Horrible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I used this company many years ago when they were known as Sunshine Boys Moving and they did two local moves for me. Great job, reasonable price. THAT HAS ALL CHANGED. I had them out for a quote to move my two bedroom house from West Hollywood, CA to Nashville, TN and I asked if they would be the ones moving me from door to door. They assured me yes. I had seen all the horror stories on tv about movers and scams and how they try to get more money from you on delivery and how they often hand your stuff off to other companies you never even spoke to. They assured me they would be the ones moving me the whole way. They lied. First off, they wuoted me $3750 which was insanely cheap but I was really happy about that. By the time they got done picking up (it was two different pick ups because I used half of my stuff to stage my house for sale), that move suddenly was $7500. I said ok. It was around what I expected and the idea that they were going to be seeing my move from door to door also made me want to go ahead. They handed my stuff off to an outside company without telling me and when it arrived everthing that i ever owned in my kitchen was missing. Over $1200 in kitchen stuff. Brand new bedding, missing. One of my canvas paintings had a frame cracked all the way through. To make it even worse the outside company had several additional charges they wanted paid: 1- had to use the elevator, they wanted to be paid. 2- parking wasn't waiting on them, they wanted to be paid. After all of this ****, I went to Relocation Network and listed what was missing and damaged and they reminded me that their contract only obligates them to .60 cents per pound and they sent me a check for $250 to make me go away. I had no recourse even though I lost nearly $1500 in stuff because I didn't read that detail in the contract. The one recourse I do have is this review. Be warned. Also I noticed they have TWO profiles on here probably because of bad reviews like mine. I will alert Angies List to this as well as I think it is a blatant attempt to try and escape their bad reviews. Avoid at all costs.

Movers ruined newly refurbished hardwood floors with their dolly . They did not take time to protect the flooring . Sent photos to supervisor hoping for a resolve. They claimed they spoke to an'expert ' and it was impossible . Now I'm going to be responsible as a tenant to fix the damaged flooring . The movers that came told me while they were moving me that they weren't responsible for floors . Should have been a red flag . They don't care ! Don't recommend . Sunshine is a joke. Paid over 3,500 for a move and won't remedy the situation. They won't even come take a look .

The movers did a really good job of trying to get all of my stuff in one storage unit. Unfortunately, I won't know what condition it is in until I move again. There was damage done to front stairs in the townhome I moved from (wood laminate). I was not able to report right away because I didn't know about it and I have not heard from the moving company since I reported it. I don't believe they are going to do anything about fixing it. It wasn't there before I moved and it looks like dual dolly marks. The movers were really nice.

They did a pretty good job for us all in all I would say. There were add-ons from every company I spoke to. There was also the need for things to occur at a very specified time period and I think they are the ones that had the opening.

I called via the Sunshine Boys listing, but this company had been bought by Relocation Services, so I will post the review in both places. I want to be fair in this review by listing the good and the bad - overall, the service was very good and the price was not bad. I gave it a B for price for a specific reason which I will clarify shortly, but first the service as a whole. From my first call with Dan, he was clear and helpful in answering my questions and explaining the way they work. I planned on taking the day off and helping with the move so i decided to go with an hourly rate. I was told the rate for 3 men and a truck, and that there was a $50 fee for fuel and that travel time between homes would be counted at a 15 minute minimum. This was fine with me as I was moving 5 miles away (4.37 per mapquest). Also that materials used would be extra. As I was packing everything myself before hand, and we had plenty of boxes, I was also OK with this. Dan was friendly and helpful and his attitude on the phone really helped sell the service vs the other places I looked into. Christian, Brian and one other gentleman (Ernesto, I want to say?) arrived on time and looked at the workload. I think it was a bit overwhelming to them as I had a lot of boxes and my house was on a hill with no direct street access so that meant up and down a lot of stairs. That seemed to delay the start a bit, but maybe they were just getting a plan together, but the first half hour did not seem especially productive. They went over the rate again with one small difference. I was told the drive time between houses was charged double, and nothing about a 15 minute minimum. Again, being fewer than 5 miles away, I was Ok with it. Also the supplies charge was mentioned and that I would mostly likely need shrinkwrap on the larger pieces of furniture. Once the work got started, they worked tirelessly. And it was tiring. The stairs made a difference and as I was hauling boxes up with them, I know it didn't take long to feel worn out by the constant climbing. In fact, the loading of the truck took 3 times longer than unloading. But they pushed through, taking a short break a few hours in and then we bought lunch, but otherwise they worked pretty much non-stop, and they were pleasant and professional to be around. Nothing to complain about there. They also took care of our things, probably more than the things warranted in many cases. At the other house, as we weren't fully sure where everything was going to go, we picked a room for the majority of the boxes so we had a place to quickly dump them and when it came to the larger furniture, they place everything where we asked them to - whether it was upstairs, in the back yard, or in a particular room. The only item damaged was a piece of our table which is constructed from an old mission/ranch door and a piece that jutted out from the end got knocked and broke off. They did apologize and by that time, I barely cared but looking back on the moment, it would have been nice if that had been addressed a little more thoroughly. They suggested we could probably glue it back on, and an I'm sorry, but that was it. Now, about the price. Ultimately I paid less than other quotes I got for the full job, but i also worked along side them and helped keep it moving. I'm not sure if it would have been more worth it to just work that day and earn more than I saved, but I did want to be part of it. So as a whole, comparing to other possible costs, it was fair and even cheaper. Here is my only complaint. I save it for the end because the rest of the service was very good and this is the one problem I have with what happened (if you ignore the table piece, which ultimately was fairly inconsequential). It's 4.37 miles as I've said, from one house to the other. I left five minutes after they did and arrived at the new house in seven minutes. I unloaded my car and cleared out some space in the house, opened the garage, and fifteen minutes later they had not arrived. I called thinking the must have gotten lost. They were just around the corner and pulling on to the street right then. They went and got water and snacks, which I don't have a problem with. Except that the 7 minute trip was counted as 30 minutes and then doubled so that I paid an hour's cost for them to drive 4.37 miles. And I already had paid a $50 fuel fee. So $167 for the drive over. I'm not thrilled with that. Perhaps I could have made a bigger deal about it at the time but I was just trying to get the job done and at that point, I was ready to be finished The other pricing issue I had was the materials/supplies. I had all my own boxes. They offered wardrobe boxes for free, but I didn't need them. Blankets and padding, also free. So the only thing I used of theirs was the shrink wrap. Mabye two decent sized rolls of it. But the supplies charge was $100. So $167 for 4.37 miles and $100 for two rolls of Saran Wrap. That just feels like I'm being cheated which I don't like. Even at $50, that would have been pricey, but I'd chalk it up to cost of business but $100 just felt excessive and there wasn't any real way of quantifying it - it was just Materials $100. And after 9 hours (well 8 and a half) I just wanted to be done. Plus my dog had run off down the street and I needed to go find her. So I paid it, and waited two weeks to review so that I'd have perspective and not just be left with that taste in my mouth. As I said, the work was exemplary and the price over all was less than what I had been quoted elsewhere, but the way they arrived at the last couple hundred of that felt pretty crappy.

The move went pretty well, there were some misunderstandings on what it was going to take. We provided a list, because they didn’t provide inventory list. There were several items that didn’t fit on the truck and I ended up spending more than anticipated. It was a little hectic. They were on time, they were polite, and they completed the job.

Sunshine Boys is hands down the best moving company I have ever experienced. They are great over the phone, polite, kind and nice in person, prompt, on-time and fast. Every team I've had come for my moved are fast, they all speak English and just funny guys to be around. They made a stressful day of moving easy. I appreciated their hustle and positive attitude the entire time. This most recent move was the most difficult move I've experienced because we were moving to a house on a hill. They had to do two loads AND the guys had to carry heavy boxes and furniture up a steep drive, up a set of uneven stone steps and a lot of stuff had to go up even further on the steep hillside. It was not fun, I didn't envy them and everyone was exhausted. But during the entire time Dennis and his team had a smile on their face, a positive can-do attitude and didn't hesitate when they had to carry yet another heavy load up several flights of hilly stone steps. 9 hours later, smiles and positive attitudes were still there. You can't imagine how much of a difference it makes. I would enthusiastically recommend Sunshine Boys Moving Co.

Our experience with Sunshine Boys Moving & Storage was great from start to finish. Booking the appointment was quick and easy.Joe Brooks took the order and was friendly and helpful. He explained the charges up front and although the initial quote seemed high, Joe reviewed each item with me and also said there was a 5% Angie's List discount., which was an added incentive to select them. I received a written estimate via email and a call the day before re-confirming the appointment. On the the 21st I got a text from Ray,one of the movers letting me know they were on their way. Ray and Sergio arrived right on time and were quick, professional, and efficient. They took care to wrap fragile items and carefully moved boxes and furniture. We were very pleased with this company and I would recommend them to anone who needs professional help with moving.

From beginning to end, Joe an Bonnie at Sunshine Boys Moving and Storage were a great help with our need for a local move, and also with storage of our household goods at their facility. They are the best at what they do and their coordination of our move and the entire experience was hassle free. The moving team of four worked well together in packing everything with extra care and managed delivery to the right locations perfectly - some to storage, some to our new residence. Highly recommend.

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to engage the services of RELOCATION NETWORK, Inc. and were incredibly satisfied and appreciative of the absolutely superb service we were provided. Moving is beyond stressful. Especially when you are crossing several states. RELOCATION NETWORK were timely, helpful and highly professional in helping us organize, pack and prepare for our move. The company provided us with plenty of movers who were friendly and polite and most importantly very focused on completing the job on time. In addition, they were very respective of our belongings. I would highly recommend RELOCATION NETWORK.

While making a move recently, Relocation Network was extraordinary to me every step of the way. They made the job go so smoothly, and never rushed or broke anything, as they are total professionals. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They exemplify what anybody making a move is looking for: that their their valuable things be looked after properly, and giving you the utmost peace of mind throughout the move. This team in Sun Valley is not only the best in the Valley-- THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE ENTIRE LOS ANGELES AREA!

In an earlier review I wrote about our excellent experience with the Sunshine Boys moving my late mother-in-law's household goods, including fine art, rare books and fragile antiques from her home to our storage warehouse. When the owner of that building sold it, we had to move a good deal of the stuff a second time, to another facility. It was a smaller job, since much of her estate has been sold, but it was still a couple of days work and two trucks. At the other end, the guys did a great job unpacking and helping me display and organize our goods in three different storage units. We continue to be very pleased with the service and attention, and the speed of the workers as they pack and load. This is the third time we have used the Sunshine Boys for a big moving job.
Description of Work: Packed and moved our things from one storage warehouse to another.

Scheduling was fine. I told them we had hardwood floors in the apartment and in the condo so the furniture and whatever was moved wouldn't scratch the ground and to bring mats. When I got there one of the movers made a large scratch (approximately 3' - 4') in the floor at the apartment with a box. There seemed to be a lack of communication between the movers, the scheduler and reconfirm scheduler. The mover indicated he didn't know about the hardwood floors or stairs and I asked them what he was going to do about it and he tried to buff the scratch out with a wax crayon. Right after that they were really careful but he only initially attempted to get the scratch about 1/5th of the scratch and I once I complained he tried to get it out of about 2/3rd of the scratch. I forgot to tell them I had a $50 Angie's List coupon. I did not follow up with them as inconvenient and I was too busy with full-time job, the move and a new baby.
Description of Work: They moved us from an apartment to a condo. A team of 4-5 completed the move in about 6-7 hours.

The movers were very careful with my belongings. Organized and on time. They were extremely professional and didn't just drop off the furniture, but instead worked with me on placement of the pieces in my new space. They even put floor protectors I had purchased on the furniture for me.

They were warm, kind, patient and very understanding of exactly what I needed. The in house contact, Joe, was especially great.

Two guys came on time and took all the packed boxes and furniture that was ready. They did not have to pack anything, I had already packed everything that needed to go. Some of my boxes didn't have enough tape and some of the furniture needed padding so these guys had blankets and tape and covered up what needed to be covered. You do get charged for that tape! So keep that in mind if you don't have your stuff packed already. I was VERY impressed with Dennis, he moved my two door side by side refrigerator all by himself and he did a great job. They even took out the door of my new place because some stuff didn't fit through the door. He did everything fast and efficient. He worked the entire time and had a good personality.
Description of Work: These guys moved my 3 bedroom house into a two bedroom townhouse from Covina to the BEACH!

Supervisor Joe who took the order and set up the estimate was always pleasant, professional and right on top of the whole move. He accomodated our schedule and was very pleasant to work with before during and at the time of payment. Likewize, the on site forman Ray was very polite, courteous, professional, and accomodating. The crew varied from 4-8 guys who were all polite and careful with our possessions. They worked hard and steady and were cheerful. They moved an expensive piano and sofas dining room table hutch etc. The move took alittle longer than expected but that was fine with us.I would highly recommedn this company and these personel.

This company is amazing! They sent four extremely nice, hard working, and fast movers to my house to assist in my move to a new location. They quoted me for between 4 to 7 hours for this job and had it done in 4 hours and 35 minutes. These guys worked their butts off to bring my quota down to the most affordable price I could imagine for a job of this size. They also were extremely careful not to damage any of my furniture and treated it as if they were personally responsible for it. This company is highly recommended in my book. The owner also personally took time to follow up with me to make sure the move went smoothly. They're, not to be cliche, the best is the biz!
