 + 0 moreI was about to have my roof replaced but thought I should have the chimney looked at first. I went to Angie?s List and found the CHIMNEY SWEEPER. I called and they came out, did the inspection and told me I needed a little repair done. They explained all of the work they would be doing and we set a date. They also put a percentage of the inspection fee toward the repairs, which was an added bonus. The gentlemen who came out were the same who did the inspection, I was impressed. They replaced the old rebar expansion and repaired the crown. They also gave me a new "hat" for the chimney. The heat in the valley was in the 100's and they never hesitated to get the job completed in a few hours. They were friendly, curious and professional. I would use the CHIMNEY SWEEPER again and recommend them highly.

 + 0 moreI called the Chimney sweeper on September 16 to set up an appointment for a chimney cleaning, a service that was long overdue. An appointment was set up initially for the following week, but the scheduler called back a few hours later and offered an appointment on September 19th, which I accepted. The service technician arrived 1-1/2 hours early, which was a pleasant surprise. He quickly got down to work, keeping the area clean. After he was done, he discussed the condition of the chimney in depth, which was very helpful. He discussed the use of real wood vs. Java logs (our favorite). Thankfully, I received no lecture about letting this maintenance go so long.

 + -1 moreThey were great. But they did not actually do the repair work because I found somebody else to what I needed. They did a great job of cleaning the chimney. I remember that their price fair and reasonable. They were responsive and got back to me quickly. They told me exactly when they would be here and how long it would take. It was an easy exchange.

They arranged to bring out some standard sized covers to see if any would fit - turned out they didn't so two custom-fabricated covers were made and installed in a very reasonable amount of time. Everyone we spoke with or met with was great to deal with and it's clear their employees take a lot of pride in their work and in their company. Five stars from this custumer!!!

 + 0 moreWe love burning real logs in our fireplace quite regularly each winter. Unfortunately, this winter our chimney was not drawing properly and a lot of smoke was filling the family room. I called The Chimney Sweeper right away and set an appointment within a day or two. The technician arrived on time and was very friendly and efficient. After sweeping chimney, he carefully inspected the flew and advised of potential hazards. He presented options and was able to make necessary repairs on the same service call. Most importantly, our chimney was breathing freely when he left and we were able to enjoy our fireplace right away. He left the workspace clean and tidy when he finished. I would highly recommend The Chimney Sweeper to others.

They gave a price to seal the cracks in the crown and could do the sealing the same day. Being an economics major, I decided to get another quote. I called The Chimney Sweeper and Dan gave me a quote over the phone which was much lower than the previous quote. Jeff showed up on time and was friendly, explained the repair and took before and after pictures. They were great, Josh, the technician that came out was pleasant, professional and very personable. He was careful to keep the area clean and answered all my questions.  + -1 moreArmond did an outstanding job. A tarp was placed in front of the fireplace. He completely cleaned the area in front of the fireplace as he went along. And, after he finished sweeping the chimney, the inside of the fireplace was also vaccummed.
Description of Work: Royal Chimney Sweeps came out and inspect my chimney and fireplace. Armond explained to me that my chimney had two openings which needed separate caps. He also explained to me the procedure to be used to clean my chimney and how to take care of my fireplace and chimney during the off season.
