Gino and his crew were very hard-working, punctual and professional. We are extremely happy with the results and paid a very reasonable price for the services they provided. I would hire Gino again without any hesitation.

The job was completely perfectly one day ahead of schedule and right on budget.
Description of Work: Imperial Remodeling removed two metal plates from my hardwood floor then repaired and replaced damaged pieces of my hardwood floor. They refinished the floors and you cannot tell that there was ever any damage.

It went very well. Gino and his crew were very professional and began the job and completed the work as promised. They were always on time and Gino was at the job site everyday to make sure that the work was done to our satisfaction. My hus band and I were quite impressed with Gino and his crew and would highly recommend him for any remodeling job.

Gino arrived with his crew right on time, and they spared no time investigating the cause of the ridge that the other contractor had left in our ceiling. They were able to cut a small hole in the ceiling area to determine the nature of the problem; then, once they knew that they were dealing with an unnecessary buildup of plaster in the area, they were able to actually scrape away a great deal of the old plaster, re tape the area and then reapply new plaster. The crew was very courteous and took great care not to damage anything nor leave any mess behind, which we greatly appreciated. They were very knowledgeable and made sure to answer any questions we had during the entire process. When they were done, there was no ridge! We are more than impressed with their skills and professionalism! We will definitely use them for our remodeling needs in the future!
Description of Work: When another contractor left a ridge in our ceiling after putting in new drywall, we began calling contractors to see if they could help us redo it. One contractor gave us a fairly high bid and said his company could not fit us in until a week later, and a couple of other contractors told us the job was too small to mess with. When we called Gino at Imperial Remodeling, he responded to our call very quickly and, even though it was a small job, he chose to help anyway! He even offered to do it for a reasonable price.

He was professional, knowlegeable and timely. He shared a lot of information with my wife and me and answered all our questions. We didn't use his services to computer design our bathroom simply because we learned all we needed through speaking with him and needed to reassess our plan to remodel at the time.

It all began with a leaky toilet in a 40 year old house. The water damaged the floor in the bathroom on the second story and flowed down into the bathroom of the first story and ruined the wall. As long as they were going to fix two bathrooms why not fix all three? Due to the age and inconvenience of the layout the kitchen was added to the remodeling and since the family room was connected to the kitchen that was included also. It was difficult to live in a house that had a lot of remodeling going on but Gino tried to be efficient and would try to finish the easiest and quickest sooner before getting to the more disruptive and harder jobs. Gino brought to our attention many good ideas that would be efficient and frugal for each room. He was able to show us diagrams and/or materials of what his thoughts were to make it easier for us to make our decisions. He also brought in many specialists to work on each room. Gino oversaw his staff and worked the job as well. The extras that he did was drive around my mother to show her materials, write down what was needed to be done, thought and tended to things to help us get through the entire remodel, listen to thoughts, concerns and suggestions and removed much of the the debris from the work. Thank you Gino! We are very pleased with how the remodel turned out. It is amazing the transformation. We will use him to remodel in the future!
Description of Work: Remodeled three bathrooms, the kitchen and family room as follows: Bathroom 1- Fixed plumbing and wall, painted walls and added new cabinets and granite counter. Bathroom 2- Moved the toilet to another part of the bathroom, replaced old cabinets with new cabinets and a granite counter, painted walls, replaced a shower with a tub/shower and added a tile floor. Bathroom 3- Replaced the old cabinets and counter with new cabinets and a granite counter, exchanged the tub/ shower with a shower only, painted walls and added a tile floor. Kitchen- Replaced cabinets and counter with new cabinets and a granite counter and sink, opened up the kitchen by removing a divider and securing the main beam, painted walls, exchanged lighting system for updated system and rewired the kitchen for electricity and phone. Family room- Removed popcorn ceiling, added a lighting system to ceiling and painted walls.

My bathroom was flooding each time someone showered. It needed to be repaired. It was almost like suggesting alternate options for the layout (even details) was an argument. I initially had Ginoout to give me ideas in my bathroom, and his work was definitely rushed, sub-par, and overpriced. There were wrinkles left in the wall after he was finished, and he had no interest in trying to fix it. It makes me doubt the legitimacy of the positive reviews he has! Every step of the way was a nightmare. Also, he told me his foreman was a plumber, but he's not -- it was a lie. He's just a guy that knows a little about basic plumbing. I had to pay another $7000 to get more work done after I already paid him over $14,000. As soon as he started the bathroom job, he started pushing really hard for me to do the kitchen remodel as well. I told him I would wait and see how the bathroom turned out. As the bathroom turned out increasingly bad, he realized that I was not going to have him do the kitchen and he started being incredibly short with me. The nail in the coffin is that he never even did the Big Deal design! This letter should explain everything.... Dear Gino: I am truly sorry that we have reached an impasse on the completion of my bathroom project. I want to take this opportunity to express my concerns about the progression of this project for which I have paid you, the contractor. I hired you after answering an add on Angie?s List for Custom Bath Design with Complete 3D renderings for $49.99. According to your add, the rendering included: ?Complete measurements, floor plan design, cabinet design, tile design, and lighting design.? I never received this design from you and feel if you had completed it, we both may have had a better understanding of where the project was going. On August 26, the day the project was to begin your crew did not show up. Frequently they did not show up until 10-11 am or later and only worked a half day. I feel your foreman and the workers have done a very good job. I must say that you did come to the job when the crew was working on most days. You gave me a list of what I needed to purchase for the project. I purchased everything and all items were delivered by the 6th day of work. You did not feel it was your responsibility to pick up the toilet I ordered, so I picked it up. I feel you were inflexible with the project from the beginning and only wanted to do the project according to your own template without asking me or listening to what plan I would like. You are great at communicating what you want to do however I feel you did not listen to my requests. Ex: I told you I wanted special coated glass for the shower door and you were very resistant even though I told you I would pay the extra cost. My impression was that you had never heard of this type of glass. Although, the workers did install the glass I wanted I believe it was only after my repeated insistence that was what I wanted. The contract stated you would install a new Panasonic fan and heater in the ceiling. I was very happy to be rid of the 55 year old wall heater. The electrician did his preliminary work installing what I thought was a heater/fan. One day you asked me what I wanted to do with my wall heater and I said toss it and cover the hole. That was when you informed me the electrician had only installed a fan that there was not enough room in the ceiling to install the heater. You did not discuss the change and proceeded to install the fan only without presenting me with options. You told me the fan cost the same as a heater/fan and you did not want to lose money by installing a wall heater. One of your options was to complete the bathroom with no heater at all. You became very angry and told me repeatedly that Home Depot does not have wall heaters in the store (which I knew from my research however, you can purchase them on line) and that you never install wall heaters only the ones in ceiling. You gave me the impression you actually do not know how to install a wall heater. You then told me to go online and purchase a heater and you would install it. I continued to insist that you were the contractor and the project manager and that you should take care of the problem. After a great deal of arguing you agreed to purchase a heater. That afternoon the electrician arrived with a wall heater. When the crew removed the existing mirror in the bathroom we both discovered there was an existing outlet for an overhead vanity light which was covered by the mirror so you were able to use the existing electrical. I wanted an outlet under the vanity and on the right side of the sink as it would be more convenient since I am right handed. You told me there would be an extra charge because you would only install the GFI into an existing outlet as per contract however that is not what is stated in the contract. The contract states:?Install 4 recessed lights with one GFI outlet.? Nothing is stated about installing the GFI in an existing outlet. You instructed the electrician to put a GFI into the existing outlet (although I told you I did not even want that outlet) and then you charged me $240.00 for the other two GFI outlets. As result, my tiny bathroom had three GFI outlets. You had the electrician place the GFI on the right side of the sink at the same level as the existing outlet on the left, approximately 18? above the sink and approximately 36? apart. On the day the vanity was installed, the foreman informed me the 46? mirror, purchased as part of the vanity set, could not fit horizontally above the cabinet as I wanted because the GFI?s were only 36? apart and the mirror was 46? wide. It was then suggested the mirror be placed vertically but then the light over the vanity would have to be raised. I called you to let you know and you began to rage at me over the phone suggesting it was somehow my fault. I can give you a copy of the paper where I wrote down all of the measurements for the vanity, vessel, and mirror. You were completely out of control. I am sorry if you are having problems however it is extremely unprofessional to take it out on your client. You threatened to take your crew off the project and take me to court. Two days later I asked you to come to the house so we could discuss the problem. I asked you to let me talk and tell you the pros and cons of moving the outlets or the vanity light and you complied. I measured everything and we agreed the only answer was to lower the right outlet and cover the left outlet with the mirror. You then ask me to split the cost of lowering the outlet for $150.00. The bathroom now has two GFI outlets where I originally wanted them and you are still charging me an extra $230 even though the contract states you would install one GFI. Since the original outlet cannot be used, you have not provided me with a GFI outlet as per the contract and I believe you need the split the cost of the $230. In addition, I was not responsible for the outlets being placed incorrectly and do not believe I am responsible for the lowering charge of $150. As of Saturday September 21, we were nearing completion of the project. The sink and faucets were installed and the foreman attempted to install the sprayer when he discovered that the sprayer needed a separate valve which should have been done at the time the plumbing was moved to the other wall. You knew from day 1, I wanted the sprayer with arm installed. I guess I should not have assumed that my contractor was on top of this. According to you Gino, the wall in the closet would need to be opened up and another line would need to be run with another valve. I offered to buy the valve. You seem to feel this job would take one more day. We are now into week 5 of a 2-3 week job. In rereading the contract it clearly states ?Customer will provide the vanity with counter, faucets for shower and sink, medicine cabinet, mirror, light fixture, towel holder, toilet holder or any other. Contractor will install it all.? I was confident you at least looked over the items over you requested I purchase and perhaps you should have given me options on how things could be installed. I am afraid I placed too much confidence in your ability. We talked today and you told me in order to complete the job correctly a plumber would charge $800. You told me your cost would be $500. After being repeatedly worn down with this project, I told you I would pay for half. You refused my offer. That offer is no longer on the table. When you asked me to pay for the two extras I wanted, the shower doors and GFIs, I agreed to pay you. However when you gave me a price of $550.00 to install and paint a $34.00 bathroom door, I don?t feel I can trust that you are not overcharging and trying to take advantage of me. You have told me repeatedly you are concerned you are not making enough money on this job but I feel this letter demonstrates poor planning and incompetence and I seem to be expected to pay the price. If in fact you underbid this project, I cannot be responsible for that. I am more than happy to fulfill my responsibilities and I feel I have done that by purchasing all the items to go in the bathroom in a timely manner and paying you according to the scheduled payment plan in the contract. In spite of all our disagreements, I hope you will fulfill your contractual obligations and complete the project as planned to the client?s satisfaction. I know your reputation is important to you and I hope you will think this over and complete your obligation by Saturday, October 28. Kathie McKee In addition, Gino assured me that he had replaced the trap from my shower however, the plumber who replaced the pipes said the trap had not been replaced.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. That was a horrible experience. It was a nightmare. He came out, he was not a contractor he is a designer. I specifically told him please do not go to Home Depot to bring that into my house. He was supposed to do the floor and then he came in and basically was giving us other ideas about our kitchen. Thirty thousand dollars later our cable was cut, we had our new tub scratched, our plumbing messed up that we just had installed. They used my ladder and painted over it. I can't even begin to tell you. We were without heat for over a month because they cut the wires to the thermostat. Everything this man did he did not want to take responsibility for. He had to replace the hardwood flooring. That's was really the reason why he was here. None of the other stuff. But he's a smooth talker and with the guarantee that these men were people that he knew that worked for his company, which was an absolute lie, all of the men came clean in the end. The man that's his foreman owns his own company. They damaged an $8,000 door. They took my door off and threw it in the yard. I begged them to please be careful. My door now has permanent damage. At the beginning of the hardwood floor job I asked him to see the laminate floors. He kept stalling. It was at the end of the job, he was asking my Mother for money for the hardwood floors. I said you are not getting another job until I see the hardwood floors. We had not even picked a color and you are asking for payment. At the last minute he went to his trunk and he pulls out pretty much the same thing that I had. He said that would be another $1600. I said that's not what the contract says. He had me re-write a contract the way it should have been written the first time. He is not a contractor, he does not know how to write his own contracts and he is just horrible. I'll heater is still torn from the wall. They said that they would clean up, they destroyed my yard. I had plaster and concrete poured into my roses, poured into my crawl space areas. I had to fight with him. He was not organized. No matter what you tell him he will say my guys didn't do that. I wouldn't send him into a dog's house let alone a real person's house. If I could I would sue him for fraud for one. For all the lying and all the craziness, it was insanity. I told him you told me you would be here when these men were working, I told you if you bring a bunch of Spanish speaking people here who can not speak English I'm going to be pissed. And I speak Spanish, so I was pissed. The plumber ended up being a guy who lives around the corner from me, the plumber has his own business, his own contractor's license. It was just a joke.

I had a very good experience and great results with IMPERIAL REMODELING INC. My home looks beautiful and the work that was done is superb. Gino and his crew were professional, very easy to work with, and fast. They are all experts in their fields (e.g., tiling, lighting, etc.). I appreciated that Gino brought me ideas, samples and went out of his way to make us happy. Another good thing about Gino is that he is very meticulous with the work that was done so he made sure everything turned out as expected (as if it were his own home). I would have never dreamed my house could look so good so the job that Gino and his crew did exceeded my expectations.
Description of Work: I had my entire home done. Ceilings, floors, kitchen, bathrooms, windows, interior lighting (LED), painting, new baseboards. I used beautiful bamboo throughout the house. Porcelain tile in kitchen and bathrooms with new cabinetry and caesarstone countertops. New double paned windows throughout, new shutters, new French door.

We met with Gino (he was prompt & nice, although a bit of a "hard-seller" telling me that we should replace our cabinets, which were recently refinished). He took measurements, immediately informed me that he doesn't receive any money from the Angie's List deal, and proceeded to quote me $6,000 for the installation of 42 sq. ft. new quartz countertop and about 10 sq. ft. of back-splash (he provides the quartz countertop, and we provide the Heath subway tiles). After talking a bit more, he pointed out that our existing counter had been glued to the cabinets, thus requiring our cabinets to be 'framed out' for the new counter top; this meant our quote would be increased to $6,500. Upon meeting with other contractors, we quickly found that his quote of $6,500 for installation of 42 sq. ft. of countertop is more than double what other contractors are bidding for the same job. When I told him as much, he (very politely) advised me that his quote was justified, as he does quality work. I don't doubt this at all, but the contractor whom we hired did an excellent job, and it cost us only a third of what Gino bid for the same work.

Gino came to my house and suggested some remodeling ideas for my kitchen. He then showed me a kitchen remodel in my neighborhood that he was doing in order that I could see his work. His computer designer then came to my house and put together the 3D drawing of what my new kitchen would look like. Gino then gave me his best bid for the job. I obtained two other bids for the job, and unfortunately, Gino's was the highest bid. After factoring in many other considerations, I opted to go with another contractor for the job. Gino was very professional and the work he showed me in the house he was working on in the neighborhood was beautiful.

Geno was exceptional to work with. He was punctual, professional and very easy to talk to. My wife and I discussed our desires in upgrading our 3 rooms, and Geno offered his recommendations, and provided us a quote on those recommendations. Although his recommendations were reasonable for the upgrades, and the use of 'common materials' was included, many items required additional expense for us (i.e., plumbing fixtures). In the end, we negotiated his "Best Price", which far exceeded our allowable budget. I have since obtained numerous contractors to support my projects, and have been able to bring a broader spectrum of material qualities, and products into my rework, and have been able to hold costs much closer to my budget allowance. I'm hoping the quality of my finished projects meets the expectations we would have had for Geno's work, based on his promises and examples of work completed.
Description of Work: Geno provided a cost estimate and some ideas for remodel of two bathrooms, and counter/backsplash upgrade in kitchen. He followed up several times trying to garner our work.

Gino was very hands on and had some good layout ideas. I was told by other contractors that my wood floors needed to be replaced, but he was able them down and stain. They look amazing. His crew was great, particularly the tile guy and foreman. You must keep on him for your own personal taste and tiny details with all items during each phase of the project. I wish I had paid closer attention to the end of project clean-up, as I'm still throwing away pieces of concrete a few weeks after they finished. Overall, I'm very happy with the work.
Description of Work: Remodeled kitchen, bathroom, laundry area, installed tankless water heater and refinished floors.

In terms of professionalism, i.e.. . timeliness ;quality, knowledge, customer service this firm gets an A+ from us . After some 26 yrs of of living in our home in Glendale it came time to upgrade our kitchen. Being new to Angies list this was our first time to use Angie to aid in the selection., We are really happy we did.. Over the years we have had many providers come to our home for one reason or the other but I can't stress enough .how by far good customer service was rendered by Imperial (incl all members of Gino's team).. The were some minor glitches along the way through no fault of Imperial but Gino, the owner, kept us informed daily and every step of the way. He even had his crew come in and work on a Saturday and Sunday to keep on schedule--, How impressive -. Gino really keeps thing on track and continually is interested in our understanding and approval of events/ .My wife and I certainly recommend this company and have no issue about using them in the future .

I called IMPERIAL REMODELING and I spoke to Gino. He was professional and punctual. He did not do any work for me so I cannot comment on his work. I cannot not say if I would use him in the future, because he did not perform any work for me. I interviewed many contractors, but I went with the cheaper bid.

hWe called GIno about new kitchen cabinets and sink for the kitchen, plus new flooring for the living room and (long) hallway. He gave us many suggestions and ideas, some of which we had never considered. He first gave us an estimate on exactly what we wanted and we agreed. However as we continued to talk he made some additional suggestions, some of which we accepted. He then gave us an estimate on the whole project. The cost and what was included were made very clear, as was the payment schedule etc. We were able to pick the wood and flooring that day. Gino gave us an estimate of 4 weeks, but the project was done in less than 3 weeks. Gino was on-site each day to be sure everything was going as planned. The workers were polite, on-time and cooperative. I would have been happy to have them around any family member (not always the case in past work). As the work progressed some of the subcontractors made suggestions, some of which we liked. There was no pressure to do the extra work. It was our choice. On one part of the project we had a concern and called Gino. It was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. At the end of the remodeling work we were less than satisfied with the floor molding. We called Gino and the work was completed quickly and to our satisfaction. Gino was very communicative and always listened to our questions.. His answers were clear and he always followed through on what we asked. We will call him again when we do further work and will recommend him to our friends.

Initially he came and went through the entire house and performed / measured the area and then provided with us a detailed estimate then and there and after a day or so we made a decision to go-ahead with Imperial remodeling and they started the work and we made the payments as per the work and they were able to complete the job within the budget / estimate that was provide and with the timeline that was committed to us. The Quality of work was excellent and the workman ship of the people who worked @ the site was really amazing.

I found Gino and Imperial Remodeling through Angie's List. He came out and gave me an estimate. We got a few other estimates and his was competitive. We decided to go with him. He came back with samples for the wood floor and we began the contract/paperwork. He was very professional, he was great with communication and he did good work. A few days later he'd have the material delivered and a few days after that he'd have it installed. We had to push back the installation because of an unrelated issue, and he had no problem accommodating us. He did everything he said he would. This was a good find.
