California Chimney Sweep

All went well with the cleaning and waiting for them to put in new chimney cap.

Excellent! Knowledgeable and personable sweeps arrived when they said they would, performed all requested work neatly & efficiently. Prices were fair and well-worth the cost for services performed. This picky customer was very satisfied and will use these pros again.

It was good. Patrick showed up on time and made sure everything was cleaned up before he left. The only issues I have are: There was no signage on his truck. And we were talking while I wrote my check. So it was not until after he left, that it dawned on me that I did not get a receipt. I personally feel better when the company I hire has their logo on their trucks and I get a logo, with details of service, on a receipt. Those are the only complaints.

He did a great job, was knowledgeable, energetic and personable.

It went great! Tim was very professional. He kept in good contact with me before he showed up, and did a nice job cleaning or chimney and fireplace. He also inspected my chimney and fireplace to give me a heads up on any potential future problems. I will definitely call them in the future.

Vince took the explain about chimney and fireplace care. He also gave us great advice on converting to a gas log set and will be back to install after the one we chose is delivered. I feel confident now in our choice after he shared his knowledge. He also reattached our previously misinstalled glass screen.

Tim and Ian arrived within the specified time frame and went right to work. Inspection found some additional items that need to be addressed at a later date and a fair quote was provided for this work. Chimney sweep and cap installation was performed quickly and cleanly. Professional, honest and efficient. I will work with this company again and recommend to my neighbors. I give them 5 stars and a tip of my hat.

Amazing! Great guys! Knowledgable and professional.

I was impressed at first, my husband was not. My husband was suspicious of this company and he was right to be so. This company told me that my gas log units had ASBESTOS instead of gas log ember stuff. It turns out a competitor "Ye Olde Chimney Company" exposed this company since the ember stuff was actually a common Rasmussen "Ember Magic" used to create the glowing coal look of a real fireplace. You can look it up on the internet and see how it could fool a homeowner but not someone in the chimney business. I would have been "taken for a ride" if the manipulative tactic fooled my husband. As it turned out, we hired "Ye Olde" and instead of over $900 the cost was $450 by "Ye Olde" and MORE work was done! Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion before hiring California!

Vince was terrific. What I wanted done was out of my budget, but Vince was able to do what I needed to get done for a very reasonable fee. His office administrator Bill was so very courteous. Everyone a joy to work with.

Great. The guys called to let us know a Sig alert was delaying them. I had to go pick up my son from school and they were still working, but they finished and closed up the house for me. Reassuring to know you can leave your home while the service tech is still there and have them be so professional!

Well, having soot problems now but to be expected

Vince and Tim did an excellent job. My fireplace has never looked so good. I had forgotten what the logs even looked like. Tim rearranged them for better air flow as well. They explained everything that was getting done and went over details that I should be aware of for fire/carbon monoxide safety & replaced my glowing “embers” as we discussed. I was so glad that I had the dryer vent cleaned. There was lint all the way to the exit on the roof. I have a new dryer but never had the entire vent totally cleaned out. I used my dryer the day after they came and the clothes are drying faster. Total price was as quoted & totally worth it.

It went great. The cap has now been installed. Now, I'm waiting for the years accumulation of dirt to dry out so that I can have the chimney cleaned out and hopefully be able to use it next year.

We charged me for the special which was more than fair, but he also picked up my gas log at that shop and came and installed it. It was all done at one time. He was an expert in his field. He was knowledgeable; he was friendly. It was good value for the money that we spent, and he was helpful and efficient. He knew the guys from the other shop and picked up our gas log and brought it here and installed it.

The work was done efficiently, and with with accurate explanation of services.
