Josh came out and gave a fair estimate. He also managed to work us into the schedule very quickly as we were moving into the house. The painting was well done and the painter kept everything very clean. They also hauled way the mirrored closet doors that we were not going to put back up. I was very pleased with the level of service and the performance.

Crew arrived on time each day. Crews were polite and kept me updated on the progress each day. At the end of the job cleaned up the area before leaving. Job encompassed 3 days. I was having difficulty choosing colors for the exterior so Josh made a special trip to go over the choices. Now that the job is done I am very happy with the colors.

They did a really nice job with the painting. It's been a year now and it still looks great. I anticipated it's gonna last a long time. They were really fast and did a good work. The cleanup was really good. They left everything as clean as it was.

The painters arrived on time the first day but the baseboard guys didn't come until the following day. All-in-all not a well-organized process. It took quite a bit longer than originally estimated and, if they were to come back and fix the issues with the paint job, it would take another half day. The drywall repair was poorly done and the texturing differences are evident in the work they did. I should have hired a separate drywall repair person. There are many areas that were missed or not painted well enough to cover the marks in the underlying wall or door. Many corners were missed and some of the areas that were patched were never painted. There are drip marks on a couple of the door frames. They did try to clean up every day but left paint on the carpeting and hand prints on the walls. Overall, the job was overpriced for what I received and I would not hire them again. I was offered a refund but have not heard back for a week.

The painters did an excellent job and were neat, cleaned up every day, and put sufficient coats on the shutters to prevent early fading. They protected roses and other bushes which were around the entire front of the house where they were painting. Marco did an excellent job of discussing colors, qualities of paint, presenting methodology and whys and wherefores of their procedures. I can only recommend them. The owner, Josh Sacora, was honest and fair in his dealings with me.

I have to say CertaPro was perhaps the most professional contractor I've dealt with! The service began with a consultation with Josh a little over a week before to look over the job and make recommendations. I was pleased that Josh did not try to sell me more work than I needed. He laid out the cleaning and painting process and it unfolded exactly as advertised. We agreed on the details, including a 10% Angie's List discount and the stage was set. As arranged a few days later Achilles arrived to power wash the home. He was courteous and thorough. The following morning Marco, Augustine and Luis arrived to attack the painting exactly at 8AM. They masked windows and anything else at risk of overspray quickly and carefully. I noticed Luis caulking gaps in both the edges of our shutters and between slats in our concrete siding boards. I hadn't even thought of those details so I was pleased to see that they did! By that evening the spraying was complete and careful inspection revealed no overspray and excellent coverage. The next morning the painters began working the trim and detail work in earnest. Marco noted that the shutters in the front were not covered to his liking by the agreed upon two coats so he was going to add another. Since we had the paint and the crew was there for the day there was no extra charge. In fact those shutters took four coats in the end and they look like new now. The job also included painting our electrical box which was chipping badly. When scraping the rest off Marco observed a long-painted-over safety sticker so he carefully masked it off before the repaint. Although we tried to color match that box to the other service boxes adjacent to it we did not quite succeed thus Marco asked if it was OK if he just painted the others to match again at no charge. We naturally agreed. At the end of the day we did the walk-through with Marco since the crew had finished. Again no problems were observed and the crew lived up to the company's boast of no traces remaining from the job after the work was complete. Other than a few blades of painted grass you could not tell a paint crew had been hard at work for two days. My neighbors also noted the well-organized team at work for the two days and many have asked how it went. I suspect that several of them will be contacting Josh over the remainder of the year since we have nothing but glowing praise for the work CertaPro did. We will certainly work with this contractor again as we switch to interior painting updates!

Overall, it was fine. They worked pretty good with our schedule. We used before, so we called them again. I think they are cheaper than the other 2 companies my husband called. I like them because they told us somebody had used the wrong type of paint on certain areas of the house and so we took that and they were right, it worked out much better with whatever they put on there.

I had already interviewed 2 painters, found on Angie?s List, to paint the townhome I?ll be selling. Both were highly rated and deservedly so. I chose CertaPro Painters of Carlsbad because their bid for painting the townhome was $2,000 less. Part of the lower cost was a 10% Angie?s List discount. When I realized that the new place also needed painting, I contacted Josh Sacora, owner of the local CertaPro franchise, and asked him to also do the new condo. In fact, I decided to have the condo done first so that I could move out of the townhome before the work there began. Josh was able to accommodate my change in schedule. The work at the condo is now done, and I want to share with other Angie?s List members why I am giving CertaPro and Josh Sacora an ?A? rating. Communication: From the first contact I made via Angie?s List email, Josh has stayed in constant touch via email and phone. He is a man constantly on the move, yet he is always in touch. If I had a question, I?d email and have a quick reply back. One time we were supposed to meet at the condo and Josh was not there at the appointed time. I had actually begun to worry about him because it was so completely different from all my previous experiences with him. When he finally arrived, I learned he had left me 2 messages updating me on his arrival time; it was my phone that was malfunctioning. I also want to comment on the communication between Josh and his team of painters. I appreciated the respectful way that Josh interacted with the painters, seeking their opinions and including them in the planning. They have a well-organized communication system in which Josh walks (literally) the lead painter through the details of each room as I accompany them, then the lead painter stays in touch with Josh, especially if there are changes that need to be made or just to update him. The lead painter on my job, Marco, and the other 2 painters, Luis and Agostino, clearly worked as a team, easily communicating among themselves to accomplish the work in the most effective way. Nothing was left to chance. Attention to detail: I watched each of the painters as they painted the critical junctures where walls meet a ceiling. They were meticulous and used special tools that ensured quality outcomes. Their attention to detail was also apparent when Marco observed that 2 coats of the white trim paint I had chosen were not completely covering the underlying color. Rather than letting it go and hoping I didn?t notice, Marco sought me out to ask if I would rather have the slight bleeding through or have them apply a third coat of paint, which would add a bit to the cost. He had already checked with Josh and could give me a quote on the additional cost. The crew were also tidy as they painted, protecting all the surfaces, and thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day. Courtesy and Safety. It may seem odd to group ?courtesy? and ?safety? together. However, I suspect that other single women over 60 and living alone will understand why I do so. I have so many friends and neighbors who fit this profile and have home projects they would like to have someone do for them (e.g., hang a chandelier, put together a bookcase, install a new sink, paint the bathroom) but they are afraid to let a stranger into their home. Josh, Marco, Luis, and Agostino were totally professional and always courteous to me. Josh has strict behavior standards for his employees, such as no smoking on the job, and no cell phones or texting during work, except related to the job. They all arrived in company shirts and drove company trucks. Josh had told me the name of the lead painter, Marco, before he arrived. Everything was done to help me feel secure and safe. Also, when I asked one of them for advice, they readily gave it, taking the time to also educate me. I could tell that they not only cared about the quality of their work but they wanted me to be happy with it and happy in my new home. These are good human beings as well as good painters. Expertise. I had pointed out to Josh the cracks that the inspector had identified in the kitchen and master bedroom ceilings. Josh then went from room to room studying the ceilings. He pointed out to me the faintly visible lines every 4 feet of ceiling where the gaps between drywall sheets had not been taped or textured. He and Marco discussed options with me, from leaving the ceilings as they were (there were not cracks showing) to sealing the gaps and repainting the ceilings. They presented the options in a straightforward manner, with no pressure to choose one option over another. Everything in my dealings with Josh and the members of his painting crew (he has other crews) was to let me benefit from their experience but the final decision was always mine. My sister was visiting the day the painting was finished, and she echoed my sentiments by pronouncing the completed project ?beautiful.? I feel very fortunate to have found Josh Sacora and CertaPro Painters of Carlsbad and look forward to their painting my townhome prior to putting it on the market.

CertaPro was one of three companies I screened for quotes. They were working on a property down the street, so I asked for a quote. The price was very competitive.They assisted in choosing the color scheme. I was impressed with the quality of the preparation including the filling of cracks in the stucco. The painting was done expertly. They did a good job in cleaning up.

This is the second time I used Josh. He and his crew are excellent. Reasonably priced, very professional and thorough. We are very happy with their work. DB

Josh from Certa pro came to the house and explained what would be needed it completely cover the oak closet door. The finish had to be covered with a special primer. The area had to be taped off and the inside of the closet sealed to protect shelves from paint. The color of the walls had to be matched. He gave me the price of $150 which was about $50 less than a competitor. He also said the work would be complete before Thanksgiving. I could not be happier with the careful work that was done. The gentleman who did the work was extremely neat and kept the area clean. The door is a perfect match to the wall and was exactly what I had envisioned. It looks great, was reasonably priced, completed on time and I am very satisfied.

From start to finish, the process was seamless. The site review was detailed, the quote followed promptly, the project was scheduled quickly and the work was performed within our time frame. Additionally, Josh Sacora our key contact, followed up with us to insure our satisfaction.

It went very well indeed. The qualify and professionalism of the paint job completely change the character of the home from one in disrepair to one with ample curb appeal.

I had to get six estimates because about four companies dropped out as they didn’t know how to work around my patio cover. Everybody was within $200-$300 range of each other, so everybody was right there. They were right there with everybody else that I had come in to check it out. They were very good. They were on time, and everything went well. I was satisfied. Right on the last day of inspection, they walked the house with me and had me look at it; I kept saying do I see something and we kept going around the house until I could see nothing wrong and then we were done. They weren't going to leave until I was satisfied. It was an excellent experience. I thought that the quality of their work was great because everybody who comes by my house says that I have the best looking house in the neighborhood. With regard to responsiveness, they were on top of it. Those companies that I got back in that time, I got them through another company.

Josh Sacora the owner/manager and Marco the lead painter were very prompt, responsive and professional. Because of a conflict with another contractor I had the delay the start of the painting by one day. Josh was cooperative about the change and was willing to add another painter to the project to allow the painting to be completed as originally scheduled. The painters showed up on time and provided periodic updates each day as I was not able to remain onsite. Before beginning the painting the crew made several drywall repairs to patch holes in the master bedroom closet where the building installed wire shelf had been removed and cuts in the wall made by the home theater installer when running wiring for in-wall and outdoor speakers. The drywall patches are invisible with a perfect texture match. The quality of the painting was excellent with clean lines at all of the wall to ceiling transitions. During the walk through at the completion of the job I only found a few minor areas that required touchup which March corrected immediately.

Estimator was good, they did a good job including a few last minute add ons. I was diappointed that there were 2 areas in need of special scrapping, prep and painting and I pointed these out at the initial visit. Before the job was done I had to point them out again, they did finally do it right and did not leave until I was satisfied. Otherwise I was very impressed they kept the job site clean were on time and did a good job

Josh and his crew were responsive to my requests, did a good job , and touched up areas I identified prior to final approval and payment. I obtained several bids from several firms and Josh agreed to come close to matching the best estimate I had received. Also, because I used my Costco professional membership to schedule the services and my Costco American Express credit card for payment, I received combined rebates of 3.5%, which made the cost quite competitive. I recommend their services highly. It was important that I read the proposal and contract carefully, requested necessary or preferred changes, and ensured that everything agreed to was written in the contract. My wife and I are quite satisfied with the painting results and will likely request this firm's services in the future. They were pleasant to work with, professional, willing to work with us. They arrived on time each workday and worked efficiently. In the future we will ask Josh and his crew for help with future painting jobs. They helped us during an extremely stressful and hectic time and seemed intent on making certain that we were well satisfied with their work.

Overall, the job went extremely well. I met with Josh from CertaPro to get an estimate. His quote was not the cheapest, but I was comfortable working with him and his attitude of doing a quality job. Once I committed to the job, he gave some valuable input as to colors to use and provided free samples of paint to test on our house. His crew of Alfonso, Luis, and Angel arrived punctually on a Monday and powerwashed the entire house, patio cover and wall, and fence. They were done in about 3 hours. They had a prior commitment on Tuesday, so did come back until Wednesday. They began all the preparation of surfaces to be painted, which included stucco repair, caulking, sanding, and priming. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday they did all of the painting. They were always punctual and performed their jobs in a professional manner. They were also very friendly and easy to work with. If I saw an area that I wanted touched up, they were always very accommodating. When they cleaned up on Saturday, they left the area cleaner than what they found when they got first got there. I was very pleased that they had pride in their work and were extremely customer-oriented. As I mentioned earlier, their price was not the cheapest, but I felt that I got good value for the money. I would certainly recommend them to others.

Submitted a request for an estimate through angie's. Received a courteous reply by email 5/3. Replied same day with all necessary info, asked them to visit the site anytime and provide your estimate. Received the SAME email again on 5/11. Responded 5/11 phone and email, indicating time was down to the wire, we'd signed a contract elsewhere and had 3 days to cancel, call ASAP if interested in competing bid. No evidence they read or listened to msgs, as received the SAME email again... the ship has sailed.

It looked excellent. They went up and beyond what they said the would do. I highly recommend them. My neighbors have used them as well. I will use them again. It is very high quality at a good price. He is very responsive and man of his word.
