Three weeks after we were measured and our order placed, we received a phone call to schedule the installation for the following week. The material arrived right on time with a virtual army of installers. Everyone seemed to have their assignments and went to work on their own, helping each other when needed. I was amazed at the process, my last window upgrade project was for new windows, this one was for retrofit. This option retains the old window frames and the product simply popped in after some preparation. The installers were very exact in ensuing the product was installed correctly, checking alignment and level constantly. They finished on-time and reinstalled all shades and other window treatments that had to be taken down. Both of my projects used Milgard products, which we believe are some of the best on the market. They are attractive and operate smoothly and with minimal effort.

Great company to work with. They responded to my request in a timely manner. Evan, the rep from the company was very professional and followed up several times with me. They beat the competition by $1000. The installers were also professional and worked all day to install my sliders and windows. The new sliders and windows look great.

Great job. Wonderful service. Selected 4 companies for estimates. Rejected one that performed poorly for my daughter, and had the others come out for their sales pitch and estimate. Pelican was slightly higher than the lowest bidder, but we were much more comfortable with Tim the owner. We met a second time at his office/showroom to see full size samples, and Tim and Tito the job manager made a second trip to the house to discuss the installation as we had some complications (termite damage around one slider and more) that could cause problems with the install. They estimated 1 1/2 days for the install but warned us it could take 2 full days. On the promised day, Tito showed up with another installer and went to work. On day one, they removed the 3 existing sliders and got the new ones in place, level, and exterior trim installed. On day two, they did some minor tweaks, installed the windows and completed the interior trim. And of course it rained all day, which made their job a bit harder, but didn't impact the quality of the job. The new sliders have a new latching mechanism that allows the doors to be left open a crack, and provide extra security when they're closed. When I commented that I wished the opening could be a bit bigger, they offered to adjust it for us. We can now secure the door with either a 2 or 6 inch opening if we want. A minor point to most, but an example of their customer focus.

I obtained three bids from 'A' rated retrofit window suppliers for installation of a patio door and bedroom window using Milgard Tuscany series. The price range was about 20% with Pelican providing the best bid for the work. After Tim came and confirmed the measurements and his price, I placed the order with Pelican. Once the hardware delivery schedule was available Pelican provided an install date of Feb.25 at 9am. The office called a day ahead to confirm that the installers would be there as scheduled. The morning of Feb 25 they arrived and proceeded with the work. Both installers, Rico and Javier, were professional, efficient, and courteous. They removed the old aluminum window and door and completed installation of the new vinyl units in a very neat manner. It took about 3-1/2 hours and they left the condo as neat as they found it. I was very pleased with their reliability, timeliness, work quality and their price. I would recommend tham to anyone.

Wow, Pelican is amazing. I couldn't be happier. Here's the details. I met with several top installers from Angie?s List to get a bid for new sliding doors and windows in my home. All companies had great Angie's List ratings and comments, and the reps I met with were friendly and knowledgeable. However, it was immediately clear that Pelican was a cut above the rest. The other salesmen seemed rushed ? they wanted to come in, measure, and get to the next appointment. They didn?t sit down and give me a quick education about their product, different options, etc. Rather, I had to ask questions to get information about what I would be purchasing. On the other hand, the * owner* of Pelican -- Tim -- arrived at my house to measure and give me a bid. He immediately walked me through a window/door 101 (I didn?t have to ask) and explained the different options, the pros/cons of things, etc. He didn?t try to rush through it, which was a marked difference from the other companies. Then, I received all the bids. Pelican and other companies were relatively similar in price, while one company was markedly higher. Based on my experience thus far, I went with Pelican because they had a personal touch, they cared, and I just trusted them more. Throughout the whole process, they didn't let me down. During the HOA approval process, and the subsequent ordering process, Tim and his team were great to work with. Another bonus was that Pelican went out of their way to work around my husband's and my work schedule. When install day came, they arrived right on time. The installers were knowledgeable, friendly, and careful to keep my home clean. I am very detail-oriented, and I can tell you that their install work was excellent. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect, to include installing custom-made trim around the outside of my sliding doors. Tim even showed up to help his crew for a few hours, since I had a big job and my work schedule dictated that the install be done in one day. I can?t say enough good things about this company, its owner and employees! If you want a professional yet personal experience, hire Pelican. If only other home renovations were this easy ...

Easiest installation ever. Evan came out to measure 22 windows. Sent me an email with a proposal, $3000 less than three others. Agreed and scheduled via email, no paperwork. Installed by Rico and crew in two days, without any dirt or disturbances.

Being retired I met with 11 different window replacement companies. Wanted to do it right. Contacted Pelican and met with Tim Skeer (owner) at my house. Meeting lasted 1 hour, Tim is quite knowledeable, no pressure, very professional, later in the day I was emailed a quote on the project. Went with Pelican to do the job, they installed Simonton window products ( 12 windows / 2 Patio doors ). Installation team included Rico, Installation manager, Josh and Jake. Process took 2 full days, the team took pride in their work, again very professional, they cared about their work product. Finishing work follow up with Tito coming out to the house to do some additional molding work, again fine work performed. Bottom line; quality product, quality installation team, fair price, would highly recommend you include them in your bid process.

A Pelican window salesman came to the house and gave a estimate. We checked several other window companies and they were all comparable. We felt very confident after checking some references that they were very professional. We ordered the windows and they were installed a week later. The install crew were very knowledgeable and did a great job. They cleaned up and hauled all the old windows away.

Excellent job by the workers. Rico was the head installer and he had two guys with him, one was Jake. They came in and replaced 8 windows as well as a sliding glass door in approximately 5.5 hours time. Great job on the installation and my townhome looks and feels great now. Tim, you really gave a great deal on my windows plus installation and haul away of the old products and I would really like to thank you and your crew for the work on my home.

We called Pelican to get a quote for replacing the two-story window in our living room that was rattling and was drafty. One of Pelican's sales people came out the same day to give us a quote, which was fantastic. The two installers showed up on time and did an excellent job. They were efficient, professional, kept the work area clean, and the finished product looks fabulous. If we had to have another window replaced we would not hesitate to call Pelican again.

Pelican Windows did a great job on my project! The whole process went smoothly. Evan was our sales rep. He was personable, professional, knowledgable, honest, and not at all pushy. Installation day went like clockwork. The installers - Steven, George, and Victor - arrived as scheduled and were courteous, considerate, neat, and proficient. They patiently and respectfully listened to a couple of special requests we had and followed through with a smile. Evan stopped by in the morning to make sure things were going well which I really appreciated and at the end of the day Steven made sure we knew about a screen they plan to replace, offered to help move the furniture back, and got our alarm system back in operation. I couldn't have asked for a better experience - and I've been in the construction business for 45 years myself and seen the gamut.

The installation team was professional, courteous, well organized, punctual, and tidy. The job took two days including take down and reinstallation of all window treatments. They are a professional outfit from the top down.

They were prompt, no pressure, straightforward and emailed me an estimate very quickly. I got one other estimate and, although both companies were very good, Pelican was significantly lower price for a comparable product. Windows were ready sooner than they originally said, they scheduled the service, showed up on time, did the work and left up with really nice new windows. Easy, good price, quality work. I appreciate that given how busy my life is- no hassle and we are very pleased. I would definitely recommend them.

I have a very old home, so many contractors have issues overcoming problems a house this old have. Could not have asked for better. In and out in 5 hrs. Excellent attention to detail. I had 4 bids for the job. They were 20% below everyone else for the same windows so I was a little concerned. What made me select them is I also have 3 very large windows that form a wall and I had concerns regarding the retro fit fitting into the area without much modification. The salesperson recommended I go with a different company using a completely different set up that would address the problems where as all the other bids said they could do it using the same retro fit. I knew the job could not be done without changing the looks of the house completely. Pelican was also willing to work around other construction that I have going on that I am not as pleased with. The crew that came out were great. They ran into one problem but after sitting down for a few minutes we came up with a solution that worked out well. This has got to be one of the best investments I have done on my home. I have no problems writing up a company that does not live up to my expectations but at the same time I want to let others know when a company exceeds my expectations. And I deal with contractors all the time in my work life. I honestly do not believe you will go wrong we these people.

When I called their office, the woman who answered was very helpful and within minutes scheduled an appointment for a rep to come to my home and assess our needs. The estimator arrived on time, was most helpful and referred me to another company better to suited to meet my needs.

My kitchen window cracked one day from the heat of an adjacent barbecue. Needing a replacement and wanting to get an estimate to replace all the windows in my home, I signed on to Angie's List to find a provider. Pelican was highly recommended so I gave them a call and was very pleased at the response. Tim, the owner, showed up at my house and was very easy to work with and very professional. He gave me a bid on each of the windows in my house and didn't pressure me to do them all at once. I decided to only replace my kitchen window initially. Pelican scheduled install for two weeks later. The installers showed up on-time and did a great job replacing the window. I could not have been happier with the whole experience. I will be using Pelican to replace all of the windows in my house.

We scheduled an appt. for a bid. They came out , measured and discussed with us our options for installing the different kind of windows. They did not pressure us or try to upsell us and were very knowledgable.We obtained a couple of other bids and decided to use Pelican. They were cheaper and could complete the job at an earlier date. They called us when the windows were ready to be installed and scheduled the install. When they came, they quietly went about their business and, cleaned up after their work .

I asked Pelican to bid on window replacement but I did not use them. They responded to my request promptly. The representative was helpful and had useful advice, but they only offered retrofit replacement windows and I wanted "new construction" in at least one place. Even though it was clear that they did not have what I wanted, the representative was still polite and provided pricing information for what they did offer. If I had understood that they only offered retrofit, I would not have requested a bid.

The manager at Pelican Windows & Remodeling who came out was very genuine, very no nonsense. I liked him.

Pelican did an excellent job. It was the most efficient glass I found anywhere. They were very professional and did a great job. I recommend them to anybody. I've actually heard that they are the most expensive. I did get four different bids and they were not the most expensive even though I was told that they would be. I'm a contractor so I deal with subs all the time and I have never dealt with him before but I will deal with him again if it comes up. These guys are worth it.

We needed a new sliding glass door, and nobody (and I mean nobody) came close to matching Pelicans great pricing and incredible level of service. You'll never find a more honest company or better quality of craftsmanship than at Pelican Windows and Remodeling.

Absolutely first rate experience. My wife and I are remodeling our home. This is the first time we have ever had replacement windows installed. This kind of expense is a big deal to us. We tried to find a reasonably good quality of window without breaking the bank.. To that end we visited showrooms around town, and considered all the available brands, from Anderson on down. Eventually we selected Milguard vinyl windows. We then visited three showrooms, and Lowe's. We got four bids, including Lowe's, US Windows, Newman's, and Pelican Windows. We went with Pelican because the owner, Tim Skeer, did two things. He gave us the best price, among other things by telling us up front we could qualify for a discount with him by belonging to Angie's List. One other of the companies offers the Angie's List discount, but chose not to tell us about it. Second, he was the only one of four bidders who visited our home who recognized that color could be an issue in our community, which has CC&R's. Because he raised the issue, we changed the color we ordered, and immediately went thru the procedure to get our color approved. This might have saved us a tremendous hassle, (like, if we had bought one color, then could not get permission to use it by the HOA). The installation and the installers were first rate. All the windows were put in neatly. They work perfectly. The crew cleaned up after themselves. One thing that really got my attention, and made this such a good experience, was the crew, especially "Tito", whose last name I do not know, did not try to cut any corners. In fact, Tito moved our patio light fixture off the wall because it was too close to the patio door, and moved it to another location. Then, he installed a new patio light we had in a box, including restacking the holes made when moving the light. All this was without charging us anything extra!. I told Mr. Skeer that I was willing to pay for the extra work for the light, and he refused to accept the money. Yowee. So, I got great service, courtesy, and an installation with free extra work, from the low bidder. Couldn't ask for more. I have a caution for those just starting out looking for someone to install windows. One of the installers I did not select offered a "low price guarantee". That is, he would match anyone else's lower price. I personally do not like to do business this way, especially after I told all the bidders that I wanted the best bid, and I would go with that. It seems to me a little shaky to try to get more than your best bid, then only lower your bid once you know what the competition was doing.

I am very happy with the work, the staff performed in a professional manner. As they performed the service they were respectful of my property. They took time to answer questions and communicated to me during the process. I wish all service providers delivered on promises made as well as the Pelican people did.
