The appointment was schedule from 3:00P - 7:00P. Chris showed up about 10 minutes early. I introduced my self to him, opened the door and immediately he went to work. I noticed that while he was inspecting the house he was taking a lot of pictures and recording notes on each picture. He conducted his inspection and then he came back and showed me all the things that were wrong with the house. Within 24 hours I received his report via email. The report included a lot of clear pictures with a detail description of the of the content of the picture. The clarity of the pictures and the detailed descriptions help us get a BIG credit from the seller. Thanks Chris.

He informed us of problems and type of person needed to fix the problems. His report is accurate and congruant with the explinations he gave during the inspection.

It took about three to four hours but Chris Lowe was very thorough and gave a good home inspection.

When I arrived, Chris was already at the house looking around the outside. He came over and asked if I had any questions about the inspection. I told him I had a list of things I wanted him to really dig into, he said that it wasn't a problem, and so we went over my list. He then went over his plan to inspect the house, and said that I could follow him around and ask questions if I wanted. Chris went through every room in the house, into the garage, into the attic, and up onto the roof. He took lots of pictures, which he went over with us at the end of his inspection, and they were also in his report. He was very thorough, and any time he found something he explained why it could be an issue. He also had to deal with the sellers RE agent, who was pretty horrible, but he took it in stride and just kept on going. At the end of the inspection he spent about 30 minutes with us, going around the property and pointing out specific issues we would want to take care of and why. He also said that we could call any time if we had any questions. I've called him twice since then, once a few weeks after, and just a few days ago, almost a month after the inspection. He was very happy to answer my questions both times, and never made me feel like he was rushing me off the phone. I feel Chris did an excellent job in inspecting the home. His experience and expertise really shows, and he was a pleasure to deal with.

Very well-done inspection with attention to items that are now code that may not have been at time of the home building. He attempting to get to all locations and find items that need correction. It was thourough and I appreciated his use of the laptop to show pictures while debriefing at the house. Then, the report followed the next morning. Scheduling was very convenient and he seemed experienced in the field. Very personable and explained items in detail where needed and had a sense of urgency since it takes several hours.

Chris showed up on time, worked diligently, spent 4+ hours and did a thorough, professional review. He was happy to give advice; noted that his job was to be "picky," but he wasn't ever unreasonable. He was very open and responsive to questions. The seller of the house ended up doing multiple repairs that were recommended in Chris' report.

Overall, the inspection went well and smoothly. Had originally scheduled another inspector but they called the night before to canx. Called Imperial the morning of Good Friday and was able to have the inspection done that same day which was very important to us since I wanted to have the report to read over the weekend because of a tight escrow period. Chris was on time and proceeded with the inspection accordingly. He took his time and when he was finished he sat down with us to discuss the highlights of the inspection in a patient and professional manner. Showed us the pictures he took on his computer and we even went back to certain parts of the townhouse to take a closer look. I felt like he was well mannered and easy going and easy to talk with. We never felt rushed and I sensed he was willing to stay as long as we needed him to.

Chris Lowe of Imperial is extremely thorough, exactly what you want from a home inspection! We used him for our pre-purchase inspection for our home purchase. He took about 3 hours to complete the inspection and made the realtors angry because they didn't want to wait. It was fabulous how he didn't let them pressure him or rattle him, he virtually ignored them (but managed to do so politely, the man has a gift!). His report was very complete and easy to understand. And, after we purchased our home, when the roof started leaking (yes, he had warned us of that in his report) we contacted him for advice on a roofer, which he gladly offered. He also did the home inspection when my mother purchased her condo, again, did a very thorough job and took his time to test out everything. He even said he would come back if we wanted him to check how the air conditioning functioned (I believe it was unseasonably cold and he wouldn't really be able to check if the A/C unit responded properly to outside temperature). He's done wonderful work for us twice and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Chris Lowe was a great inspector. Was 20 minutes late because of traffic, but spent over 4 hours (well into the evening) inspecting a short sale property. Gave us a detailed verbal report as well as a written report with pictures. Did lots of calling around and his $400 fee was competitive. Would use again!
