They arrived on time after giving written estimate. Four jobs were done in one day, a little faster than expected. Quality work included assembly of heavy dresser. Would hire again.

I went to Home Advisor to find a carpenter to install crown molding in a 10'x12' bedroom. The only option in my area was Handyman Connection. They called me and sent a carpenter to give me a labor estimate on the install. The carpenter took measurements, spent about 15 minutes in the room, then went to his truck for another 10 minutes or so before I got a labor quote. I thought it was odd that an experienced carpenter could not give me a quote on a simple 4-wall bedroom without going to his truck to figure it out. The company owner called me to see how the appointment went and I told her the carpenter did not seem to be comfortable with crown molding. She sent me another carpenter with nearly 40 years experience. I hired the second carpenter, he was able to take one look at the room and gave me an immediate labor quote. Feeling good about my decision to hire the more experienced carpenter, I was excited to see the room finished. To my astonishment, it took the carpenter 10 hours to install the crown molding in the small 10'x12' bedroom. When I checked out the work before he left, I was stunned to see one of the worst crown molding installs in my home to date. When I questioned the carpenter why the molding did not line up in the corners, he said because the walls are not straight. Not only did the corners not match, the molding was at different heights so the lines on the molding do not match. While it is true my walls are not straight, the fact is, no walls are straight. It would be a rarity to find a room in any house that has perfect 90 degree angles. The carpenter added so much caulking to close the gaps, that were as much as an inch wide, that 24 hours later the caulk is still wet. The seams on the straight part of the walls overlapped leaving noticeable raised bumps. Aside from the sloppy work, the carpenter left a filthy mess for me to clean up. The crown molding, ceiling, walls, wood floor, closet doors, and baseboards were all damaged with nicks, scraps, scratches, and dirt. He dropped something against the closet doors that bent the hardware holding the door in the track, now the doors do not close. I must now spent several days patching and sanding the molding to attempt to get a more uniform look, as well as repair the damage to the baseboards, floor, doors, molding, and walls. I am disappointed to say the least. I really thought I was getting a carpenter with lots of experience with crown molding installation and what I got was amateur work at best. My husband, a non-carpenter, could have done a better job. We hired a professional because neither my husband nor I are carpenters.

Work was promptly done and at a time when it was difficult to find someone to do the work as soon as possible. The handyman was very courteous, helpful and very professional.I would call these guys again for future projects.

All of the workers did very good work. They were friendly and cleaned up after themselves. They built a gate, painted, installed a new door handle and lock and fixed our roof. All in all I was very pleased. It was reasonably priced and will use them again when I need their services. Would recommend them to anybody requiring their services.
