Description of Work: I had an emergency situation and needed a mover quickly to pack up, move and store my belongings from my roof deck. I called on a Friday and was scheduled for 8:30 am that Sunday. Three very nice young men arrived and worked very hard and quickly yet efficiently. They packed everything without overpacking and by 4:30 they were done and took it all away to their storage facility. The price included storage for the two weeks remaining in the month. I CANNOT recommend them enough.

Description of Work: The movers moved me from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom 2 story townhouse 5 miles away. Most of the boxes were already moved so it was mostly furniture being moved.

Description of Work: Sunshine Boys moved a suite of bedroom furniture from my father's assisted living in San Dimas to our home in Glendale (including a twin bed, a dresser, 2 nightstands, a love seat, a chair, 3 lamps, several paintings, a few boxes and a closet full of clothing. I spoke to Richard by phone on the evening of 1/14/09 and he was willing to schedule the move as soon as the following day (which saved us from unnecessary charges at the retirement home). Richard gave his estimate by phone before scheduling the job and he seemed especially receptive to customers referred from Angie's list. They have a 3-hour minimum charge for moving ($85 per hour plus a mileage rate). The move itself only took about 2 hours, so I utilized the movers to also move some other things at the Glendale house (a refrigerator, heavy rugs, some other small furniture to make room for the new stuff). Richard was fine with us doing that saying "you're paying for 3 hours, you can utilize my guys for whatever you need moved during that time". The moving crew included 2 men Sergio & Darren. Their enclosed truck had more than enough room. They came equipped with dolly, shrink wrap, tape, tie downs and garment boxes for transporting the clothing. Sergio & Darren were very efficient and good natured, more than willing to follow directives even though I gave them a little more work than they probably expected and even though we had some steep stairs to contend with. My only concern is that the crew didn't have a ramp or lift gate on their truck, making the job harder than necessary for them.

Description of Work: Moving the contents of an approximately 700 square foot apartment to a 1,800 square foot home 3 miles away. Movers did not do boxing (they would have, but I'd already done it), but did wrap up and care for fragile items, electronics, etc. Hauled items onto a truck, drove the truck, and moved things into my specifications in the house.

Description of Work: They moved my 88 year old mother from one assisted living facility to another. Very good with Mom, very respectful and kind in how they approached packing her precious possessions. They also responded to a last minute request from me on additional boxes and did not blink an eye. They showed up on time, efficiently packed all and then moved all furniture into place at the new facility.
