Overall it went well. They underestimated the size truck they would need, but responded quickly with a second truck. The move started an hour late, due to someone calling in sick. They did great work, with nothing broken or scratched. I would definitely use them again.

Everything they said they would do they did. They were very prompt. I have a lot of antiques and they were careful. They were nice guys overall.

Is it possible to fall in love with a moving company? I have a 17 ton piano, it's not really 17 tons, but it feels that way. Not only did they move it without any damage, they didn't complain or make a fuss. Also, they had to contend with the narrow, hilly, twisty, steep roads up to my house and they made there way up there like they were driving a compact car, not a giant moving truck. For the amount of work and trouble they had with my move (the piano, the location) I was more than happy to pay extra, BUT they didn't charge me extra. Only a couple of extra dollars for the extra time it took. No extra fees for the stupid piano or the hills. The guys were fun, professional, extremely hard working, and so on top of their game. I almost wish I had to move again, so I could hire them to help me. Moving is an unpleasant experience for everyone, unless you are lucky enough to work with these guys. If you don't use them, then you deserve the less than amazing move you will get with some other company.

Excellent. They were on time, took good care of my belongings. The owner was kind enough to allow me to keep the blankets on the furniture stored in my garage (at my request) and only asks that I return them when done (not that I use them again when moving the furniture back). I will however use them again and recommend them highly.

They sent in the packers the day before the move, we sat in a small room in order to be out of their way. They emptied every piece of furniture, they loaded it all up in a rented van. They got everything in on one trip. Then moved us, all of our cloths were wrinkled, they just removed everything and stuffed it in a box. It took us 3 days to be able to function. It was just a nightmare!

While packing the truck, the movers ran out of space and could not move some of the paints and printings I wanted to move as well. Rather than find room, they leaned the paints and printings against the fence and moved the rest of the belongings to the other house. They said they would come back shortly to get the paintings/prints, but they decided to go to lunch, and did not come back for another hour after they were supposed to. Also, when the workers came back, they did not have an invoice, so they asked for a piece of paper on which they scribbled the total amount. They charged me for additional trips (despite the fact that we had already agreed that, because they needed to use a smaller truck and could not haul as much, there would not be additional charges). The workers also documented a thirty minute lunch (and counted that as a back and forth trip on the total amount), but they were gone for an hour. After I followed up with the management, he said he would refund me the amount I disputed, but he never delivered the check as he had promised.

They were great. Steve and Ray showed up early and got started right away. They were joined by Serge not too long after. I had a one bedroom apartment with nothing overly complicated or extremely fragile to move. It was an in-town shift, so the whole thing went from about 9am to noon.

They were on-time, courteous, friendly, efficient, professional, etc. Couldn't have asked for a better crew. The arrived at 9 am in Glendale and were done at 3 pm in Ventura, including a 30 minute lunch-break. My only complaint was that I was given an oral estimate of $850 and the job ultimately cost around $1150.00. Originally the plan was for a 3-man crew. Richard suggested we do a 4-man crew to expedite the job. My concern was that I'd get hit on the double drive time since it was a 90 minute drive one way. Richard graciously offered to charge for only 3 guys for the driving time. Having run the calculations a couple different ways, I knew that the difference cost-wise of a 3 v. 4 man crew really wasn't that significant. I was anticipating having to pay around $1k, even though he had estimated $850.00. So when the bill came to $1150 (not including the $80 in total tips the guys earned, and the $30 bucks for Chipotle burritos which I was happy to provide) I was a bit disappointed. Turns out, I was charged for starting with the crew's departure from HQ and ending with their anticipated return time. And I was charged for 3-man double drive time (as expected). My understanding re: "double drive time" was that this is an legally required mechanism that takes the place of charging for time spent driving from the destination back to HQ. And now that I think about it, the guys finished at 3:00. It took the crew chief a long time to get the billing straight with Richard (at least 30 minutes). They estimated returning to base at 5pm. That is 2.5 hours of 4-man time I did not expect I would need to pay (about $333). However, Sunshine Boys charged $133 for a 4-man crew, and many places charge $120 for a 3-man crew. So maybe there was a little funny-business on the back end with the pricing, but given how many horror-stories you read on-line, I was just relieved that everything went so smoothly. Just make sure you ask whether the billing starts when they arrive at your house, or when they leave from HQ.

I'd lived in my previous apartment for 8 years, and it seemed ridiculous how quickly they moved it. I did help them out by packing everything before they got here. They were efficient, friendly and were all around good company. They seemed like grad students working to pay for school, but they still did quality work. They dealt with my tricky parking and made short work of what seemed to me to be a mountain of stuff. Very easy experience - they came after breakfast and were done before lunch! Richard was also really friendly and helpful in getting me my estimate, and the whole job came in under what he quoted.

They quoted me about $1,000, but it ended up being less. They were extremely nice and professional. They were on time and did the whole job in about 5 hours.

It was good because they were nice on the phone and very friendly in person. They came when they said they would and did what they said hey would. They were courteous of my things and they did a great job.

The guys were punctual, friendly and speedy. I was all packed up and ready for them so things went smoothly. There were stairs at both the apartment I moved out of and at the house I moved into but that didn't slow them down. Everything was off the truck in the new house in 3 1/2 hrs. Final cost was about $50 more than the estimate, but that was what I had expected.

Richard was very responsive throughout the process. We called on Thursday needing assistance on Saturday and they showed up right on time. The group that packed us up was extremely polite and efficient. Our place was packed up in about 3.5 hours. Great job! The move also went extremely well. They showed up right on time for both aspects of the job and the movers were as polite and helpful as the packers. They constantly asked us where we wanted things placed and they were very accommodating through every stage. We had only one item (washing machine) that was damaged, but Richard took responsibility for the damage and this is exactly the type of integrity we were hoping for! Excellent job overall!

There were very professional. They were on time and asked questions about why I was moving the items and how I wanted it arranged. They made sure to put the items into the unit in a way that makes it more accessible.

I had a couple of people came out to give me an estimate. I liked this company so I went with them. The job took longer than expected so they did not stand by their estimate and that left a bad taste in my mouth. There are some things missing or not put back together.(Like shelves missing from the bookcase and the petals not put back on the piano.

It went awesome. They are very careful with all of our stuff, they are very thorough. They are very personable and likeable. They just seam to be a great bunch of guys. They have been able to respond on fairly short notice which helped me.
