The Roof Masters

The Roof Masters ran a clean job of removing old flat roof and installing a new one. They have a 20 year transferable warranty on the entire roof. They did not charge for bad wood replacement which I had. They accidentally tore a hole in my in my canvas car port and replaced the entire canvas by the canvas expert that originally installed the car port. This was done at no cost to me. I had paid them only one half of the price of the roof and they did not hassle me for any more money during the wait for the canvas to be installed. I made the final payment on the roof after I inspected the canvas install. I feel the owner, Adolfo Verdugo, is a upstanding citizen and a fair business man.

The entire team at Roof Masters was the most professional and easy to work with business I have ever done business with. It was a pleasure working with Johnny Martinez who saw to our every need and responded quickly to questions that came up. The office team was also very thorough and quick to respond to us. The roofers did an absolute beautiful job on our roof. We are very happy we selected Roof Masters and I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone.

Last winter during the heavy rains I discovered we had some damage to the wood surrounding my roof, likely caused by flashing problems. I requested three estimates through Home Advisor and two on my own. Two of the Home Advisor contractors came to look at the roof. The third cancelled on me twice, so I told him to forget it. One of the other two showed up. In the end all three told me the roofs in the subdivision were pushing 30 years old, the flashing problem could be fixed, but they estimated the roof was only going to last another two or three years and recommend we replace it. At the time we were getting the estimates several of my neighbor’s roofs were leaking, so I decided to do the full job. One of the contractors only wanted to give me a verbal quote. Another’s written quote was handwritten on a piece of paper. Frankly, the lack of professionalism made me suspect their work might not be up to snuff. My impression was their company consisted of them, a cellphone and a bunch of guys they hire when they start a job. The third contractor was Roof Masters. Johnny showed up in a Roof Masters company truck wearing a Roof Masters shirt. He went on the roof, took pictures of the problems and described what needed to be done. As with the other estimates he told me the tiles needed to be pulled up, new felt needed to be put down, the flashings needed to be fixed and vents needed to be sealed. Johnny told me Roof Masters used a 50 year synthetic felt instead of regular felt and offered a 20 year leak guarantee with the job. In addition he recommended we install flat vents in the roof to lower the attic temperature during the summer…..great idea, because our second story runs about ten degrees hotter than the first floor during the hot months. Johnny completed an estimate and emailed it to me from inside his truck in front of my house. The estimate was in line with the others I got, but the initial experience with Roof Masters convinced me I was dealing with a very professional company that was licensed and insured. I picked them to do the job. My thoughts about Roof Masters were confirmed when they had a Porta Potty placed in front of my house at the start of the job….just like a professional construction site. I had not thought of this before, because I had not seen other roofers in my neighborhood do it, but when you are having a week long roofing job being done with four to seven workers, they are going to need to go to the bathroom. Without that toilet your choices are…they go in your house, they go in your yard or they leave the job to seek out a toilet. It was 100 degrees a couple of days during the job and the Roof Master crew did not let up. The workers were pleasant and I never saw of them lagging and I was there every day they were working. They completely cleaned up every day making sure there were no hazards such as nails in the yard. I joked my yard looked better than before they started. During the job I was able to

The Roof Masters professionally installed a composite roof on a 3 unit condominium. They were competitive in pricing, were the most responsive both from the field and the office. Leon provided the estimate and stayed in touch throughout, completing his work with the final walkthrough. The crew worked diligently throughout and left the grounds cleaner than when they started. I would highly endorse them for other roofing projects.

Started on time, cleaned up well after they finished. The work was excellent, however we haven't had a good rain since! Maybe more later.

Jhonny the project manager was my 3rd quote came out and gave me an estimate he was professional, knowledgeable and honest. I was in need of a new roof and they made the process so smooth, from Claudia and Teresa in the office being so friendly and professional. To Rudy the owner answering all my questions and guiding me through the process, he answered all my calls or called me back right away! They truly have an amazing team. I am happy with my new roof, Pedro and his crew arrived on time and left no mess behind! They checked in with me everyday and listened to any new requests I had. Roof masters is a very professional company who takes pride in their work that you can see with the completed product, I have solar installed which they were able to remove complete the reroofing and reinstall the solar panels at a very reasonable cost which was just one of quite a few built in bonuses that other companies wanted to charge an exorbitant amount to do the same work, such as extra wood if needed new 2"drip edge flashing around entire entire perimeter of the roof GAF systems plus 50 year warranty included and a 20 year leak warranty for the entire roof. the only ding that I will give them is that they could have a little better communication with how the project is progressing, other than that I am very pleased with there work and they or highly recommended.

Arrived on time, worked quickly & well, was very neat. Cleaned all up when complete.

I went with The Roof Masters because of the "no extra charges for any wood replacement" feature (which I didn't need) and because they gave me the longest guarantee. The quality of the materials used was very high and the workmanship very good (thanks Gandhi!). There were a couple of missed cosmetic issues because the crew worked late and got the roof done in one day, but after I called, they came back and fixed them on the next weekend. Leon, the project manager, was good to work with. The final proof of the job will come next winter with a big rain storm, but I'm optimistic that the roof will be water-tight. If not, I'm sure Roof Masters will be responsive in fixing the problem. So far, so good!

The Project Manager (Leon), the workers (Frank & Jonathan) and the office workers (Teresa & Claudia) were all very nice and friendly. Roof Masters' charges were very competitive and there were no "hidden charges" . I will definitely re-hire them and have also recommended them to two friends who can use their services.

I had a terrible situation with inept solar installers who damaged my tile roof and were unable to repair it for six months. Roof Masters came in and fixed the problems and even cleaned up the mess the solar people made, doing the whole job over again so it would be done right. They came when they said they would come, did their work, cleaned up properly, and all at a very fair price. These are professional craftsmen who know what they are doing and take pride in their work, providing old-fashioned service. Roof Masters gets my highest-possible recommendation.

They did what they said they would do...on time, on budget and with high quality. The 2 men who repaired the roof worked hard,they were friendly,they did the extra things that they saw needed to be done and the left the worksite as clean as when they arrived. We would re-hire them without reservation.

I had an entire roof replacement. The one thing I like about Roof Masters was that the price included everything. They were a bit higher but other companies had an additional charge for replacing wood, removing extra shingles etc. That is something that you don't know until you begin the work. As I was working on a budget knowing what it was going to cost from the beginning was important to me. The Roof Masters also had a better warranty and they lifted the AC to get under it and replace the roof. In addition they removed three layers of shingle and told me there was three layers on the roof which was not code legal. The other companies didn't mention that. The one problem I felt was that they had an additional 3% fee for using a credit card. I understand that businesses are charged to accept payment with a debit or credit card but it is often a problem to the customer, especially with a purchase of this amount. Often roof repair is not planned and it would be a selling point if the customer could charge the purchase without an additional fee. I feel this is just an expense that the business needs to build into the cost of doing business. They can even pass part of the cost on to the customer.

Very good at what they do. I didn't check many prices but they knew what they were doing. My project took longer than they expected but they didn't increase the price or complain. Very good quality and customer service.

I was pleasantly surprised by their responsiveness, not only to my original request for estimate but throughout the whole project. Their estimate was fair and their professionalism was obvious. They provided before-and-after photos for my review. I highly recommend this company.

I didn't get another estimate so I'm not sure about the price. I just wanted it done and the;y did it promptly and did a good job and cleaned up afterward.

Rudy's crew from Roof Masters arrived exactly on time, analyzed the water leak into the attic, and explained the repair to be done. The fellows were very courteous, pointed out every step of the process, and took many pictures. All debris was removed completely. The work is very professional; I would highly recommend Roof Masters.
