do the labor. Cutting an hour out of the labor was a big deal for me so I called the owner and I printed out the Angie's List ad and showed it to him. He was willing to do that. They actually did more than 4 hours and they completed the work. It seemed like some of the work required two people and they only sent one guy. He said that he was only going to be able to do part of the work because it required two people and I told him that was the work I brought him there for so they had to get another guy to come and help him. The pricing was okay but they didn't do their homework on what they needed to do. I had sent them pictures and told them what I needed and they weren't prepared for that.

Eric was very professional, met me after work and provided me with an estimate. My house was build in 1924 and had never had anything done to the kitchen. It was in the worst shape. It took a little longer than expected because I couldn't make up my mind on colors, and a delay in the inspection. However, I'm in love with my kitchen now. I hope to hire Skyline to remodel my bathroom in the near future.

The scheduled time was 8-11am the tech showed up just before 8am, which was great. He came in, I showed him the work to be done, where the grout was and he went about doing what the job entailed. I went very smoothly, he was very professional and did not leave a mess.

It went very well. Drywall carpenter showed up on time and gave me 4 solid hrs of work. He fixed several broken drywall areas throughout my house. He accomplished everything I needed him to do and then some. Very courteous and helpful.

Pretty good work. I thought the replastering was a bit sloppy, other contractors have done cleaner work. However, he did a great job hanging my new light and removing the old ceiling fan. I would use them again as my second choice. I use one other contractor whose work is a bit cleaner.

The repairs to all 3 areas were of outstanding quality. Miguel is an artist with his materials, and his results were impeccable. I can't emphasize enough the high quality of the work -- really great!

They were not able to clean the old grout, so they basically covered it up with new grout that they had asked me to buy, but unfortunately they did not specify which kind to get, so the workman had to go out and get it himself, which took a lot of time and meant they couldn't do the whole kitchen. The workman was very nice and did a good job, but they should've been more precise in telling me specifically which kind of grout to get. Also, he bought a much larger box of grout than was necessary and so it ended up costing me more than I needed to spend. Overall, though, the kitchen looked much better when he was finished and I was glad I had had them do it.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Very professional, prompt, and I would definitely use this company again!

Skyline Construction & Remodeling was to the point by saying all of the grout didn't come clean and the only way to fix it was to put in new grout. They seemed knowledgeable but wished they took more time with it.

I purchased a kitchen makeover advertised on Angie's List for about $10,000 (can't remember exact price). After purchasing, I met the owner, Eric, who showed up on time and told me what I had purchased was not enough to give me what I wanted. He disclosed my options and I decided his prices seemed fair and made decision to upgrade to a nicer kitchen. The rental house was empty and I wanted to get a tenant quickly and asked if it could be done in 30 days. Eric said there was a good chance this could be done but the city inspectors can always delay the timing. Once I signed the contract his guys had the kitchen emptied out of all the old counters, cabinets, ceiling, etc in 2 days. They moved along just as Eric said he would and I appreciated his constant updates. He gave me choices on colors, etc and I appreciated his suggestions as I am not great with colors. The kitchen turned out great and the colors really match the house well. I ended up spending more than I anticipated but I think his prices were fair. He did some minor things at no cost (molding around window, new water line to fridge) and said did other electrical extras required by city, at his cost. The entire job took about 45 days with the delays caused by city inspections. All in all a good experience as I have heard many stories of contractors not showing up as promised, not be accessible, etc.

The worker was really nice and efficient. They did a great job.

This took longer to schedule. That could be partially my fault. I kept calling and I would get an answering service. It was a constant hit and miss. They would call me and I was not available. It took about 3 weeks before we were able to talk and the coupon I purchased was about to expire. Their was a language barrier with the worker. There was one part of the job that did not get done. We had run out of time and he could not do it. The pricing was good.

They came. They did what they said they would do in a timely fashion. I was happy with the result.

They did a really good job, on time, polite and I would highly recommend them.

Overall experience was negative. About two months after repair, the patch fell apart. Pulled away from the drywall. Did not contact the company because they were hard to deal with when scheduling initial job order. Would not have used them then, however had purchased a coupon/special offer. Poor workmanship. Can not recommend.

I purchased a coupon on Angie's List for up to three hours of grout repair. I waited a few months before calling them, but there was no problem using the coupon or scheduling the work. They showed up on time and did good work. I had to supply the grout, which I guess gave me a chance to find the best color match to the existing grout. Overall, a very good experience and an excellent value.

Very well. The worker was courteous, professional, and did an absolutely terrific job. I would use Skyline again in the future, but ONLY for drywall, as my experience with them on other projects was unsatisfactory.

The supervisor told me to get the wrong size gas hose and coupling. The cooktop did not fit down into the opening, so instead of informing me of the problem, the worker pounded it very hard so it would stay. Very fortunate not to have broken any counter tiles. He put the cabinet hinge on backwards inside the cabinet, and did not notify me that I had gotten the wrong style hinge for the job and just left it, so I didn't know about it until after he left. It will have to be redone. The worker didn't recognize the gas pipe and coupling the supervisor requested were the wrong size, and put them on anyway. When he was done, I told him a smelled gas in the kitchen. He said he didn't, but I called the gas company to come out while he was removing the carpeting. The gas co. said it was leaking gas badly, because it was the wrong size gas pipe and fitting. I called Skyline while the gas co. was repairing my gas line and fitting, and asked for a refund. They seemed reluctant, so the gas co. guy said "I'll explain it to him," took the phone and did so. Skyline refunded me $80 of the $ 290. $80 was what the gas co. charged me to fix Skyline's repair so my house wouldn't blow up or have me die of carbon monoxide poisoning. I must say, though, that I used Skyline for drywall, and they were great at drywall! ,

The overall experience was excellent, I mentioned most everything in the paragraph above, but I will reiterate and expand on my comments. The work was very well timed and organized, I was informed of every detail and I didn't have to miss very much work to meet with the construction workers or manager. The work done was amazing in quality, craftsmanship and design, and it was completed fairly quickly with no breaks in progress. The manager and all workers were very pleasant to work with and very professional. The resulting kitchen far surpassed my expectations -- it looks like a showcase kitchen to me.

able to get very timely appointment. Workman was punctual and very friendly. He completed the job and it looked very good. He cleaned up everything very well. I waited well over the 8 hours to use the sink as directed. In fact I waited over 24 hours but to my dismay when I stated using the sink the silicon began dissolving. I called the owner and advised him of what had happened. He told me he did not know why this happened but would sent someone out on Monday (as it was a week-end). I told him that this was unacceptable because I had a big dinner party on sunday and required the use of my sink. He did call me back to let me know that someone would be out by 5 oclock to fix the sink so it could be used the following day. The same workman returned an hour early and replace the silicon with a quick drying version. Again he was friendly and efficient and cleaned everything up. I let it dry overnight again and it looked very good and I had no problems when I used the sink. I was very pleased that owner was able to fix the situation and I would use them again.

You could not ask for a better general contractor than Eric. Right from the start he seems to key into your lifestyle and preferences. Ron was the project manager of my complicated remodel He handled all scheduling, details, problems, etc. He's the one who becomes like a member of the family so you'd better like him. You would like Ron. (And he has a professional tool kit that is a marvel to behold.)

Their service was fine. They took care of the small job quite expeditiously and professionally.

Eric came out immediately to give us a very fair estimate. We have used Skyline before and have been very pleased with their work. This time was just as good: the workers are very professional, they do excellent work, the price is fair and they keep to their appointment date. We are very happy with the finished product and their price. We unreservedly recommend Eric and his team for your construction and remodeling work. They are the best. FIVE STARS.

Project was supposed to be completed in 10 Days..Nope. The workers were kind, respectful, and always on time. They did everything their company instructed them to do. Unfortunately, Skyline construction fell flat on their face. Arik (or Erik) was my representative. He came around to collect payment, but never to check on the work being done. they did not remove the wood paneling in either bathroom as we had agreed upon. they did not stucco or match the finish of the other rooms in the home...as we had agreed upon. Arik left me a message with the exciting news that we were almost done! Except the walls were smooth and eggshell white. To their credit, they tried again to get the desired finish. But again, they failed. repainted the walls in the same eggshell white. I have no doubt that this project's failure was 100% the fault of the rep Skyline assigned to this project. He over promised his crew's, and his own, capabilities. He was rude, condescending, and consistently abrasive. It was very bittersweet telling Skyline that they were fired. And if Mr. SmartASS is reading this, kiss my a**.

Started really good ended poorly, I was very upset about the entire process
