Very bizarre experience.

I experienced water damage in my home due to flood in a neighbor's house. Voge handled all of the restoration work. They were extremely helpful and did an excellent job. They were honest, reliable and did everything as promised and more.

phenomenal, fantastic, could not have been better in any way. ordeal began returning home easter weekend, found rear of our home flooded after toilet failed. no where to turn, didn't know anyone to call, opened the yellow pages and just pointed. well that was the luckiest pointing ever. finger landed on ad for regal carpet restoration specializing in flood damage. my call was answered (easter sunday evening) by danny at regal who promptly dispatched his team to begin the cleanup. first impressions being lasting impressions as the saying goes, we were so taken by ernesto and his crew we decided to continue with regal through the process. regals crew removed all affected carpet, saturated drywall and closets. I'll give regal a separate review under their name. in short a wonderful experience ron at voge contacted me and we began a 2 month relationship as drywallers, painters, cabinet makers, carpet, marble, finished woodworking. you name it, whatever crafts were required to put our house back in order ron, and jean at the office, oversaw every stage or work. could go on and on but i'll get to the point, it was just the most professional, delightful, comfortable relationship one would hope for when you find yourself at odds with an insurance adjuster and need guidance. my wife can't stop raving about each and every worker that came to our home. by the time all subs had finished we met 25-30 of the nicest most trustworthy skilled craftsmen you can only hope to deal with. all ron's guys, all ron overseeing everything. more than happy to speak with anyone considering using voge or regal and will discuss on phone or in person as you wish.

They were excellent and the work is first rate. The quality was excellent, the workers were punctual, pleasant, and left the premises fully cleaned up every evening when done. The work took approximately 6 weeks and the professionalism was top notch. Special thanks go to David who the head of the project. He was at the site constantly, always available by phone and checked in with us every day to make sure we had not problems and were pleased with the work. David was excellent to work with.

Their representative arrived promptly and began suggesting additional work that was not needed. We declined. We hired them for four days work (their estimate), which turned into five. The two workers were not supervised at any time. At the end, they failed to clean up inside or outside and left hastily. The next day we inspected the room. Everything they promised had been done -- sloppily and unprofessionally . They neglected to prime, they left gouges, bumps, and gaps, streaked white paint across blue window trim, did not sand crucial areas, left paint on the floors, built two "arches" that were lumpy and irregular. It looked as if they had not used masking tape while painting. Another Vogue Inc. supervisor came to get their final check, and agreed the work was shoddy and unacceptable. We refused to pay the C.O.D. and have hired someone else to repair their mess.

They were very friendly when I met them, but they try every way to provide minimal service for maximum dollars. They promise to deliver a lot and yet cut corners in their work at a high dollar rate. They had to replace and reflash the windows and did such poor work that they had to do it twice. Recently due to heavy rains in '08, water leaked from the same spot again. When I asked if they would fix it, they said they would caulk that spot and test it for water insulation. I can't believe these guys still have a license seeing that they so that I have to get another contractor to redo it.

Choose Voge if you want to pay too much and get the opposite of what you asked for. My decorator recommended Voge. Once I discovered that Voge wanted to charge me about 35-45% more than market rates for hardwood installation and painting, I cut Voge back to only a few tasks. Given the amount of time and materials involved, I believe the work they did was overpriced. Also, what Voge tried to give me was not even close to what we had agreed upon. For the entry steps, the steps they re-built were just as uneven and therefore unsafe as what they started with (6" and 8" step heights, rebuilt to 8" and 6"). The guy doing the work said nobody told him that the goal was to even out the step heights, which is what I had repeatedly told Voge was the whole point of the work. The cabinet work they originally tried to deliver was a joke. To Voge's credit, they did make everything right eventually. I did not like and did not trust the Voge representative.
