Description of Work: Mike was the service tech for all three visits to the house. He was great. Smart. A real problem solver. It took three visits because we logically thought the first problem had to do with simply flushing the tankless heater. Turns out an entire memory board needed to be replaced. Was the original work therefore unnecessary? Given the configuration of the tankless heater, I don't believe so. My only complaint is that I was charged 80.00 for the 2nd visit, where I was told I would need a new memory board. Simply put, it was yet another diagnostic visit. I feel that given the cost of the previous and subsequent repairs, it was unfair that the 80.00 visit fee wasn't folded into my bill.

Description of Work: The day before Water Heaters Only was called, we had a disaster in the garage. A connecting hose to our 20-year-old (plus) water heater split, spraying water all over. It was hours before we discovered it. Our usual plumber was able to come within a short period of time, and fixed the problem. But he told us that our ancient water heater, which had served us amazingly well, could go at any time, and was not up to code in several areas. He gave us an estimate for a new water heater plus installation, but we thought it to be a bit high at over $1,500. That is when we shopped Angie's List and discovered Water Heaters Only's special deal of $300 worth of service for $150. They were able to send a technician out the very next day, and gave me a two-hour window. Mark arrived within the first half-hour of that window, and did a thorough inspection of the old water heater, detailing everything that needed to be done in writing, along with the cost. He had the appropriate size heater on the truck with him, which was exactly the brand that my plumber had told me he would use. Mark was available to do the job immediately, and I was relieved to be able to get the situation handled so quickly. He told me that the water heater stand which my plumber had told me was not up to code actually is, cleaned it off, and saved me some money. He explained everything in layman's terms very clearly, showed me the features on my new heater, and explained how the features work. He did everything that my plumber had told me that I needed, and even more, adding two drainage outlets through the rear garage wall, and securing the stand to the wall by bolting two 2x 4s. He did the same for the heater, with wood which he fit to size on the spot. He moved the gas shut-off valve to a much more convenient spot on the flex line to the side of the heater, rather than behind it, where it had been. He took the old heater away and even swept the debris in the garage. I am extremely pleased with the service provided by Water Heaters Only, and give them my highest recommendation.

Description of Work: They were contacted by my home warranty company on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and could not come out until the following Tuesday. My warranty company assigned it to another company that came out the same day.

Description of Work: I called them on a Sunday and they did the work on Memorial Day so that was something no one else would do. Installation was quick and clean. It's been working well since then.

Description of Work: They installed a new water heater in my garage. They installed it the same day I called and their price was competitive. This was important because my old water heater was leaking on the garage floor.

Description of Work: Their quote wasn't complete. Items kept getting added Because I knew what was needed, I kept asking for a complete costing and would only know when they came out to give a quote. At the same time felt when they did come, it would be to install a new unit.......... I've used them before so I knew they did good work. What I don't like is they all know what is needed to pass an inspection. Why not just quote this then when at the job, if not needed, reduce the cost......... It seems you get a cost that seems reasonable, then the add on costing comes into play. This is the same for all. Buyer be ware
