+ -1 moreUnfortunately, not well at all. I reached out to them two weeks before Christmas, as I wanted the fireplace working by then. The business advertised on their website, Yelp, and Angie's List that they serviced my area. Denise was great about reaching out to me and responding to emails and text messages - had me send pictures of my fireplace and describe what was needed, so I did. Shortly thereafter, Denise emailed me with, "At this time we do not service your area. Thank you for your consideration. Have a great day." I once again sent Yelp and Angie's List requests - and ironically Denise reached out to me once again, only to tell me she's "not sure who informed [me] [they] were not in [my] service area when [I] actually [am]." Needless to say, my fireplace won't be fixed by Christmas. Quite unfortunate and disappointing. I will reach out to another company and hopefully have more luck.

Then instead of them trying to send someone out as soon as possible to provide service after apologizing for no one showing up, they wanted me to wait another week and wanted me to give them my debit or credit card info over the phone before the service was even done. Ridiculous! A terrible way to do business!

+ -1 moreNot what we expected at all. He was the wrong choice for the work needed. His office was confused at what was needed at our end, but he came over and got paid anyhow for his assessment. At which time he tried to come up with an idea(s) and would call us up later for options. We don't think he was familiar with what was needed, except to say "it would be cheaper to just add an electric insert." And when we contacted him for our options of what we would like, he never contacted us back!

+ 1 moreAfter several very nice conversations, emails, and an appointment -- no show, and no follow up. I left a message, and a very friendly and informative gentleman explained in detail what this job would entail, to start, and what the price would likely be. We made an appointment. But no show, and no follow-up call or email. I left a follow-up email, and a message through Angie's list -- followed up both, and had a lovely conversation with a woman in the office with a promise to follow-up, but no one ever did. Given the high ratings on Angie's list, I am very surprised at this exceptionally poor service. Previously, I could really count on Angie's referrals -- Now, I'm not so sure.

+ 1 moreVery well done. The repair and installation folks were very knowledgeable and good. The people in the office seemed a little confused sometimes. The first time they came out they brought the wrong gas logs so the installation was delayed. It turned out that the manufacturer had given them the right logs packaged in the wrong box.

They provided a quote for the work and pictures of the repair areas that were sent it to my email account. We did decide to go ahead with the work and have it scheduled for next week.

+ -1 moreThe service man that came out was very efficient, he went up on the roof and checked the vent. He had to go to the store and replace the actual vent because it was so dirty. Then he cleaned down, and my dryer is working so much better since he did that. My interaction with him was excellent. For all the work that was needed, I thought the price was very comparable. I would use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreThe office staff was not very helpful in explaining the service and the product they were going to install but they were very eager to get a payment. They offered a standard metal chimney cap and did not tell me about other options. They emailed a picture. It was the galvanized metal which rusts over time. After some research I found that stainless steel caps are ideal because they last longer. I called the office back and asked how much the stainless cap would cost. The one gal I spoke with became irate because I questioned the high price of the stainless model. They're markup for the same one found at Home Depot was over a hundred dollars. I ended up hiring them because I was in a time crunch. I do not recommend them and will not call them back for their poor customer service!

+ 1 moreThey cam two different times to complete all the work. First to sweep the chimney and the second time to change out the gas pipe and to install the cap on top of the chimney. They were professional and prompt and I thought the work was done quickly and at a very reasonable price. They tried to up sell me without much pressure on "bullet proofing" my chimney with some special coating inside, but when I questioned him and pushed back he quickly admitted I didn't need it. Almost like he had to ask if I wanted to, but wasn't going to push it. The work they've done has held up beautifully and we now use our fireplace all the time as opposed to before when we never used it because it didn't work, vent properly. Would 100% reccommend them.
Description of Work: Swept Chimney. Changed out gas pipe to make fireplace both gas and wood burning. Installed proper cap on top of chimney.
