Peter was on time, polite, skilled and clean. He cleaned the problem areas where some of the travertine was broken and the grout was cracked or missing. He was very clean and did beautiful work. We are trilled with the outcome.

This guy was great! Responsive, responsible, punctual, professional, flexible, expert and detail oriented and communicates the scope, the timing and the price very well. Called them on a Monday, they said they could check it out Tues afternoon, which I booked. Then Tues. morning I had to change the time, and Peter, the 'guy' -- was able to come over earlier in the day to suit my change in schedule. He said it was a small job and could do it immediately or at least later in the afternoon. I asked him to come over around 4pm which he did and he got right to work. He worked continuously and quickly finished the job. He found all the areas that needed work and even found some I'd not noticed before, making sure to get out any mildew and other irregularities. He took care to show me the color he planned to use, to be sure I liked it and then finished off the job with a good sealant. I have a few other projects that I plan to call him back for when I get the time! I heartily recommend The Grout Experts!

Peter was on time, friendly and hard working. It took him 2 days to finish the job and he worked straight through with only a short break for lunch. All of our 13 year old white grout is brand new and beautiful again! Looks like the day we moved in!

They provided the estimate, but it seemed expensive for the services to be performed. Overall they were courteous and prompt, but I'm not sure I'd utilize them for the price.

I am very satisfied with The Grout Expert service. The job took nearly two full days where he arrived on time 8am each day, and worked almost without pause/break during first day. This included repairing/replacing some tile and grout to as-new condition. The second day was stain grout sealer application where the stain color was tailored to match the original tile grout color. The Grout Expert advised me to be sure to thoroughly vacuum the tile before mopping, and to mop only with soap and water. I had been using vinegar/water solution for many years, and often didn't take the time to vacuum that thoroughly before mopping. Turns out the vinegar solution had been attacking the grout. I now mop only with a mixture of 1 tablespoon dish soap in a 1 quart spray bottle, applying the spray to the mopping pad, not to the floor directly.

He was great. The price was good but we thought it was going to be a little less. He was very clean and everything looked great after he left. He responded right away.

Came out to review project and gave me a written proposal on the spot. Scheduled the work a few days later. Came on time. Was neat. Did a very good job. Offered advice for future needs. Re grouted behind my kitchen sink faucet which is very difficult.

Peter is an excellent tile person - very knowledgeable and precise in his work. We had the job looked at by two other tile companies - and choose Peter. Peter removed the affected tiles assessed the damage and showed us what had happened because of the water intrusion. He was very detailed in his explanations and quick to answer any questions that we had. He made sure that the number of affected tiles was correct so that we would not be ordering too many tiles. The removal and re-grouting of the tiles was a difficult process because the original tiles had not been properly installed - and Peter had to make up a fix as he went along. The total job took several days due to the drying and setting of the tiles - as the tiles had not been installed correctly and they did not fit correctly above the tub. We greatly appreciated the time he took to make sure that every phase of the work was done correctly so that there would not be any future problems. If we have any tile problems or need some tile installation Peter will be the first person that we call - he is very knowledge offered advise and only charged for the work that was done.

I have a 12 year old house that is approximately 4400 square feet and there is a lot of travertine. There are also 5 bathrooms of which 4 of them are tiled. I have had the travertine polished and sealed every 2 years, but I have not had the grout cleaned and sealed. The bathrooms were starting to show wear in the showers on the floors and the corners. I called Peter for an estimate on 7/21/2013 and he showed up on 7/22. We walked through the entire house and I showed Peter where I needed grout cleaned and sealed. He meticulously wrote down each item that we talked about. He was able to give me a quote right then and there. I gave him a 10% deposit and scheduled him to come back on August 2nd to start the job. He said that it was a big job so it might take 2-3 days. Peter showed up early on Friday, August 2 and completed the job on August 3rd. He worked really hard and wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with his work. Both days, we walked around at the end of the day and he showed me the finished product. I will definitely call Peter again the next time I need this type of work done. Peter is a professional.

We had grout coming out after a remodel two years ago. Peter came out and submitted quote. We had a couple other things taken care of at the same time. He was prompt at installation, and all went great.

Staff worked very hard and the results look really good. I would use them again, but ask better questions and supervise closer knowing what I know now. There were a couple of things that seemed a bit of a bait and switch: 1) They looked at the cracked tiles that needed replaced as part of getting the job, but later tried to back out of doing the worst tile (most important to me) because it went partially under the refrigerator and it would involve moving the refrigerator, disconnecting the ice maker water, etc. , etc.. I (60-year old female) moved it and made them follow-through; also 2) The Grout Expert website says that the "cleaning service" includes replacing missing grout and securing loose tiles. However, in the the bath were they were both cleaning and sealing the shower floor and vanity counter they said during the job that in order to fill the small crack were the horizontal surfaces meet the vertical it would be another $150. This should have been disclosed up front (instead of during the process), as they were the ones that recommended the services each area needed. More minor, but irritating, were that: 1) of the four tiles in a row with hairline cracks that were replaced, they ran two the wrong direction with the rest of the floor. The tiles, although one color, had a texture that was directional; also 2) without asking, they put goopy sealant around the sink on the tile vanity they cleaned/sealed. Not a neat, thin bead of sealant -- but up to 1/2 inch wide with a raggedy application. It took me two hours to clean this off.

Peter arrived promply at the scheduled appointment time. He did a beautiful job in regrouting thethe walls around the guest bathroom bathtub and the shower floor in the master bedroom bathroom. We would highly recommend Peter and The Grout Expert Company to anyone needing this type of service.Peter is very professional and truly cares about doing a great job. We called him to come back toregrout around the guest bathroom toilet after we had our tile floors cleaned. Once again Peter didan outstanding job.

They were very professional. It looks nice and clean now. I was nervous about having people in the house, but I didn’t hear them or see them. The workers were very quiet and professional. I am not so sure if they have a good price. I chose them because I had a very good impression of the owner, Ricky. I don’t know if it was a very good price. He was so professional, and he came twice to talk with me, and that is what really impressed me.

Our home is 24 years old, and the past few months we've been updating it by repainting all existing kitchen and bath cabinets, replacing their doors and hardware, re-painting the entire house inside and out, replacing the rollup garage door, etc. etc. You get the picture. The last project on our list was to re-grout the shower/tub enclosure in the large master bath/shower and at the same time, the ceramic tile flooring in the master and secondary baths were in need of some serious grout cleaning and resealing of the grout, plus the kitchen sink needed to be caulked. We called 4 Angie's List members who deal in regrout/cleaning of tile. Peter was the first to respond. We met, and upon talking to him, we could see he was very knowledgeable, and sounded as if he would be very thorough. We then met with 3 more contractors......Peter's price was right in the middle - not too high, and not the lowest. We were impressed with his explanation as to what he would do, and with his reviews/feedback on this site and one other. Peter arrived promptly, worked diligently throughout the day and a half he was here; showing us what he was doing as he went along. He was one of the most organized, clean contractors we have ever hired. He is truly a professional in his field of work, as our baths look brand new. We have had our baths re-grouted in 2 other homes we have owned, and none turned out as well as the one's Peter did for us this time. We would not hesitate to use his services again, and will recommend him to our family and friends. Thank you, Peter, for making our baths look new again! We really appreciate your hard work and professionalism!

Peter was on time. neat, and did an excellent job. I am planning on using him again.

I got an estimate over the phone which was cheaper than another company since they had $200 minimum. I happened to be home and asked if they could come the same day and they were able to accomodate me. Peter showed up on time, explained the process to me and gave me a written estimate before he started. He was able to finish the job in about 3 hours. They did a great job, price was reasonable and I would use them again in the future.

Overall it was a good experience. My only issue was when he came to look at the job to give me a quote, he wanted me to put up 30% to "reserve the date." I told him, I'd pay when he came back to do the work, and if he didn't show up, no problem. There are many other companies available to do the work...

He was great. He was on time and did a great job. He also did a side job on the floor. He definitely knew what he was going.

The grout man ("Peter") arrived on time within 2 hours of when I phoned, quoted a price, and did an excellent job of regrouting around our kitchen sink. It took him about one hour and fifteen minutes.

They did a good a on the grout repair, but we had some problems with the sealing on the bathroom floors. We had to have them come back and fix that.

He did an excellent job. He came in and worked most of the day. He did exactly what he said. My wife was really pleased. He did a good job and was very efficient. He cleaned up after himself. I called him back for something and he took care of it immediately.

It was fine. He gave me an estimate over the phone based on my description of what needed done. His price was fair and he was helpful in giving suggestions in how I could maintain the grout. He was very pleasant to deal with.

It started out with an estimate, and he came out and told me what to do. And he came back within 2 days and he did the work that he said he would and I am very pleased with the tile.

Excellent result. The technician was professional and courteous. He showed up on time and worked very hard all day. He completely cleaned the grout in the shower, then sealed it. Our shower has never looked better; the same for the kitchen floor. The sealant used on the kitchen floor was a slightly lighter shade than the original grout color and looks great. I am very pleased with the results.

The worker arrived promptly, examined the job, quoted a cost, and told me approximately how long it would take. I gave the "okay", signed a work order, and he went to work. It took him about 75 minutes from start to finish. He cleaned up completely.
