Estimator was terrific. One of the two men who did the work was terrific. The other was having a "bad day" and bad attitude. I knew before they left that they might have done a good job with the Breast but the pipe was not moved to the place that the estimator said it should be, and I had agreed. Also, he added a piece of pipe that was shiny silver, and it should have been black. I called the owner, and she was very nice about it and apologized. She immediately made an appointment for her foreman to come back, take a look and finish it. When he arrived, he agreed with me and fixed it technically and aesthetically - no problem. He said that they had done a very good job on the breast. I had a long talk with the owner about the man with the bad attitude, and she agreed that he sometimes had a personality problem . I would say that the first part of the job was a B - only because of his attitude. In the end, it was an overall A - absolutely!

We recently purchased our first home and quickly realized that the dryer vents needed cleaning. I hopped on to Angie's List and found this nearby business. Since it was late in the day on Sunday I left a message and they got back to me early Monday morning. I was able to make an appointment for the following day and Don came out to perform the service. Don was quick, professional and very helpful. We had him check out our chimney too and surprisingly he said we didn't need it. I'd definitely recommend and will certainly be using this company again.

The man who came by, Don, was a rock star. He patiently answered all of my questions. He was timely and so courteous. And most important, he was knowledgeable. I felt as if my chimney was well evaluated and I learned so much. I do not think that anyone could do better than The Chimney Sweeper.

We are 110% thrilled. We actually found them in the Internet where you will also find them with rave reviews. 1 brother runs the phone & office, the other shows up with a top hat & all the necessary supplies & equipment to do a very thorough spotless cleaning. White gloves, literally. We couldn't believe Mom hadn't done this in 20+ years. DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!! But you can't believe the stuff that comes out if such a place. You could smell the gaseous accelerants as he sucked them clean with his vacuum. You couldn't even tell there was any such messy cleaning, they are that spotless. We could not be any happier with this job. Their professionalism was A++++++.. Their timeliness 100%. We will be using them for the repairs that they suggested because we are SURE they want our business until the day they or we die. A good long time from now. Thank you chimney sweepers! The booking process was a pleasure and they were very accommodating. The technician showed-up on time, he was very pleasant and polite. He performed the job quickly and cleanly. In addition, he made suggestions on the proper way to start a fire.

They were great but it wasn't absolutely necessary to have the service completed because we have our Plasma TV hanging over the fireplace so we are not going to be burning anything in it for that reason.

Dan arrived promptly and got immediately to work. He was well-organized, fast, and efficient. In addition, he gave me a lot of good information about how to take care of our fireplaces in the future.

The description above is all the work that has been done so far. My house is on the market, so I have not decided if I will do the work or credit the buyer for the amount that the Chimney work will cost. There is no question in my mind that everything they propose is necessary and will be done by either me or the buyer. I will highly recommend that this company do the work. Both times that they came to my house, the service was above and beyond what I expected, and my phone conversations with the owner of the company were very professional and congenial.

I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM. There is a door on the outside of the chimney that I was unaware of. My boyfriend opened it up a few days after the chimney sweep came because he saw ashes on the dirt. It was filled with ashes - to the point where when the door is closed the ashes are pushing the little door open. I called the company and they claimed that that isn't part of their service. In fact - And I believe her name was Barbara - I can't be 100% sure because she repeatedly told me that they have been in business for 43 years and that has never been part of their service and other chimney sweep companies don't include that as well. I called two other companies just to confirm that and it turns out it is part of their service. Barbara told me I had to hire a handy man to come out and empty the hatch door and the ashes. She was rude and terse and in my opinion in today's technological age - a business owner (43 years) should know the power of the customer. Well I am shouting from the top of my chimney that they are not the people to call.

Outstanding rep/sweep, great customer service, clean work, neat & tidy

Went fine. No major problems discovered. Very little creosote build-up in flue. Minor cracks in floor of pre-fab firebox; estimate was provided to replace the ceramic liner. Nice, intelligent young man!

I had both chimneys swept and inspected. I also had my dryer event cleaned. We got some great advice on how best to use and maximize our fireplaces to warm the house and prevent heat loss. It was information that I had never received from any of the previous companies we had used. Excellent job.

I was very pleased with the work that was done for me. I called to schedule an appointment not long before Thanksgiving and they were able schedule service before the holiday where other companies I called could/would not. My house was built in 1960 and I had never used my fireplace before and told them. They quoted me $155 over the phone for the chimney cleaning and diagnostic. The additional cost was to make some repairs. Two technicians came to the house. I was given a two hour window and they arrived during that window. The service technician explained everything he saw, showed pictures of everything, and did not pressure me to do any of the repairs. I asked for his help, which he gave me, to prioritize which ones to do right away and he told me in advance how much everything would cost. They were here a total of around 90 minutes, they left the place spotless, and I will definitely have them come back again next year. I used my fireplace for the first time on Thanksgiving and all was well!

Came on time, explained process, covered the area with tarps and completed the job carefully making no mess. When done gave tips on future use and care, very knowledgable and patient.

My chimney was fairly dirty and they did a great job cleaning it. They were very clean and left my house without any mess. I have white carpet so I was worried that it was going to get really dirty. Very happy with job, no complaints. Recommended.

I called them to clean the dryer line because I knew it was not working correctly. They then stated the line that was originally installed was not legal. He was great and really helped us. He was prompt and professional.
