Description of Work: I had a leak and purchased the roof inspection/repair service advertised on Angie's List. I Spoke with Shawn in December. He stated he was booked till January. He called me on January 13, 2015 saying he would be in the area and could check the problem. I told him I would not be in town. In which he replied he can check the roof without me being there and he would call me to schedule a follow up later in the week. I never received any further communication from him since.

Description of Work: Shane came out in December to give us an estimate on our roof which does have a couple of leaks. He was very friendly, professional, and gave us a fair assessment of our roof problems. He gave us two estimates-- $4500 to repair the areas that produced the leaks, and $11,000 to reset the entire roof. |We are not quite ready to get this done, but we will definitely keep Gates Roofing in mind when we are. |

Description of Work: Great service, the only reason I am giving him a B on pricing is because I don't know if the price was right or not as I didn't more estimates due to the fact that Shane was the only contractor I was able to get an estimate from, I called a few more people and they didn't even return my calls, Shane was very easy to deal with and after getting the estimate I didn't think about the price, of course that not his fault, overall I am very happy with the repairs he did on my roof and I would hire him again.

+ -1 moreThey came out as promised, worked through July 4th, and had the job done in the time they'd estimated. They did a good job, were friendly and competent. The new roof looks great and the I enjoy the new attic vents they installed. I would hire them again.We chose them over several other bids because of their longer guarantee (12 yrs), reasonably close bids to other companies with comparable quality materials, and the larger number of attic vents they proposed.
Description of Work: Shane and Shawn Gates had a double layer of old shingles and tar paper removed, and installed a great looking new roof. The new roof included installing 4 new attic vents.

They put plastic over as much as possible and blew it out several times of the remaining debris. They estimated 4 days, but on the 4th day they only needed to be here a few hours. Their estimate was less & included more (vents, longer guarantee) than 2 other bids we received. They were very professional

My first call to the answering machine was returned within 3 hours and a house call was scheduled for the same day. He personally showed me the problem areas that needed to be addressed and then provided a detailed estimate before he left. Once we picked him to do the work, our job was scheduled within a few days. Shawn and his guys were always prompt and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the work day. The job was carefully done without any tiles being broken by the workers. Work did not exceed the estimate and was completed in 4 days as estimated. I would definitely do business with this company again!
Description of Work: Roof Repair: -Tile Re-set -Removed existing roof tile/table stack/install new tile, underlayment and re-install existing tile -Where roof to wall meet next to garage install new flashing coping metal to cover open area and waterproof as needed -Reseal and paint all existing pipe flashings -Re-install new concrete in dome, vents and skylights -Replace and or reseal any broken tile as needed -10 yr workmanship warranty

+ -1 moreI thought they were very reasonable in their pricing and also very quick. They were honest enough to charge me less than the quote when they realized it was not as much work as they thought.
Description of Work: I had them rip of the old roof and dispose of the debris. They installed new asphalt shingles on my 1400 square foot home as well as new plywood.
