I sought three bids, and managed to get two within a week. Saul was substantially less expensive so I chose him. Saul came each day with a single worker. They arrived early in the morning and disrupted me as little as they could. Each night I found not only the work that they had completed but that they cleaned up as they completed each area which made it easier to live in the space while they were working. They were responsive to requests, adding baseboards and a door frame as the job progressed and negotiated fair prices for the additional work.

The quality of the work is very good, they were responsive to our pointing out areas of concern. The guys were timely, respectful and professional. A couple of details were missed, like not removing the air return vent to paint behind it, we asked them to do so and they did, but forgot to paint the grill. A few switch covers were not replaced and I can't find a couple others. That is partly my fault because Saul asked me to inspect the house before being paid and I missed these, he would have done what was necessary to finish. I would contract with him again.

Working with Saul was very easy. He shows up when he says he will, and does what he says he'll do. His bid was the lowest and a very good price for both the quality of the work, and the paint used. I don't usually go with the lowest bidder but we are painting the house to sell so I thought, why not? His crew did such a good job I'd be entirely happy if I was having the house painted for myself! Any issues were minor and were resolved promptly by Saul himself, something I really appreciate. He is obviously very serious about building his business and it shows in his professionalism and quality of work. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others. My neighbors have already asked me for his details.

I evaluated four painting companies listed for my area on Angie's List and Saul was competetive on price with another bidder. Based on the recent reviews on this site I decided to go with Saul and had a great experience. Saul assisted with the selection of HOA approved colors and walked the property to discuss all areas of trim, fascia, popouts. etc. His crew then powerwashed, prepped, painted, and cleaned up over a period of 4 1/2 days. During the process the crew made sure I inspected areas that were completed and check for any areas of concern. They did a complete job of cleanup. I would highly recommend Saul for your painting job.

From the bid through the completion of the work, Saul and his crew were very professional, prompt and their work is excellent. The place looks brand new. I would hire Saul again in a minute and will strongly recommend him to all my friends and family.

Saul and his team are great painters. They cleaned the rooms both pre and post painting. You could hardly tell three men were here painting for several days. They provided recommendations for colors. They were on time each day and worked very hard to complete the painting contracted for.

Excellent all around! Saul painted everything even added a laundry room that I was going to skip at no extra charge! In the middle of the job I asked him about mudding some new dry wall I had installed and he did it very reasonably, with no delay! I will certainly recommend and hire Saul again!

We hired Saul and his team to texture and paint after a complete electrical rewire of our 1000 sq feet home built in 1960. They applied layers of mud to smooth over drywall patches, old hand trowel texture, and high sections in the walls. There were areas of new drywall and old plaster that were made seamless with the new texture. He provided options for the texture (hand trowel and orange peel) and for the paint finishing (paint grade, caulking, finishing of door frames and windows, and if we wanted him to remove door hardware completely or tape off). He updated us frequently with progress and called when issues came up or when decisions had to be made. The team was friendly and cleaned up after themselves. Work was completed well within the quoted timeframe. Overall we are happy with Saul's work and would recommend him to any Angie's list member.

I can't say enough good about Saul and his crew. He did an excellent job, was punctual and professional and a pleasure to work with. He made repairs to some of the siding/trim that appear flawless. He is very meticulous. He was not the lowest bid, but I knew he would do much more than slap on a coat of paint. Will definitely use him again.

Saul provides a great service. He was on budget and within given timeframe for the job. The quality of the piant used was excellent. He covered all the details requested and patched a drywall hole we had. His work was clean and neat. I would definitely recommend Saul!!

USED VERY GOOD PAINT AND IT WENT GREAT! SAUL AND CREW VERY PROFESSIONAL AND NICE. THE WORK IS SO PROFESSIONAL, NO DRIPS NO STAINS NO MESS!!! THE CEILINGS LOOK WONDERFUL AFTER THEY SCRAPED ALL THE POPCORN OFF THE CEILINGS THEN THEY TEXTURED THE CEILINGS THEN PAINTED THEY ARE SO GREAT! THEY ALSO PAINTED CEILINGS IN FIVE ROOMS AND PAINTED THE WALLS AND CLOSETS IN ALL FIVE ROOMS. WE WILL BE HAVING SAUL DO SOME MORE PAINTING FOR US HERE SHORTLY. Saul did a great job of the exterior painting of our home. The quality of the work was really impressive. I had four companies come out and bid for the job, two of them came with the same bid of $2300, Saul and the other both came in a lot higher, over $3000. I got the best feel from Saul, he really seemed to know his stuff and seemed very thorough but his bid was around 40% higher than the other two vendors I was considering. I asked him if he would match that bid, he couldn't, but did come down substantially to $2600. I felt that he would be worth the extra $300 and signed him up. Why did I go with a B overall grade? With only two of them working (one day there was only one worker), it did take a while to complete the job, 6 working days in total. The C I gave for price shouldn't be seen as a detriment, C is average after all, and his final price was around 10% higher than the two lower bids. I would use Saul again, the quality of his work was worth the minor drawbacks. His crew was very thorough, they patched stucco and filled some of the wood that was damaged and the house looks great.

I was very pleased with this provider. They did a very good job painting my house, they were on time and I got a very good price.

GREAT! They provided an excellent paint job on the entire house. They cleaned up after each day and when the job was finished. Also, they had us do a walk-a-round when job was complete for us to point out anything that wasn't satisfactory.. Needless to say, the house was perfect. Excellent job!

They did excellent, very professional, prompt and did exactly what I requested. Colors were what I wanted and at a reasonable price.

I needed drywall and painting done in a rental town home. I should have known that responsiveness was going to be a problem when he didn't respond to my initial e-mail sent to him thru Angie's List. I had to call him. He couldn't come by to give me an estimate until 4 days later, TUESDAY 11/25. This is pressuring my time line. Par for the course, I had to coordinate with the tenant. Saul was a NO SHOW. He calls me back and tells me his understanding was the appointment was for the next night. OK....I thought I got the day of the week wrong and I rescheduled him for Wednesday night at 5:30 PM. Another round of sceduling with the tenant. Saul's a NO SHOW AGAIN. Despite two phone calls to get his ETA he doesn't call me until 6:10 PM saying he's only 5 minutes away! Wants to know if I can go back and meet him there. I say NO WAY. He's already put me behind on the project. If this is the reliability BEFORE he gets the job one can only wonder how reliable he'll be later. Too bad for him. The neighbor next door wanted me to send him over to give an estimate on another job. Oh Well. This is why we are on Angie's List.

Saul did a great job! He did very high quality work, and he had a strong work ethic. He took extra time to put a second coat of clear coat on my stained door. He was also very friendly and courteous. I would definitely hire him again!

Prepared, primed, sealed/caulked, and painted exterior and interior (select rooms). Included all costs, including a mid-grade name brand paint. Prepared, caulked, primed (2 coats), sealed, and painted (1 coat) 20 year old builders kitchen cabinets. Went from white washed oak to white painted, including interiors. Used a very high grade, cabinet specific paint which produced an excellent, hard finish. If new installed cabinets are the "10" standard on 1-10, these were about a "8". Not quite as good as a fresh install, but given what Saul was working with, it was a huge upgrade to the existing cabinets. We reduced our costs a bit by taking responsibility of removing and reinstalling the doors, and doing a bit of the preparation work on doors and cabinet exteriors. Saul on the other hand, ended up spending an extra day (3 guys), sanding, caulking, and filling defects in the interiors of the cabinets, making those pressed board interiors look almost as good as custom cabinets, and was very reasonable in assessing additional costs. I dinged him a bit on the "quality" (B) rating, but I'm a very particular person when it comes to work by tradesmen. Saul was extremely cooperative, and readily resolved any issues raised. However, some of his employees or sub's were less exacting than Saul. The fact that I had to raise the issues at all automatically moves my "quality" grade from "A" to "B". Saul's scope of work expanded 3x, i.e. we increased our budget and gave him twice the work originally contracted for, because he was "that good". We also gave him headaches, i.e. the HOA retroactively disapproved of our paint colors the day his crew arrived to work, and we had to scramble to move dates around to keep his guys going, and still get the job done on schedule. All in all, I'd call Saul for painting work again (and well might - we're still remodeling) before anyone else. He's priced competitively, is detail orientated in his own work, and bends over backwards to please his customers.

Saul and his team of 2 guys were amazing. They were friendly, clean, professional and detailed. They take pride in doing a great job and they cleaned up everyday including vacuuming! They were in my house for 8 days, all day long and worked on Saturdays to make sure they were done in the most timely manner. They weren't fitting me in with their other jobs but stayed on the job completely from beginning to end. They were flexible and offered their professional opinion when they felt it was warranted. They constantly followed up with us to make sure their work was exceptional. I can't say enough about Saul Ortiz Painting. Simply fantastic.

Saul and his team arrived on time, prepared rooms, and cleaned up after their work each day. We are pleased with the finished product.

II hired Saul to paint the entire interior of my condo this included ceilings, walls, woodwork, doors, and to removed the popcorn and re-textured the ceilings. I found Saul to be outstanding in the management and completion of my project. Saul walked through the condo on day one to make sure we were clear on all the work to be accomplished. Saul and his crew worked hard, even in record breaking heat. They were courteous and professional, and did an outstanding job. Saul was onsite everyday to ensure a timely completion and working with his crew. I would not even consider another painter after my experience with Saul. They are my go to painters, and I have already recommended them to a neighbor.

Super impressed with entire project. Saul came out the same day I contacted him and I had an estimate by the end of the day. We were in a hurry to get things started and he was able to start work within the week. He was very meticulous about the work and I didn't see a drop of paint anywhere it wasn't supposed to be when the work was complete. Clean paint lines and attention to detail. I wouldn't hesitate to use Saul again in the future. The pricing seemed fair, it took two full days to complete the work (a lot of prep work and taping involved)

Saul was the first of three contractors to actually visit me on site and the first to provide a quote. He was also about 2/3 the price of what the other guys wanted to charge. So I picked him. The guy he sent (Ricky) did a phenomenal job. He required no supervision, worked all on his own for multiple days. In the end, we had four beautiful rooms and a former hole that was now patched with matching texture. I can't say enough good things about these guys.

The difficulty of the job was higher than usual as each room had cabinets and doors to prep and paint. Saul and his crew were professional, polite, and this resulted in excellent results. Saul carefully confirmed our color choices before starting each area to paint.Saul also encouraged us to mark any problem areas after they were painted to be corrected. There were few and they were promptly fixed. The only suggestion I have (and graded a B instead of an A for this) is if you move all of your furniture (bedroom and kitchen in my case) and they are due the next day to paint, both times, they did not show up that day as expected. When I contacted Saul, his response is "we will finish within the agreed 2 weeks". This resulted in an extra day in each case that we could not use our bedroom or kitchen. Even with that minor problem, the price and overall quality of the painting was top notch. I will use Saul Quality painting again.
