I was very happy with them. They seemed very efficient, they called me before they came, and they were very fast. I understood everything in the contract because they went over everything with me.

Two gentlemen came to move everything.They were professional and did a good job. My only criticism is they didn't cover any furniture that might have been damaged while moving it to the van. They did cover items once in the van. Make sure to request that they cover any items you don't want damaged.

The movers were polite, efficient, and thorough. They took great pains to be careful with fragile items, and to be careful toward our newly painted walls. They worked quickly and were very trustworthy. The move took less time than expected and thus cost less as well.

They were a little late in arriving, but got to work immediately when they did. They didn't take a real "lunch" break and worked hard for 9 hours or so. Everything (minus one flimsy glass) made it without any problems. The crew was professional and pleasant. They didn't complain about carrying heavy objects up flights of stairs, even when asked to wear "booties" to keep the carpet clean. I would advise anyone being packed to make sure the boxes are labelled with as much detail as possible. Many boxes were labelled as kitchen, rather than pots or plates. Certain items are more important right away and we are still looking for them. However I'd put that o*** on us and not the movers.

They are the best and you get what you pay for so the price was a little high.

Scheduling was easy, we were able to book them within 2 or 3 days. They arrived right on time. They did the job efficiently, quickly and were polite and friendly. I highly recommend this company.

They were the best. I had a horrible experience with our movers before, but Sunshine Boys were great. They helped me with some organization and packing then moved everything into our portable storage unit. They then helped us with the actual move. They had to park the truck in front of a long small driveway with trees everywhere. The truck would not fit so they had to carry everything down the driveway and then up two flights of stairs and some things even went in the attic. They were very careful and a huge help. I felt completely taken care of and their people were great.

We moved from a two bedroom in to a three bedroom and had to pick up items in storage ( the storage was MUCH bigger than I remembered ) and these guys were great! The guys were from back east and had a great attitude and alot of hustle. I thought I had done most of the packing but after they cleared the furniture, I realized that I had done almost nothing. There was considerable packing to do but it was no problem, they had plenty of boxes, paper, etc...I was worried that it wouldn't all fit in the truck, but they managed somehow. The main problem was the amount of time it took to unload- (which is totally an oversight on my part) - the power lines in the alley were too low for the truck to fit so they had about a 30 step hike to the front door. All in all a great experience, considering all the hurdles

They took three weeks to get the load from Los Angeles to New Orleans. Competitors get it there is three or four days. After a few days I called them every morning and they told me that it was leaving that day. Three weeks later, the load finally left. They lied everyday. They were to deliver half the load at my house and half at a storage faciliity. They never delivered the half to my house. They unloaded it in the parking lot at the storage facility and drove off. I had to rent a truck and take it to my house. I used these people on the recomendations in Angie's list. Their price was the same as two major carriers. What a big mistake! Stay away from these people!

Jim & John were great! They were on time, courteous, professional, flexible and a delight to work with. They even helped me coral the cats for transport! They made the move smooth and painless.

This crew saved our move. We were coming from 900 sq. ft. and had done what we thought was a good job of packing up everything but little odds and ends. When they got the furniture out and we were able to see better what we were dealing with, we realized that our preparation hadn't been as good as we'd thought. We had boxes and boxes of things left over and no boxes to put them in, nor any way apart from the Sunshine Boys truck to get them to our new location. Everything had to be done that day. in addition to all of the usual stuff on the truck -- moving blankets, dollies, ramps, etc. -- they also had a ton of cardboard boxes ready to go that we wound up using. They were able to send an extra guy to meet the crew at our apartment and join in, and the movers took over packing duties on the stuff that remained. We had soooo much more stuff than we thought, and even though it cost us more to deal with it all than we'd estimated (which is totally fair), the move still went as smoothly as a move can reasonably go. They unloaded the truck at our new place quickly, and nothing was broken. Not that I ever want to move again after dealing with the whole process, but if I ever do, I won't hesitate to call these guys again. They really took care of us.

AMAZING! I hate moving but after my experience with these guys I actually would do it again. That is how amazing they are. When do you remember saying to yourself: I would gladly move again!? 3 guys who were there: Jim, Jermain, and Ray were wonderful. They were professional , kind, and had a great sense of humor (a great thing when you are stressed about moving). They finished the job much quicker than I expected and did so without damaging anything. Because of my job I move about every 3-4 years and have worked with many mover but none as wonderful as these guys. I am a very ahrd person to please anand can honestly tell you I very HIGHLY recommend them.

At my house, I had about 10 already-packed boxes, a console TV, and a dresser at my home + a few ceramic pieces that needed to be boxed up. They spent about an hour at my house, then we went to the storage unit, where they loaded everything in the truck in about 1/2 hour. I don't know how the unloading went in Victorville. But on my end, the guys were great, very professional and friendly, and careful with the goods. The price seemed a little high to me (although it was a bit lower than other places I called for estimates), but most of it was for round-trip travel time to Victorville.

The moving guys were easy going and good guys and easy to get along with. The main problem in not giving A's like the other reviews was that they were very slow moving in comparison to a half dozen other movers I've used in recent years. In the verbal confirmations I made in the week prior to the move date, I was consistently told that they would arrive early but ended up arriving 30 minutes late. Not such a big deal but that made it 1.5 hrs late in my mind. Which I also ended up having to pay for because of the double drive-time pay rules. Once they arrived, they started up and seemed to know what they were doing but they just moved slowly in comparison to previous experiences, they made leisurely decisions of what to wrap, what not to wrap, what to take first, second, etc... I was assuming they were just being careful and thoughtful. I believe the description of what needed to be moved and the 2 stories were accurate. The original estimate I got over the phone was probably 4 to 5 hours (with the drive time between houses included). They took a little over 7 hours plus the double drive time. This also included me helping to move things to the truck and unload things as well. We provided lunch and drinks to help in speeding things along. All in all, nice guys but I won't use them again. It's hard to quantify but from my previous experiences with other movers, I felt ripped off in the end.

What a pleasant experience! I was dreading moving (I have had a very unpleasant moving experience in the past), but Richard came out for a quote and I knew instantly that this was the moving company for me! He was so helpful and cooperative. When his crew showed up at my apartment, they were pleasant and just plain nice. They took wonderful care of all of my stuff. They finished the job in about 2 hours, and then got in the truck and headed off to San Jose. They delivered everything to my new house later that evening, and when I arrived the next morning, everything was perfect. I would recommend these guys to everyone and anyone.

They arrived on time, worked very fast, efficiently and completed the first phase in less time than originally estimated. The men were clean, polite and very helpful

We used Sunshine Boys for two jobs, a couple weeks apart. A team of 8 great guys came and moved our offices (we did the packing), and they were careful, swift, and extremely easy to work with. Funny and smart. It was a brutally hot day, and they never lost their cool. Because of the success of that move, we arranged with Sunshine Boys for a couple of guys (Jim and Gary, both of whom had worked the office move) to help pack our kitchen and move boxes and furniture out of the work area into the living room. Again, they couldn't have been nicer, more responsive, more competent.

Loved the movers - Patrick and Jim - very polite and very helpful. Highly recommend. Good followup with Richard as well.

Patrick, Jon and Alex had to deal with the fact that my wife and I actually, we realized as we moved, had at least two one bedrooms worth of stuff instead of just the one. Without Patrick's careful packing that truck would not have done at all but surprisingly they made it all fit. They worked from 2pm to 10pm on a Saturday like champs. They never complained or failed to be polite and professional although we had clearly underestimated the amount of work to be done. Their conduct and quality work kept a long difficult day from becoming a nightmare.

The moving crew showed up early. The team leader, Danny, was extremely professional and listened to our requests exactly. The entire crew was neat, careful, and very professional. They were a very trustworthy group to work with. We have made several moves and this was by far our best moving experience.

The overall experience was excellent. Ray was the lead mover and he showed up on time with his team, reviewed the townhouse and then described to us in detail how the day would go. He kept to his word. My husband and I ended up sitting at the neighbors while they did the move. The worked fast and efficient. When they arrived at the new house, they were very respectful of our possessions and asked us where we wanted things for each room. After they left, we realized that we forget to get the security door key from our old place, so when I called Ray to let him know; we agreed that he would mail it as soon as possible. Then, the next day, he ended up returning it to our house; which was awesome because I knew it was out of the way for him.

The moving was done well. No complaints. The packing was the suprise. More than double what I expected in price and when I was unpacking found out why. Entire boxes were dedicated to things like a single circular saw. Kitchen items were packed with enough care they could have survived a directe hit from a hammer (as an example, a single saucer packed three layers deep each individually applied of packing paper - take that times 12 saucers and fill half a box). Other than the price suprise, the move was completed without any hitches and the team they sent were all friendly and stuck to their jobs all day.

Great experience. They actually arrived a little early, and brought plenty of guys to help load the truck quickly. All of them were courteous and friendly, and went right to work. We were a little nervous to have them move our Piano, but they did a superb job. Richard was great to deal with, and very fair on pricing as well.

They were absolutely terrific, efficient and well-organized. They did what they said they were going to do, were careful with our stuff and knew what they were doing. I was quite pleased with them. They got lost on the way to our house, but considering where we lived, they actually did a pretty good job. They had mapped our location beforehand but what happened was that the truck was too big to come up to where we lived. We lived on a little, tiny, narrow, street, and the only way to get to it was either up this very narrow street that was single width or go all the way around through Glendale and come back in. They tried to come up the narrow street and couldn?t make it. It shows on the map that it is the major route up there but when you actually get on to the street, it is barely a car?s width. It was not their fault actually. They ended up being an hour late on the moving day but that was fully understandable.

I'm making an international move from LA to Toronto Canada. The market is flooded with so-called 'experts,' and after reading an equal number of horror stories about stolen property and damaged valuables, I prepared myself to get completely screwed. That's when thought of my *NEW* Angie's list membership -- !! -- and decided to call the Sunshine Boys and find out if they might have some advice, insight, or even a referral for me. Well, Chris was so nice!! He understood how I might feel overwhelmed a bit and confused by the whole process. He didn't have immediate thoughts for me, and -- this is the best part -- even though the Sunshine Boy are local movers, and wouldn't be making any money off me, Chris volunteered to do a little research within his network mover contacts, and see if he couldn't find some information for me, or maybe even point me in the right direction. How f-ing cool is that??? Not only am I really grateful, but I'm hoping there's some way I can return the favor and possibly hire them for a few hours to help me with some of the more fragile packing. I'd love to give these guys my money!
