Thorough!!! Our realtor told us it would never take the 3 hours he quoted us over the phone--but it did and I was glad! His report noted everything that might be an issue for us now and in the future. He went over the report with us in detail before he left for the day. Nothing was glossed over and he answered every question. Never made us feel that we were wasting his time--which I have often felt in the past with different contractors. Made me feel SOOO much better about the 1950 house we were purchasing to live in--not that there were not condition issues, but that I knew what they were!

Chris Lowe with Imperial Home Inspection was fantastic. He showed up on time, and did an overly thorough inspection. He stayed longer than he needed to, explaining things in non-technical language when he got the sense that my partner and I didn't quite understand something. Because this was an older home and because there was obvious damage to the inflicted by a former tenant, we decided to have the house professionally inspected prior to starting the repair work. Chris was awesome! He arrived on time, was very professional and thorough. He inspected inside the house, the entire crawl space, the perimeter and roof. He provided verbal feedback as he worked, addressed each of our questions and concerns and, within a day, followed up with a comprehensive and detailed report of his findings. He was a delight to work with and we'd hire him again in a heartbeat.

Chris provided the best home inspection experience we could have hoped for. He was right on time, very polite and described the process before he got started. My wife and I waited at the property while he spent nearly four hours inspecting it. Every so often he provided us with an update of what he had found so far and it was nice to be kept in the loop. At the end of the on-site inspection he showed us all the pictures he had taken and described exactly what he'd found. He provided very sound context for all of his findings, described the kind of follow-up inspections that he would suggest to further investigate some of the items he'd noticed, and answered all of our questions. The written report was turned around in less than a day and we were very happy with the result. It's clear that Chris takes a lot of pride in his work and is concerned with providing the best outcome for potential homebuyers. A-plus!

Chris was very thorough and had a lot of findings and recommendations. He is very organized, systematic, observant, and picky. He helped explain which findings needed to be taken care of right away before the inspection period on the escrow, and which can wait and be fixed after we move in. He is clearly takes pride in his work. His wife Susan is super quick to return calls and emails, to schedule things and Chris himself makes himself available as well. Setting up the appointment was very easy. Susan helped manage all the details, was very easy to get a hold of and was able to get us scheduled in a matter or days. On the day of our appointment Chris was right on time. He was very thorough and really made us feel comfortable with the process and that he would leave and quot;no stone unturnedand quot;. He was very focused and attentive when speaking to us throughout the inspection and he was also very willing to answer any questions we had about things we saw that were not sure about (e.g. rusty areas, wood damage, etc.). He was very open to having us point out things also and was not dismissive of our concerns. He seemed very knowledgeable in all areas. Last but not least, Chris turned around our inspection report in less than 24 hours which we found quite amazing. It was a very, very thorough report with great descriptions to accompany the many pictures. We would definitely recommend Chris and Susan to anyone needing a home inspection.

Chris was prompt and professional. He spent several hours going through the home and found quite a bit that needed to be addressed... but he missed a lot of items which ended up costing us thousands of dollars... and costs are still mounting. Many of the items should have been discovered during the inspection (i.e, the main water shut off valve broken - not functioning). There is a long list that he did not catch or include in his report. We thought we were getting a good value for the $400, but that turns out not to be the case.

Chris is knowledgable, patient and pleasant. He does not mind the endless first time home buyer questions and he spent 4 hours thoroughly inspecting the 1400 sq. ft. home that was built in the 1960's. After the inspection, he took his time to go through all his findings and answered all our questions. He gave us some very good advise and made us feel he really is on our side looking out for our interests. A real professional and a great guy!

Chris arrived on time and was very friendly and knowledgable. He took the time to answer our questions which was very reassuring as this was our first home buying experience. He was extremely thorough took detailed notes. Chris was also very flexible with our schedule and understanding as we were having problems with the sellers turning on the utilities. He was willing to come back to complete the inspection once those were turned on. Overall we were extremely happy with his service; he gave us and honest inspection and explained to us his findings which gave us the confidence to move forward with our purchase. It was also very easy to schedule the appointment and he was very timely in sending us the report. If we ever buy another home in this area we would definitely use him again.

Chris Lowe was professional and I appreciated he was on time (actually 5 mins early) and explained his plan before beginning. In addition, before the inspection his co-worker, Susan, was great in setting up the appointment and provided the contract ahead of time for me to review. Great to see the proactive planning. He was patient with me, even though I I was very familiar with the home layout and have some knowledge of home repair, as I peppered him with random questions. He seemed very knowledgeable and found some smaller items which I didn't notice. In addition, I like the way he provided the summary of the inspection in the report by combing photos with captions and the details. We are first time buyers and throughout the whole home buying process we did quite a bit of research, both on the internet and by watching various and quot;reality showsand quot; on TV. We were nervous and questioned many of the decisions we made. But I think one of the most difficult was which inspector to choose, particularly after watching shows like Holmes Inspection, a truly nightmare inducing horror story of what can go wrong if you have a bad inspector. So after reading all of the reviews and phone call interviews to multiple inspectors, we decided on Chris Lowe at Imperial Home Inspection and we think that it was one of the single best decisions we've made so far, and have had no second thoughts about it at all. Here is some detail about the inspection. The day of the inspection didn't start off great for my wife and I, we ended up being about 10 minutes late for the appointment, which is something that we try to never do, but it happened this day of all days. When we got there Chris was already there with our realtor, and he had already started on the exterior of the house. We walked over to where he was and made our introductions, then Chris asked us if we had any questions for him or any particular areas of concern before he continued with the inspection. We talked with him about a few things that concerned us, then he read the owners disclosure report that we had received a few days earlier. Then he resumed the inspection, I asked him if he minded if I followed him around, he said not at all. As he came across things that were notable, he took a picture or two, made a note into a voice recorder, and entered information into a laptop. Then he took time to explain to me what he saw, what the issue or possible issue was, and answered any questions I had right on the spot. He checked everything, inside and out from the water heater to the AC unit to the heating unit, electrical system, plumbing, and appliances and more, patiently explaining and answering questions the whole time. The house is on a concrete foundation so there was no crawling under it, but I have no doubt that if it was raised he would have. He went up into the attic crawlspace and crawled from end to end, I know this because I went to the top of the ladder and stuck my head inside to see for myself how good (or bad) it looked up there. He even called out any issues he saw while up there, which surprised me because of the tight space and the fact that he was wearing a respirator. He also went up onto the roof to check it out (it was one of our extra concerns given the age of the roof). The reason that I'm making a special note about him getting on the roof is because it is a two story house and the roof has a very steep pitch so I thought that he might just do what I've read that a number of inspectors do and just look at it from the top of the ladder or worse from the ground, but he went all the way up onto it and took many pictures for us. After he was finished with the inspection he loaded the pictures onto his laptop and went over everything again with my wife and our realtor, going picture by picture and explaining everything to us again, because I was the only one that followed him around the whole time, they took breaks so didn't see everything the first time. When he was done we paid him which was a simple process because he has a credit card reader that attaches to his phone. When all was said and done we were surprised to see that four hours had passed, he really took his time and we never felt that he rushed at any point. We thanked him and he said that we would receive the report via email the next day, and he was true to his word because we did. The report was easy to read and understand and it stated that we should call if we had any questions. There were a few questions that we came up with after having time to think about the things we talked about during the inspection and after reading the report, so we called and left a message with Susan. She told us that if he wasn't in the middle of an inspection he would call us right back, and if he was he would call us as soon as he was available. He got back to us quickly and answered all of our questions with the same kindness and professionalism that he had the previous day. I highly recommend Chris for anybody looking for a great home inspector, I realize that this is a long review, but I just wanted to make sure that the point came across that our experience with him was A+ across the board.

He was fantastic. We have purchased 4 homes and have never had such a complete inspection. He did not leave any stone unturned. The house was built in 1906 and had a great many issues. Chris was extremely thorough. His office sent us the contract ahead of time so that we could review it. He was on time and stayed for about 3.5 hours. The report his submitted was complete and quick. It inlcuded a picture with each property comment to illistrate his point. Overall, excellent.

Chris was very through and pointed out every detail. Then he stayed after to answer my questions and give me further information beyond the scope of his inspection. He was very helpful.

Chris was on time and very professional. He walked us through a very thorough inspection, and even found some termite problems that the pest company had missed. His report was comprehensive with color pictures and explanations we could understand. I would definitely recommend him. Our real estate agent was also impressed and said she would be calling him in the future.

Chris came on time and spent about 4 hours with us going through the home, 1900 sq. ft, built in 1962. I interviewed 3 different inspection companies and did not actually speak to Chris prior to meeting him for the inspection. I spoke with Susan when I called, but she knew all of the answers to my questions and made me feel comfortable in choosing Chris. She also relayed our conversation to Chris because he referenced a couple questions I asked her. Anyway, Chris was great. He is genuinely passionate about his work, and handled our consistent questions and pestering with enthusiasm. Like all the other reviews say, he was very patient, and explained everything we wanted to know. After the inspection he walked through all of the findings with us, and helped us understand the seriousness of all the items he found. The report was written well, included photos and clearly labeled the items that were a hazard vs. recommendations. He spent a lot of time with my husband explaining how the electrical, water heater and HVAC system works, which was great, since this is our first home. He also recommended ways that we can improve the home. For example, he provided some great feedback on how we can improve attic ventilation to save significantly on energy costs (fans and more insulation). This was great because we would not have thought of doing these things without his recommendation (again, first-time home buyer naivety). Overall, I would recommend Chris to anyone needing a home inspection.

First-class experience from start to finish! Prompt, polite and reliable communication at all points of the transaction. I was present at the home inspection and was impressed by the thorough and excellent job. Chris patiently answered all my questions too. The home inspection report was easy to understand, with lots of photos and specific information useful now and in the future. Highly recommended.

Chris showed up on time and ready to perform a Home Inspection. He was professional from the get go with his credentials out and ready. Immediately asked if I had any specific worries or things to check out. He explained his plan of attack for the house and let me know that it was an extensive look at would take a while. Chris spent the next 3+ hours checking in, around, underneath and on top of my home. He explained all his findings clearly and offered to go back over anything at a later date should I have any questions or concerns. My realtor explained that we were in a crunch to get the report to the bank to show our sale was moving forward and he had it to us within 12 hours. Chris is a true professional and his is one card that will stay with me as I move from house to house and I will certainly recommend him to any and all of my family and friends in the future when they are in need of a Home Inspector. Chris was excellent from the scheduling to the follow up. Even his website gives you a link so that you can see some of the work he has done. When scheduling, they gave me all of our options and provided me a breakdown of the costs. They also explained that if the pool has problems, then we should just forgo his pool inspection and get a separate pool inspection. Chris arrived on time and took the time to ask us what our concerns might be. He then explained what he was going to do. We have done this twice before with other inspectors and have never had this. He was happy to have us follow him around and ask questions. Like I said, he checked out everything. Including a crawl space that I could not have fit into and I am a tall, but small woman. He must be a contortionist. Seriously. He was amazing and completely thorough. He took the time to go over things with us and address our every concern. I cannot express my absolute confidence in him and his findings. I know we made the right choice. He reviewed all the findings, sent us a report via email and offered to further go over the report. We are so glad that we got the inspection as there was a LOT of work to be done including plumbing. His service and thorough inspection was top notch. Like I said, we have done this before with other top rated performers on Angies List. He is the best. I honestly believe that he should charge more. He is that good and could save you a bundle. He did for us. Worth the cost and more. He also seemed like an honest and good guy.

Chris was absolutely fantastic and I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. On both houses that I had inspected, Susan and Chris set up appointments on short notice and adapted to last-minute schedule changes. When Chris showed up , it was right on time and he was extremely patient and ready to answer all my first-time buyer questions. He was there for over 4 hours each time, documenting everything with detailed photos and happy to be interrupted with my questions - i even followed him into the crawl space and he patiently pointed out all the details of the foundation. At the end of the inspection, he gave a really good and detailed presentation of all photos and findings and pointed out the most important highlights. I even brought my parents and he kept in good spirits while they interrogated him as well. Chris then responded to follow up questions over email, and sent documentation of obscure building codes to make sure I knew the full story. After my first house fell out of escrow, he helped me with a few questions I had about another house before I even committed to an inspection. What more can I say, I can't imagine having a better physical inspection experience than with Chris.

I view Chris as the type of person who has all the ideal qualities of an excellent home inspector. He is extremely thorough, detailed, knowledgeable and totally dedicated to his job and a high level of quality. Since we have a larger sized home, his price was right in line with other estimates, yet his quality was even greater than we expected. He spent six hours doing the inspection and wrote a report that was over 30 pages long. A home is such a big purchase, it was wonderful knowing we had a perfectionist looking out for our own good so that when we finally made the purchase we truly had a peace of mind about it. Chris is about as professional as they come. We would use him again in a heartbeat.

I suppose, to be complete, I'd give them an A-. First off the actual inspection went great. Chris arrived on time and was very patient as we tried to sort out issues with the real estate agent. He then proceeded to execute the inspection while patiently allowing me to interject and doing a very good job of explaining what it was he was seeing. He checked the kitchen twice, and even had his own rags when plumbing issues suddenly popped up. He seemed very well prepared and well knowledgeable with the ability to relate his findings using different terms. In the end the inspection took over 2 hours for a 2 bedroom 1 bath condo. Very well done. Secondly, what gives them a and quot;-and quot;. When my wife booked them, she was under the impression that they would conduct a mold inspection. They do not. This IS clearly indicated in the contract they email you ahead of time, except they didn't actually email it to me. When I finally saw the contract on the day of the inspection, I could see that no mold inspection would be done, but would have been nice to get the contract ahead of time to see it printed out. Overall very nice experience. Definitely Recommended.
