My 3 year old 3 ton Lennox A.C. was not cooling. It had all the symptoms of low refrigerant. The labor warrentee had expired and I learned that freon is not covered. The installer, (Service Champions) would not give any indication of possible cost to repair, even though I asked to talk to a tech, or manager. I spent an uncomfortable couple of weeks of my free time to research a qualified company for the repair. I talked to several Lennox approved dealers and determined leak detection could cost $285 to $592, freon could cost $50 per pound to $160 for 1st lb. and $60 / lb. after. Depending who I talked to, my system could take 4 to 10 pounds.Klaus & Sons said service call, $95. would probably find problem and freon is $25. / lb. My bill was $200, including 3 lbs. freon. The problem was poor workmanship by the original installer, an improperly tightened valve, (like the air valve on a car tire). I complained to Lennox and Service Champions, to their credit S.C. is sending me $200 for the repair, but of course it does not cover the day I spent off work and the time spent on research, for a problem that should have never happened. I believe if S.C. had done the repair, I would not know the cause, and the cost would be much greater.

There was no cost as he was able to turn the water off to prevent a leak. Fred was wonderful I had used him in the past. I will use him in the future as well.

Very good. He was on time, performed the replacement, was very courteous.

They were on time and the guy was very polite. He gave suggestions on how to reduce the amount of water use in the toilet. Very professional.

They did a great job. They came in, diagnosed and fixed the problem right away. It's been running great since. I was impressed and would recommend them.

The day after Christmas we could hear water running in our hall closet, could not see any water but the floor under carpet and tile was warm. We called our usual plumber and several others but due to holiday had no answer to our call. I checked Angies list and decided to try Klaus and sons, a live person answered immediately and had serviceman Fred there within 2 hours to diagnose "Slab leak" He told us what to do with hot water heater for the night and returned first thing in the morning with "Leak dectection" equipment and found the leak, jackhammered the concrete, repaired the leak, patched the concrete and cleaned up. He was kind, professional and although it was a lot of money to spend the day after Christmas the issue was fixed.

The experience was fine and was within my expectations. They seemed like a solid professional group and I will use them again in the future.

Klaus and Sons went beyond the call of duty to help us save our original 1935 bathroom sinks and tile. Klaus Sr. spent extra time and effort getting out our old rusted valves and seats out in order to be able to replace them and keep our sinks. When cutting the original tile they minimized the damage as much as possible. The entire team was friendly, honest, respectful, punctual and responsible. The work was completed right on schedule. They did a great job cleaning up and the patching of our 1935 plaster walls was excellent. Jesse Klaus (the project manager) was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend Klaus and Sons to anyone!!!!!!!

I don't remember the exact price since I'm writing this report almost 8 months later. But... our outside combination unit of 5 tons wouldn't produce heat. After several companies gave us quotes on repair vs replacement we chose Klaus because they had installed an air conditioning condenser on another unit appox. 3 years before and we were happy with the results then and their estimate happened to be one of the lowest.As soon as the heat was turned on, we felt a difference in the air blowing through the vents. When we started using the air conditioning we noticed a decrease in our electric bill from the previous year and our house is being kept cooler than before.The unit they installed had a smaller footprint than the previous unit and an adjustment was needed because of the air intake and outflow sheet metal.duct work. Everything was done flawlessly !

Owner of K&S came out and performed thorough estimate, making recommendations for heating/cooling improvements along the way. Provided consultative approach and did not oversell (recommended I didn't undertake another project that would have amounted in more money for his firm because it was not a good fit for my house). Delivered a bid a few days later that was very competitive and his team completed the work as stated within a few days. Air flow was not optimal upon completion, and the team came back out for about and 1.5 hours to adjust ducts (which they didn't install during first visit), and not air flow and system is excellent. All and all, a favorable experience.

Called early Tuesday morning; plumber arrived on schedule 2 hours later and cleaned drain in 15 minutes. Very professional, punctual, etc. No complaints whatsoever!

It went without a hitch. The salesman gave us a start date two weeks from time of signing as some key employee was on vacation. They started on the agreed on date, had the heater and a/c unit ready to go and installation proceeded just as salesman said it would. Te unit is working perfectly, and does everything they said it would.

They are honest and charge a fair price. They are the best!

I've used this company many times over the past two years, probably spent over $4,000 with them. Initially i was happy with them because they actually did a sewer line replacement for less money than they originally quoted. i've since found that not all of their employees are trustworthy. i recently had a technician come to look at a roof air conditioning unit that was leaking. the klaus representative wanted me to replace the entire unit, a job that would have cost thousands. and this was after the company had twice fixed it costing me $500-plus. i ended up having another repairman come in. he made some minor tweaks for $60 and the leaking was solved.

I have no complaints. Klaus & Sons performed the service I required professionally and timely.

The people from Klaus and Sons showed up on time and sent around four people to complete the job. They worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after they were done. I didn't have them do any of the patchwork because I was in the middle of a remodel and would do that myself. They were friendly and didn't mind me watching them work. The price was the same as the estimate that they gave me for the labor and parts. Great workers, I would hire them again for my plumbing and HVAC needs.

He was great! The previous day, a different plumber was over and spent over an hour trying to figure out what was wrong. His conclusion was that I should tear out part of the wall so that he could see if the root of the problem was behind it. Not surprisingly, with an answer like that, I didn't call him back! The Klaus and Sons plumber quickly diagnosed the problem with a simple explanation -- old faucet cartridges -- and the problem was solved in under an hour!

The tech showed up on time, looked at the replacement toilet and determined that it would not fit the space without modifications to the wall. He then packed up and left saying to call him back when the modifications were made. No charge for the call. Since I had to remove the existing toilet to make the modifications, and would have to wait until at least the next Monday for installation, I went ahead and did the job myself. I will call them soon to replace some faucets (no modification to the structure will be needed this time).

Emergency service call late at night. I was able to reach someone at the office at midnight, but my first call wasn't returned promptly. After a second call, a plumber called me back promptly. After I spoke with him, he was here in about 15 minutes and fixed everything quickly and professionally. A bit expensive, but it was a late-night call and the plumber warned me that it would be.

The worker arrived on time and was friendly and professional. I would definitely call them again.

I called multiple companies and all quoted aroudn $500 and were not very nice. The folks at Klaus were very nice, did a great job and were the best price by quite a bit.

Gene arrived 30 minutes before the estimated time (estimate was 11-3, arrived at 10:30) and began working immediately. He quickly determined the initial problem - coil was very dirty and had caused the A/C unit to draw more power than it was rated for, tripping the breaker. Reset the breaker and cleaned out the coil. He then added additional freon to the system. He checked all of the ducts to make sure they were clean and clear, and made sure the A/C was working correctly before he wrote up the work order for the bill. Service was swift and professional, I am most impressed that everything he used or moved he put back into its original place.

Klaus's plumbers made it out within hours of my phone call to them, and arrived right on time. I just moved into a 60-year-old home with dangerously deferred maintenance, so I had an extensive list of things for them to look at: sprinklers, water lines, gas lines, washer/dryer hook-ups, leak, gas starter for fireplace. They checked everything out thoroughly, and capped off a gas valve. The whole visit was only $85.

I'm pretty happy with them overall. They did a good job and it didn't take very long, but was unhappy with the price. He was only here about a half an hour.

They worked from 8:30am until 3:30 pm. cutting through the floor in the bathroom, jackhammering through the slab, digging up the bad pipe to the septic tank in two areas and replacing the pipe. They hydrojetted all of the pipes, and hooked up my washer. They then patched the concrete and cleaned up the entire mess, including the patio. Previous estimates from other plumbers were $7,000, $23,000, and "I can't fix it". Dan and his crew were the lowest price with the best work ethic. You can't beat that.
