California Chimney Sweep is dedicated to helping make your home safe from fire damage. We are a small, family-owned chimney service company whose mission is to provide quality service and honest advice. We have 30 years of experience, so you can trust that we will give you the best advice and service possible. California Chimney Sweep was started in 1984 by Vince McCauley when he started in 1984 he ran the business out of our VW Bus. We have grown into a professional chimney sweeping service with over 30 years experience. For 30 years we have provided superior service to our customers that keeps them coming back. Many of our long-time customers have been with us for over 25 years. We have obtained an "A" Rating on popular consumer review websites, as a result of the many satisfactory reports submitted by the customers we’ve served.

Services we don't offer

We do not rebuild earthquake damaged fireplaces. We do not plumb natural gas to fireplaces. Nesting birds, possums, & racoons cannot be removed from a chimney during the nesting process. They are federally protected. However, they can be monitored.

Description of Work: They came out, evaluated the chimney and necessary repairs and left promising to email, fax or mail an estimate. I never received one. I called later in November, leaving my contact information, but, to date, have not heard from them. I am very disappointed.

After several weeks of discussing and thinking about your issues-the crack that wraps the 3 outside sides of your fireplace at shoulder height-we do not have the needed equipment for your repairs and could not agree on the proper way to repair your fireplace. At this point in time, we will send you a check to refund your payment for the consultation and recommend Boston Brick & Stone as the company which could best deal with this problem.
