Problems fixed quickly. Then technician basically asked what other worked was needed. That's okay. We had some other plumbing work that needed doing. They obviously needed the work by asking and that the tech had the time. That was disconcerting. Tech ended up incorrectly overcharging a job by some $300. With some delving into the details of the invoice and strong complaining, the ended up having the owner come by to tend to our concerns. Another job I found highly overpriced. A few weeks later, found tech did one job incorrectly. I won't be so quick to hire them again.

My husband and I were tired of the inefficiency of our AC. While the unit itself was operable, the system just wasn't working for us. We were constantly scrambling for ideas to make our home more comfortable but keep our energy costs reasonable. At around the same time we decided to replace our taxed water hear we decided to look into having our attic insulated. We had a couple of quotes on the attic insulation and I felt like the bids sounded "gimicky" trying to sell us services and products I didn't really feel that we needed. My husband thought of Klaus and Sons and made the call (at around 530pm no less) and they were out the next day. John listened to our energy concerns, got a feel for what we really needed, surveyed our attic, and talked with us about our options for a solid two hours. His knowledge and expertise was absolutely unmatched. Literally unmatched, not a single contractor explained or suggested the solutions that John laid out for us. We were so comfortable with the solutions that he suggested that we signed the contract immediately. Each person who has worked in our house throughout the process has taken their time to do the job thoroughly and correctly. They absolutely pride themselves on a job well done and it shows. They have worked tirelessly, neatly, and efficiently, but I've been most impressed with how well they all work together. This is a company that operates like a well-oiled machine. Everyone communicates clearly, they have a common goal of satisfaction for a job done right. We've been hugely satisfied with the work that Klaus and Sons has done in our home. Thorough is the best word I can use to describe the manner in which this company works. They have worked above and beyond the scope we expected. We're not only pleased with the level of skill, professionalism, and expertise of Klaus and Sons but we're almost indescribably more comfortable. There is a measurable difference in the way that our AC system operates. Our house is cooler, more comfortable, the airflow is vastly improved, and the system is running smoother and more efficiently than ever before. The only thing I regret about this process is the money and the time we wasted before realizing the magic that Klaus and Sons delivered. ***I would be remiss not to mention that mid-AC improvement I asked if they might be interested in removing our fireplace and opening up our house a bit. This was previously only a dream to me. The fireplace was nothing short of a monolith. It was a huge, solid rock structure. Not like the type of rock fireplaces you might see in a cabin, not a rock facade, these rocks were huge. Floor to ceiling with cantilevered concrete hearths on each side (yes, it was a two-sided beast) and about twelve feet across opening into the living room and kitchen. While interesting and unique, it really never suited the style of our home and was also non-functional as it had no damper/flue and only filled our home with smoke on the few occasions we opted to use it over the years. We'd discussed cosmetic options previously and even consulted with concrete/masonry contractors to see if they might be able to improve, if not remove, it. It seemed insurmountable to us for so long. When I asked John whether it was something they might be willing to tackle he responded that while it would be a job that it was nothing they couldn't handle. They handled it! The difference is amazing; we now have better airflow, more open, updated, cleaner, and just a completely improved state of our home.

I filled out their contact form on their website stating I had an emergency. The form required I leave both my phone number and my email address. It's been 9 hours and this company still hasn't contacted me. I gave up and called another company who had someone here within an hour.

This is my third experience with Klaus & Sons, and I continue to be extremely satisfied. They are punctual, pleasant to work with, are tidy, and fairly reasonably priced. On this particular occasion, the young man's name is Charlie. He was respectful to this senior citizen, and ultimately took care of a poorly functioning toilet at a time when he was on-call (a Saturday.) He could very well have put me off to another day, but he was very kind and took care of me that day. He was very patient and answered all my questions and did everything he could (I think) to try and avoid replacing the toilet. But that's what it ultimately came down to. So even though I wasn't prepared to spend $500+ on plumbing that day, the experience wasn't as bad as it could have been had I not received such good customer care. I sing the praises of Klaus and Sons. I think they do a good job for a fair price and their people are pleasant to work with. Give them a try!

Day one, only able to work 2hours due to my schedule, narrowed the problem down to one area. Day 2 Andrews day off, sent Charles sorry but the problem got much worse while he was here. Day ¾ weekend, called office as asked for Andrew, he came Monday and fixed all the problems in just 1 hour. Knows what he is doing, he said I may need more work in the future which I expected, all and all good, quick, helpful service.

It's pretty good. I haven't had to call them since we've had our heating and plumbing. They did such a beautiful job, we didn't have to call them back. They were really nice. I really like them. I would recommend them to anybody. They're always right there on time. If they're going to be late, they always call and let you know that they've been delayed for some reason or another but that doesn't happen too often. They're very considerate. If I was going to have anything done to my kitchen remodeling, plumbing, air conditioning and heating, they would be the ones that I would call.

They were professional. He always kept in contact with me. I haven't had any problems with them. They are pretty responsive. He always calls me back. I guess I must have had his cell because I was always able to call him back and he will pick up the line. He has more of a problem with my scheduling because I was in trial when this all happened. He had to work around my schedule. The only I wish they did more of, is work weekends, at least one weekend of the month. It is kind of hard to take off two days of work to have somebody to do that. It takes two to three days to install. Another day when they come out to check the final work especially if your getting it through California program that I use they will do one more check to make sure it is done properly. They was here for like at least two hours at the most but just waiting around. That took half my work day too.

On time, on budget, get care in their work and service.

He showed up on time and was very knowledgeable. He discussed many options and gave me price quotes for the different options. I chose another provider with a lower bid to complete the work. I would call Klaus and Sons back to bid on work in the future.

2 technicians arrived promptly and were THE BEST. They were both polite and respectful. They worked non-stop and answered all my questions about the installation. I can't praise them enough. It was refreshing to see young men who worked hard and were pleasant to deal with. Working with Klaus and Sons was an excellent experience starting with Dan, and ending with Junior and Ronnie. They will definitely get all my future business. I highly recommend them.

They are very professional, very people friendly. They do an excellent job. I would highly recommend them. They are very honest.

Marino was the tech who responded both times. He had 28 years experience per out conversation and it showed. Not only did he replace the part, but tightened all connections in a/c and furnace housing and at the compressor. To me, he checked the whole system which was above and beyond for the repair. He took pride in his work. He also cleaned the compressor and added a some gas to meet spec.s. I didn't have a leak, he used digital equipment which was much more sensitive than the equipment from 10 years ago. He explained everything and answered my questions. I had taken apart the motor and noted the thermistor was burnt. He explained they no longer replace/solder parts due to insurance and liability. This does make sense in these litigeous times, but I did keep the original motor to repair in case the new one blows out in the future. The last one made it 10 years, so I hope this one does also. The motor came with a 1 yr. warranty. Lastly, the additional gas and compressor service were all included in the $1050. I was expecting to pay more, but that was the out the door price. I felt Marino knew what he was doing, was polite, professional, and answered all my questions without bother. I will ask for him the next time I need service. Its nice to watch someone who really knew what they were doing. This company put in a new a/c heating in a condo that I own. They did a good job then, and as I was happy with their service, I called them for this job.

The job went beautifully...They were quick to schedule someone to come out, and then two workers showed up promptly. Despite all the cutting away of the wall and the cutting of pipes, they left the work area very clean and there was no damage at all to the tiling in the shower. The new showerhead was tested out in my presence & there was no more leak. Since a wall had been torn up to get to the pipes, we were scheduled to have a plasterer come out later (included in our repair cost) to do the patch work--and we were extremely pleased with that work as well. Everyone involved in the repair was very polite, professional & competent.

This was kind of a big job and when they came they brought a new machine that their owner had bought, which helps put the new sewer line in. It is state of the art, which was very nice. It made the job go quicker. They get proper permits. I was there when one of the city inspectors where there and they guys told me that they never have any problems with inspectors because they work with them and they do the work properly. The materials were the latest materials for sewer lines. This is actually a grade above PVC. They only had to make a small whole by the house, which actually was conveniently mostly the flowerbed. They did not have to dig up the whole driveway, which has been paved and they had to open up the street. A subcontractor comes and does that and they replaced it. The top of the paving over the area that they used was very well done. Other people have commented on it. It is actually the strongest part of the street. So they have state of the art equipment and technicians and they stick closely within the city code to conduct the work. They are very responsive. We always call them out for any plumbing issue and now I don't have to call them out very much, because the main drain is not going to clog.

Everything went really well. When I first talked to Dan regarding an estimate for the work, I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and willingness to discuss different options for my particular situation. He provided information on utility rebates and tax credits that offset the higher cost of a more efficient system, which I selected. He even included AHRI spec sheets on the proposed system options, which was another factor in my decision. I had an estimate from another AC contractor who had been recommended to me, but I felt much more comfortable with the system and the level of detail that Dan included in his estimate. The removal of the old system and installation of the new system was done in two days, with some testing and adjustments done the third day, just as Dan had told me when I contracted with him. The technicians arrived on time and worked hard, paying a lot of attention to detail. They were all very experienced and everything they did was clean and looked carefully done. Whenever I had questions on the installation, they were courteous and gave me good explanations. They spent a lot of time verifying the performance of the system after installation, including checking the new air duct system for leaks. They were very willing to show me all the testing procedures and the results. This gave me a lot of confidence in their work. So far the heating and the AC systems work great. This summer I will find out how much the high efficiency AC system and new ductwork will save me in utility bills.

They showed up at the appointed time. Did the agreed work in a workmanship fashion. They cleaned up after themselves and left my home neat and tidy.

I had a clogged kitchen sink. No clean out. had couple of plumbers come out who werent able to successfully snake the drain. one even did a camera investigation and told me I needed to knock out concrete etc to clear the block. I got a second opinion from Fred at Klaus and Sons. Fred was professional, very knowledgeable, reassuring. He was able to snake the drain and clear the block!!! Amazing how different plumber experiences can make... I would not hesitate to hire Fred over and over again. He is going to be my go to plumber from now on.

I called for service on August 9th. it was a particularly hot week and they were very busy and the earliest they could come was August 13th. I made an appointment for that date. On August 13th the technician arrived and inspected the unit. He determined that the unit was very low on coolant and added coolant to the system. The technician noted that the low coolant level was probably an indication of a leak somewhere in the system. He said that it would take approximately 2 hours to diagnose the problem and that he didn't have time to do it that day due to other service calls. He said we should call their office to set up a follow-up visit. We called the office and set up the suggested appointment. On the date of the appointment the technician never showed. We called the office and they said that they had made a mistake and failed to assign our appointment to a technician. They set up another appointment for a future date. When this next appointment date arrived, the technician did not arrive until after the scheduled appointment window and did not know the nature of the problem. He examined the equipment and again reported that he did not have enough time available to perform the diagnostics that was the basis of the service appointment. The technician apologized and said that he would have the office schedule another appointment with us to perform the work. A week has passed since that last visit and we still have not heard from the office about the scheduling of this appointment.

Called for an estimate and was met at the house for a quick walk through. The following day I received 3 price quotes for different systems for me to choose from. Each system also qualified for different rebates from the manufacturer and SCE. I selected the system I wanted and ordered the equipment and submitted all paperwork for the rebates on my behalf. Once they received pre-approval from SCE verifying that my home and new equipment qualified for the rebate, they scheduled the installation. The crew was very nice and professional. I was told that we would not have air working until the second day of installation, but the crew managed to get the air running at the end of the first day. That was a huge relief because the temperature during those 2 days hit highs of 106 degrees. I was very satisfied with the installation. The new system cools the house better and I immediately saw a significant reduction in my electricity consumption each day.
