Marcie the scheduler found an installation crew of three Victor, Brian and Jorge to come on a Saturday saying that the install would take 6-7 hours. On the day of the install, Victor and his crew arrived on time and began the process of taking out the old windows and bringing the new windows and setting them against the building. Before the first window was installed a golfer (I live next to a golf course) broke one of the new windows! Victor call the owner of the company and arranged to change out the broken window the following Thursday, for the charge of the service call. The rest of the install went well and Victor came back the following Thursday as promised, and replaced the window for NO CHARGE! Needless to say my wife and I are two happy customers and have already referred Pelican to our friends and neighbors.

All in all an excellent experience. Mr. Skeer took the measurements for the initial estimate as well as final order, he was extremely efficient but courteous, the consummate professional. He always patiently but thoroughly answered questions and never treated me condescendingly. The gentlemen who installed the windows were equally professional, they too were efficient and courteous, no macho antics. Mr Skeer's initial estimate was spot on with the final cost. I will definitely use Pelican Windows and Remodeling for future jobs, Mr. Skeer and his employees obviously care about the quality of their work, they are people of integrity.

The overall experience was excellent. The sales representative was thorough in his presentation and explained all our options in regards to energy efficient windows. His communication was excellent as he returned phone calls in a timely manner. The cost was very reasonable for the type and number of windows and sliding doors we needed. The installers were very knowledgeable, experienced, clean, fast (1 day) and efficient in their work. They carefully removed and replaced the window coverings, and worked around obstacles that could not be moved. We were very satisfied with all aspects of the sale, installation and the finished products.

They were fine, did the job neatly, and they did everything according to our expectations.

I have used them a couple times now. They always do what they say they will do, are very efficient, and do a great job . I like that they show up on time, and are very reliable. There were some issues with some of the projects, but they were able to trouble shoot and figure everything out. They were very professional, and thoroughly explained everything to me.

We started with Angie's list to get qoutes, and we had 4 different companies come out. Tim, the owner of Pelican Windows,came to our home to do an estimate He was actually the lowest priced of the companies we had out here. My husband and I also visited their showroom to have a look at the product. Once we decided to go with Pelican Windows, Tim returned with his lead installer, Tito. the two of them took their time to really assess the special needs of our home. Both men were courteous and professional. The installation took approximately 3 days. The crew that came out did a wonderful job. Tito continued to comunicate with us through the entire process making sure that we were happy with the results. Tito was a great problem-solver, and he was certain to pay attention to small details as well. Tim came out about midway through the project to check out the work and check on what we thought about the job. We were not asked to make any payments upfront. We did not pay for anything until the job was completely done, and we were satisfied. On the last day, the crew did all the finish work and did a good job of leaving everything in nice condition. The windows look amazing. We were very happy with the enitre experience.

The salesman, David Ciberay, arrived for our appointment on time. He knew his product, answered all my questions and made suggestions that helped improve the appearance and function of the windows. All the windows and one door of our home were to be replaced and David took such meticulous measurements on the initial visit that a second appointment was not necessary. The price he quoted at that time was exactly the final price. Three weeks later the crew arrived on time on the day scheduled. Tito, the foreman, and the whole crew were amazingly efficient, polite and very hard working. The work was finished in one day. I could not have asked for more. Thank you all.

Fantastic job, great quality and wonderful service

The main window replacements were set to take 2 days. The men came on time and were friendly and very professional. They worked hard the first day to replace 80% of the windows and finished off the other windows the next day. The additional extra new window and door were secured and patched with the first layer of stucco on the second day and finished off a week later. The stucco texture on the outside of the house and the knock down texture on the inside of the house was extremely well done. All in we had our expectations exceeded and would heartily recommend Pelican to anyone considering replacement or new construction windows.

I know him personally. The project was perfect and there were no problems. He noticed a problem and we didn't. He fixed it without us even complaining about it. He is really conscientious and takes pride in his work. He's a really nice guy. He has some helpers but it is primarily him. It is a family owned company. His wife and daughter help answer the phone. He does an excellent job.

AR Lebaron is top notch. They have replaced all the doors and windows for us in two houses. They are wonderful to work with, quality of work was excellent, they showed up on time and cleaned up when they were finished. One of the best if not THE best contractor I have ever dealt with.

We met with five different window companies and David, the Pelican rep, was the most straight forward, thorough, and had the best price (almost half of what other companies quoted us for the same brand!!). David had been an installer so he inspected and measured every window in our house, noting potential red flags as he went. We were concerned about how vinyl would look on this "beach cottage" style home but he suggested a Simonton product that actually gave us more glass (than other bulkier vinyl options) and did not detract from the old style of the house. Marcie, the office manager was very knowledgeable, providing further details about the actual width of the window frame to help us visualize how they would look. When we finally decided to go with Pelican, I was going to send a deposit but was told I could pay when the job was completed and I was totally satisfied with the work. On December 6th, the crew arrived on time and finished the job in one day. Overall, Pelican made the process a pleasant experience from beginning to end. They've been around a long time and stand behind their products. We'd definitely do business with them again.

Dave, the estimator was more knowledgeable, and provided better information and recommendations than his competitor. Once the work was scheduled, they showed up on time, and finished the work when promised. Quality of work was excellent. I would definitely use them again, and recommend them to others.

I did make a point of telling Mr. LeBaron my negative experience with the largest Milgard Window/Door installer company in San Diego County. He was surprised and told me that was the first time he had ever heard of a negative experience with the company. After arriving he began to act very nervous and his speech began to be shaky as well as his hands began to more than mildly shake. I could tell he was not happy about being at the house because of my dissatisfaction with a prior company that he claimed to know very well. After looking at some of the windows we went into the bedrooms and he claimed some building code where the windows were too high for him to install replacement windows because fire fighters need a minimum height of "X" amount of inches to be able to climb through the window. He explained being that I could not give him enough windows to replace he would need to decline the offer. This is even though he advertises himself to say "No Job is Too Small." I asked him about that and he stated that that was really for people in the Tierrasanta area because of gas prices. etc. I think he was just more concerned about the potential of me evaluating him just as poorly as the first company we used. Furthermore, I live-in and work-for the City of Chula Vista. I spoke with the Fire Marshall in the city and he stated that Mr. Lebaron was misleading. With homes built in the years of my house, 1956, the fire code states that I cannot make the window smaller, but I am permitted to make a replacement window the same size or bigger. He stated, "bigger is always better for fire fighters." Therefore, I believe Mr. LeBaron was more concerned about upsetting a fellow competitor than actually providing real service.

We chose to install the Milgard Tuscany windows in our house. After talking with A R LeBaron and getting his estimate we decided that there was no better deal out there. And sure enough we were correct. They arrived on the day of the install on time and ready to begin work. In all we had 11 windows replaced. It took them only about 6 hours to complete the work. They left the areas that they worked in very clean and they cleaned the windows so they were crystal clear.

The price was good and they provided us with several references. The owner and his son-in-law did the work themselves. They did an excellent clean up and gave us vinyl strips that match the windows to lay in the tracks of the sliding glass doors for added security at no charge.

Everything had good quality and looks really attractive. The windows resulted in much better isolation, and it's much quieter inside the house when they are closed. The price was competitive, and I had asked for other bids so I was able to negotiate.

The office, run by his wife Carol, was very responsive when we called. Alden came out the next day to explain the process and the product, measure and give us a bid. There was no sales pitch at all. His price was at or below the other big companies we had bids from. Alden and Richard were there every morning at 7am and worked until noon. They worked quickly, efficiently, and cooperatively to get the most done each day. They were very organized, answered all our questions, and were very personable. They even helped to remove blinds and curtain rods when necessary and to replace them when asked. The work went smoothly and we were very pleased with the finished product. Alden found a problem with two of the screens and ordered replacements from the factory immediately. We did have one problem a week later when a screen door was knocked off its track and damaged a piece of the track. They came back the next day and repaired it.

GOOD JOB, HE WAS HERE WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD BE. FINISHED ON TIME.

THIS IS A LOCAL CARLSBAD COMPANY, WHICH I HAVE UTILIZED OVER THE PAST 10 YEARS, SINCE I BUILT MY LAST HOME WHICH WAS OVER 6,000 SQUARE FEET AND HAD MANY WINDOWS AND SLIDING GLASS DOORS. WITH THAT JOB THEY WERE VERY GOOD ABOUT INSTALLING ALL THE WINDOWS AND DOORS AND I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM. WITH THIS JOB, THEY JUST REPLACED A BROKEN DUAL PANED WINDOW ON THE SECOND STORY OF MY NEW HOME WHICH A NEIGHBOR BROKE PLAYING BASEBALL. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.
