They were late, but they kept me informed of their schedule that day, and when they got here they were professional and tidy. They left the living room as clean as they found it, answered a few questions about the fireplace, and cleaned the chimney.

I need to have a chimney cap installed, called to schedule an appointment for installation and chimney swept. Was given an estimate on the phone. The appointment was made within the week. The owner/techician arrived and provided the service in spite of the rain. Prompt and very courteous, answered all of my questions. Would highly recommend this service.

Could not ask for better experience. Thom is a great guy, very professional and pleasant. He arrived on time on 2 different occasions and worked very efficiently and was very much clean which was important as the house was just painted and carpet shampooed. The last time we used our gas fireplace, it seemed to be giving off a chemically smell when we lit it and we wanted to have it inspected and cleaned. When I initially called Thomas, he said that he could inspect, clean and install new logs for my gas fireplace. He said he sold ceramic gas fireplace logs for $300-$450 depending on size or that I could purchase a cement set at a local big box store for less. He did not pressure me in any way and gave me tips on how to measure my fireplace and what size logs to buy. I really appreciated his helpfulness. I made an appointment with him for a few days later. On the day of the appointment, he called to ask if he could come earlier than the appointment time as his earlier job was already done, which was fine with me. He inspected the fireplace and said that the smell was from a buildup of carbon from burning the gas and said that a good cleaning would clear up the problem. He then cleaned the fireplace, replaced the gas line and installed a new log set that I had purchased. He also recommended a gas carbon remover that can be sprayed on the logs to remove future buildup and said that I could get it online or at a fireplace store. He was very professional and I feel that the price was a bargain. I highly recommend him.

service took place in 2 visits a week apart which was fine with us. Thomas communicated arrival time before both visits. Thomas was very nice and he knew his business. On the first visit, he cleaned, swept the chimney and painted the inside box. He returned a week later and had the new burner, log holder and logs in hand. He put in a smaller unit than we originally had because the other was too big and sat too close to the opening of the hearth. Now we have a smaller log set that is the appropriate size and looks fantastic with the sand and glowing embers underneath the logs. Thomas did a great job and left no mess! We recently had our fireplace redone with stacked slate tiles and the opening tiled with light colored ceramic tiles. It is now complete. They came and used big brushes for cleaning and then vaccumed the soot buildup.

I am passing this on 2nd hand from my tenant in CA. I live in Seattle and rent a home in Calif. This is what the tenant reported to me..."he did a great job, quick, thorough and very good." She was very pleased at the professionalism. This is also one of the vendors my rental management company uses for their other rentals. I got the company's name off of Angie's List and passed it on to my rental mgt. company, only to find out they already use them. The cost of $139 is a discount cost. I'm told it is normally up in the $160's.

We bought our house two years ago and began having water leaks from the roof and windows that are next to the chimney. We had roof repairs and new windows installed to try to fix the problem. This October during our first heavy rain we noticed some water coming in through the chimney. We became members of Angies List and began our search for chimeny repair companies in our area. The first two companies we tried were more of a masonary company than chimney repair/ inspectors. We finally came across Chim Chiminey Sweep and explained our problem. We were able to set be up with an inspection with Tom for the next business day. Tom was prompt and got right to business inspecting our chimney. He was informative and able to answer our new home owner questions. Siince we were unable to see the top of our chimney Tom took pictures and showed us the condition of our chimney top and the possible problems. After going over our options we ended up needing a collar around the chimney cap and we decided to have the gas line capped until we decide when, if ever, to replace the burner. We have had some rain the past month but we have not noticed anymore water coming in. We will be using Chim Chiminey Sweep for any chiminey services in the future because we know that Tom will get us prompt reliable service without any unnecessary expenses.

Arrived on time, performed work promptly. Advised us that we didn't need to clean the second chimney as it was not used enough yet. Installed the spark arrester screen that another service said they could not do. We were very pleased with the professional and prompt service.

I'm not so sure they did a great job. They were not very professional. They cleaned everything up, but I'm not so sure they did a great job with my dryer. They said once they cleaned it up the drier will not get warm on the top, but it still does. I think what they told me was nonsense. I don't remember what they had charged me, and I felt a little scammed by them. I just did not have a great feeling about how good a job they did. I was not impressed by them. I have nothing to compare their prices with. Their price was high for the amount of labor actually done.

I have 2 fire places, which have been left unused for years. He came and cleaned the fire place and chimney. He also re-painted the same and replaced the gas with ceramic walls. He also put in new fixtures and logs. He charged me reasonably for the services rendered. I liked his services and will use the same in future.

I wanted nothing less than a certified chimney sweep to check my fireplace, which hadn't been used in many years. Although the appointment was set for an earlier date, I received a phone call on that day to explain that heavy scheduling kept them from keeping the appointment, so we rescheduled. Glenn called on the day of the new appointment to advise me that the job he was on was taking longer than expected, but that he would come if I still wanted him to, or that I could reschedule again if I preferred. Since I wasn't rushed to do anything else that day, I told him to take his time and to have lunch before coming. When the men arrived they introduced themselves and went straight to work. I was impressed by how efficient they were. Glenn assured me that although I had used the fireplace to burn wood, the flue was clean and wouldn't need sweeping. Within no time at all they had completed everything which needed to be done and my home was left tidy. I appreciated their good manners and professionalism and would not hesitate to recommend this business to anyone in need of this service.

The experience went great. The company uses a huge vacuum that is vented to the outside that prevents any debris to come into the house. Because the cleaning is done from the bottom up, there is no risk of damage to the roof. The guys from Chim Chiminey were very polite and professional. The finished fireplace with black box and gas log is beautiful. I am happy that I contacted Chim Chiminey.

As promised; much reduction in perceived odors; checked top of chimney to see if properly capped, removed all fireplace residue and applied cleaning solution inside firebox. No mess, cleaned up nicely and explained what doing.
