Working with Joel was great. He's excellent at communicating at what is needed and what exactly work he'll be doing. He was always very responsive and also had great attention to detail.

Joel and his team were wonderful! Joel is an honest man, and I was completely confident he would do the job well and with quality. His team was friendly and always cleaned up at the end of each day. I had a new baby when we were getting the A/C, and Joel's team did their best to accommodate a house with a newborn in it, such as working extra quietly when the baby was sleeping. Each day Joel would check in to make sure the work was going well. His team also frequently made sure I didn't have any questions and was happy with the work. Permitting and inspections went great. Wardour Heating is not the least expensive option, but you are getting a premium service and a job done right. I love our new A/C system. It was a great decision going with Joel to do the work.

Joel and his workers did a great job installing a new air conditioning and ducting system in our home. The 2 Zone HVAC system included reuse/relocation of our existing furnace up to the attic area to create more space for a future bathroom remodel project. Joel spent extra time upfront to calculate and size the 2 Zone system for maximum efficiency as well as taking into account the cooling needs for a future room addition. The work was fully permitted and completed professionally as promised, taking only 1 day longer due to minor complications with tying the ex. furnace into the new system and making sure it performed properly. Our home now heats to the desired temperature much faster in the morning and we are looking forward a cool AC environment when the summer heat sets in!

Joel and his team did a great job. Joel did a thorough evaluation before providing an estimate. His estimate was not the lowest but was competitive and certainly not the highest of the 4 bidders. We hired Wardour to replace a furnace under our house. We were very happy with this company. I'm a very hard grader, but we are very happy with their work. Their price was competitive. Joel made an error in his quote, and had left off a couple of small items - No problem, he took care of it. His staff are very careful, and neat. They made sure they did a good job.

At my first meeting with Joel Wardour, I thought he was a terrible salesman. Where all the guys from the big discount warehouses and big hardware stores came out and told me how easy it would be to do the job, Joel wanted to tell me all the trickiness of it. The other guys pressured me to buy, and told me that if I didn't make a quick decision they 1) couldn't fit me in the schedule or 2) or I wouldn't get an extra discount from them. Joel is not a high pressure salesman. He even told me that he thought I didn't need as fancy of a furnace as the other guys were promoting, because he didn't think it was very effective. (He does sell that fancy furnace, so he could have made more money if he'd sold it to me). However, he pointed out all kinds of things about where the air was going in my house, and asked me lots of questions. His free consult took some time! Then he prepared a thoughtful bid, and patiently answered my questions about why he'd bid the system he had. I got five bids, some from Angie's list and some from the previously mentioned warehouse membership and hardware stores. Interestingly, the "discount warehouse provider" bid was significantly higher than all the other bids. Joel's bid was not the lowest, but it was reasonable. I ended up choosing him (in spite of his no-pressure sales tactics) because he was recommended by other people who had worked with him, and he seemed super knowledgeable. He has been working in air/furnace biz his whole life, like his dad before him, and I found him and his crew to be super-trustworthy. After the furnace went in, we thought it was a little noisy. He built a special baffle and brought it (no charge) & it worked to reduce noise. Because we are remodelling in stages, his crew has to come back periodically to hook up ducts. Every single time they come, they change my filters - just a nice thing they do. Now we are thinking about adding air conditioning. Joel has been very thoughtful about what is the best way to cool the hot spots, and offered several good solutions. I'm so glad that I hired Joel Wardour and company. He's honest and he does good work - and a nice guy with a nice crew too!

Joel was contacted on November 2015 and we setup a time to walk out the job. When he arrived he noted that the house is small (1134 ft^2) and storage space is at a premium. He provided a few different options for our house that would save on space and minimize any modifications to our house. He didn't pressure us into any specific option but laid out the pros and cons of each system. In addition, he would not provide a furnace and AC size until he performed calculations to size the HVAC system for our house. Joel made sure to get the necessary details for the house so he could properly size the units, such as insulation in the attic and floor. This was great since he was able to go with a smaller unit and save us money. As a side note, I had four HVAC contractors give estimates and only half performed the sizing calculations, the other half said I needed a specific size unit and no calc was required. A sizing calculation for the furnace and AC is always required for new installations! Don't be fooled by those unscrupulous contractors. Once we decided on a start date for the construction, Joel updated me every morning on what his crew was going to accomplish for that day. Later in the morning, he would stop by early in the morning and meet with the crew to make sure the installation was going smooth, give specific work instructions, and to make sure the customer is happy. Overall the construction went very well and the crew was very accommodating and personable. Joel coordinated all inspections with the City and made sure to comply with any of the inspectors punch list items. There were no issues and our work permit was closed out by the City. Overall this was a positive experience.

Wardour Heating/A/C was great. I could not be more pleased with the results. The equipment installed works great and is much quieter than expected (compared to what was previously installed). Joel is very knowledgable and was the only one of 3 vendors that I originally called that took the time to really inspect our house, including crawling in a very cramped attic, before he provided an estimate. I was very impressed by his professionalism and the professionalism of his crew. They were on time, were polite and friendly, and took care of our house like it was their own. I highly recommend them.

It took less than an hour to diagnose repair an test. Joel Wardour explained the process along the way and tested the temperatures from the AC in the house multiple times to ensure it was functioning properly. Joel also made some suggestions about bringing my return vents in line with new standards, gave me an estimate on what that my cost with ZERO hard sell. He explained the benefits of updating the return vents, but said it was not critical and to give him a call if I wanted to explore. In short he explained his work and suggestions in layman's terms that made it easy to trust his position.

Left word for him 8/14. He texted on 8/17 to say he was on vacation and would call in the next two days. He called two weeks later to say he was in the neighborhood and asked if I still needed an estimate.. I said yes. He came by, seemed knowledgeable, said he'd get me a quote in two days. That was the last I heard of him.

Joel was so nice when he came to give me an estimate. My furnace is in the attic above the master bedroom. When it went on at night, it sounded like a plane taking off. Jesus came out and adjusted it, and it is now so quiet. So quiet that I can sleep through the night again. The rattling vent is silent. And the new thermostat is amazing. Keeps the temperature in my house better regulated. Just a great experience. My aunt also uses Wardour heating and has been so happy with their work.

Joel is very knowledgeable and had some good ideas about our how to install our new A/C system. Took care of everything including permits. Crew was on time, clean and respectful. Price was better than the other quote I got, but it's an expensive project. The city inspector said that he did a high quality job and it looks great to us. A few timing issues, but Joel was responsive when I contacted him. Have already recommended him to others.

I found this company through Angie's List. The reviews were stellar and I wanted their services. Mr. Wardour, Joel, came over, looked at my furnace, explained everything to me (I am one who loves the details), and did a minor service. He was professional, polite, of good humor, knowledgeable, confident in his abilities. I highly recommend this company. I was so impressed. And I was grateful to Angie's List for giving me the opportunity to make my own informed decision. I will be calling this company next year.

Joel is the owner and he is really great. Very knowledgeable and service oriented. He shows up on time and is able to troubleshoot right away. He did the initial inspection and determined that a part had to be ordered. He offered to have it delivered even quicker if I had to have it done immediately and I said that it could wait a bit. He was right on top of things and as promised he came back when we scheduled it and installed the part. He gave me a full explanation of the problem which made me feel better. His helpers are great too. Use this company for your heating or A/C needs!

The work was completed by his crew efficiently and courteously. Joel made sure that his crew connected the furnace so that all ducts and lines were connected for effective flow and avoided quick, cheap poor connects. He included a replacement of my thermostat since I upgraded the furnace to a two-stage unit. I did get other estimates, so I'm confident that the work was done for a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend Joel Wardour's Wardour Heating for any heating work that you might need.

Joel provided excellent service. He explained what he needed to do to replace our heating system. His crew was excellent and did not disturb me while I worked at home. His price was reasonable and within the range of cost that I expected. He also accommodated a change of start date I requested without complaint that was necessary due to some unexpected events. The quality of work was excellent and there were not price adjustments nor problems with getting everything permitted. I would strongly recommend him and his crew.

Joel and his guys showed up on time and did impeccable work. They left my house as clean as it was before they came. They replaced the fan coil, blew out the overflow pipe, replaced my vents and thermostat. And, they also left me an additional filter at no additional cost. They were nothing but professional and honest and I appreciate that I didn't need to spend double to replace a part that was still working.

We recently used Wardour to diagnose and repair our furnace. Within an hour of leaving a message for Joel, he returned our call. He tried to diagnose and fix the problem over the phone to save us being charged for a problem we could fix ourselves. When he was unable to fix the problem over the phone he came out and determined a circuit board needed to be replaced. There were no issues in getting an appointment that met our schedule. Joel ordered the part and when it came in he immediately installed it in between jobs he had in the neighborhood. Price was very reasonable; a majority of the cost was for the circuit board.

We had received a few quotes from other A/C vendors on Angie's List and both were out of our budget. Our master bedroom add-on seemed to have issues with the ducting so both contractors quoted a separate ductless unit for it which contributed to the high cost. A few months later I saw good reviews for Wardour and decided to give a call. Joel Wardour came out and inspected the situation. i also told him that we had a limited budget and he took that into consideration when he came up with his proposal. He said our ducting was poorly done and that by re-doing it and using bigger hoses that maybe that would allow air into our master. He felt like it was worth a try and that if it didn't work we could consider a ductless unit later when the budget allowed. Joel talked to us in a way that made us feel like we could trust him. The quote came back when he promised it would and we decided to move forward. His schedule was pretty booked but since ours was a fairly small job he squeezed us in the moment he had a chance. His crew came in and they were all polite and very careful to be neat around the house. It took 1.5 days to finish the job and everything worked out great. Even our master bedroom got air like he hoped would happen. Part of the job was also to redo the ducting for our bathroom fans. These were newer fans installed by an electrician about a year earlier but the suction was poor. When I called the electrician about this he told me that it happens and that he would replace the fan at his cost without any labor charge. While that was nice, it irked me that the fan would break that quickly. Joel felt that it was the way the electrician did the ducting. Sure enough he removed the ducting and the fan worked great but when they redid the ducting the fan made a loud noise. I told Joel about it after the job was complete and he immediately made arrangements to check it out. He stopped by between jobs and thought he knew what the problem might be but didn't have time at that moment to get it done. In the interim, he said he would remove the duct just to get moisture out of the bathroom. When he did this, the fan slowed to a crawl and the light dimmed. He thought it was an issue with the fan but had to leave. I was concerned that I now had to deal with a new fan again. However, as many other reviewers said, Joel is a stand up guy. Here's what he did: He called the manufacturer twice and tried to troubleshoot the issue. He would text me with updates. I asked if I should just get a new fan and he felt like I would be wasting money on something that wasn't needed. Over the next few weeks he tried valiantly to coordinate a time for him to come check it out. Even though he felt it was a wiring issue he felt bad that it happened when he removed the duct and felt responsible to get it resolved. We finally were able to coordinate schedules and he came out. Sure enough, it was a loose wire. The electrician made the connection too taut so when Joel removed the duct it loosened the connection. Joel reconnected and the fan w/ light is working like new again. Sooo... the electrician said I needed to replace the unit but the A/C guy actually does the research and fixes it. I can't say enough about Joel and his company. I highly recommend him to anyone with heating or A/C needs. My only concern is that he has set the bar very high for every other service provider we will use in the future. Thank you Joel for keeping us cool!

Joel Wardour is a quality guy and a pleasure to deal with. Very competent and straight forward. No BS. He installed the ducting in our house when we bought it 5 years ago and was the only one of the three estimates that we obtained, that told me that what I had in mind for the layout of the venting and returns wasn't going to work very well. He came up with a better plan and after living in the house the last five years I can tell you that Joel's advice was by far the best we received throughout the entire home fix up project. His crew recently came out for a repair related to a water leak and it reminded me that I should leave a review.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!!! The service provided was one of the best experiences I've ever had with home repairs. The owner explained in detail all the necessary work and gave me all the options. His employee was also very good and got all the work done on time and on budget with no surprises.

They subcontracted for a crane, in order to lift the old A/C from behind a trellis/bush and then install the new A/C. This saved me from having to damage the trellis/bush. They did a professional installation, and then, working with my needs, came back twice to fine tune the furnace controls to optimize the way the furnace high and low heats worked.

Needed a repair on my 10 year old Bryant forced air unit. Gas jets would come on but fan would not kick in. Joel methodically checked out all aspects of the unit and traced the problem to the control board within about 15 minutes. Joel ordered the part and came back 2 days later to do the replacement. All is back in order now. I hope for no more breakdowns but if I do have problems in the future I will be calling Wardour for sure.

I called on Friday and he showed up on Saturday morning for a service call and found the problem with my furnace which he later fixed.He also installed a filter rack which we never had.He was very professional and friendly and I would definitely use him again for any heating problems.

Excellent experience with Joel. He was the only person when we quoted to be honest about permits. All of the others just said we should do the permit ourselves & they do the work. Joel was honest that we might not be able to get a permit because of our shallow attic. He checked with the city office before providing a quote - so we knew it could be done. He and his crew were always on time & polite.They cleaned up incredibly well at the end of each day. The city inspector said the work was excellent. There were no overruns or delays. There were no surprises. Joel Wardour was honest & professional. He was always very clear about what had to be done & always did what he said. I will use them again when it's time to add the Air Conditioning.
