Joel Wardour and his team did a great job from design to installation. He was able design an HVAC system to take advantage of our already installed duct work in addition to adding air ducts and replacing non-functioning ducts through a difficult remodeled house with minimal loss of storage space. His team was always professional and did their best to keep the work space clean and leave it clean every night. Joel was on site everyday, supervising and checking on the work and in constant communication with the foreman. The demo of the old furnace and install of the new system went smoothly and efficiently. When the install was complete and we noticed the air intake was louder than we expected, Joel designed and installed a new intake duct configuration which lowered the sound from the intake significantly. Overall a great experience and we can once again enjoy the southern California summers in cool comfort.

The work was performed professionally over four days. Job involved moving heating and condenser to the attic and putting in new vents and ducting. City inspection went well afterwards with the inspector stating this was clearly a professional installation and passing it with no issues. Job site was kept clean during and after each day of work. The team performing the installation were all very friendly and considerate of our needs, as we were present during entire work period. Joel Wardour and his team (Jesus, Ricardo, Diego, and Mario) were very pleasant visitors to our home.

Wardour was recommended by a friend and we couldn't be happier. This contractor was so busy that we had to wait 2 months to start the job. But, it was well worth the wait. Joel, the owner, impressed us from the beginning with his focus on our needs and his creativity. Instead of relying on just the sizes of our house and rooms, he studied the existing insulation, the configuration of our spaces and all factors before calculating the size of the air conditioner for best efficiency. Unlike the two other HVAC competitors that came by and suggested that we give up part of a hall closet to accommodate an additional air return for our two-story home, Joel creatively found another way to install the return. His crew managed to widen the space in our furnace closet so the return could fit underneath the new furnace. This saved us valuable closet space. His crew were very friendly, professional and hard-working. And, Joel was such a pleasure to work with. He always stayed on top of everything and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, experienced and knowledgeable heating and air specialist, who truly seems to care about his customers. His prices are quite reasonable, too.

Prompt response, and a quick diagnosis that the furnace transformer had been fried. Had transformer on hand, replaced, and we were back up and running. Great service and value.

I only wish there was a higher rating I could give than just "A" like maybe "A+"! The crew that did my installation was proficient, friendly, courteous, punctual, and just an all around pleasure to do business with. They are perfectionists who take obvious pride in their work.

Outstanding job. Joel and company installed an A/C system at our house. The job was done within the period estimated at the cost submitted. No issues. We will now use Wardour for our future Heating and cooling needs.

It all boils down to one thing, I trusted his work. I known nothing about home heaters so he could have taken me to the cleaners and I would have said I need it fixed. I was lucky it was a small part that he found very quickly. I will certainly recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

Crew finished in one day. 8am-4pm. Curtained off the work area. Worked steadily and cleaned up really well. One worker patched a small hole in a wall in the attic that was nowhere near the furnace site. They were not hired to do that, so that extra task was appreciated. Joe Wardour came by to inspect and called few days later to see if everything was okay. We wanted a manual for the thermostat. The next day one of his workers delivered two copies the next day. Also received a senior discount off the original $3,450. Would highly recommend—but don't wait until winter to install a furnace, there is usually a "wait list" by that time. We are satisfied customers.

Joel and his crew were prompt, friendly, responsive, and professional; they were flexible and made extra efforts to find time slots to accommodate us. Joel explained and answered questions completely and understandably. We were most satisfied; it was the kind of personal care and consideration I remember seeing my parents receive from tradesmen in the Midwest in the 1950s. Joel managed to squeeze a visit into his busy schedule on a Saturday. He kept in touch regarding what time he would arrive. Checked the attic furnace explaining its condition and what had to be done. Thought I had a pilot light that needed to be relit but learned the furnace has a pilotless ignition system. Replaced filter and told us we should be thinking of a new furnace in the not too distant future. Rather than scare us with the need to replace the unit immediately, Joel said we should plan on doing the job by next year. He spent a good deal of time explaining options of a new furnace versus a heat pump system. I appreciated his candor and honesty.

It was great process and fair price. I highly recommend. They reworked old ducts and really improved flow. Did not oversell size of heater.

Joel tried to help me trouble shoot on the phone but was not successful. Came out the next day and figured out what the problem was. I have a Nest thermostat and it will not turn the furnace on if it detects there is a problem. The Furnace shut down because of a prior power outage and would not come on again, probably because of dirty filters. Also the furnace is probably almost 30 years old. Joel got the furnace working again showed me how to access and clean the filters. Furnace works great now.

My old furnace was in a closet so I also had the new equipment installed in the attic to free up space. My situation is complex because I'm also planning to do a massive renovation in 2 years and I already have architectural plans of my new floor plan. Joel Wardour went above and beyond to work with me to ensure the ducts would be well placed for my future floor plan. It was a massive project and him and his staff were extremely professional. Pricing was also competitive (I got 2 other quotes) and I would hire Wardour again in a heartbeat.

Joel Wardour inspected my house three times and spent a couple of hours suggesting alternative air conditioning systems. He was very patient and answered all our questions despite being overwhelmed with A/C requests during the past hot summer. Ultimately, we decided on traditional air conditioning and Joel's estimate was extremely competitive with three other companies and he was using superior R rated ducting and taking great care to eliminate leakage. I liked the other companies which bid on the work but we liked Joel so much and had so much faith in him that we waited several months for his schedule to open up. Joel took time to design the location and position of the equipment to best suit our needs for attic storage. His men were top notch, quiet, responsible, punctual and clean. They worked very hard and paid attention to every detail. They went out of their way to make the job perfect. For example, they painted the condenser stand so it matched the roof and they secured an attic baluster that had come loose. The job was originally scheduled for 2-3 days but they took 4 full days to get everything just right because, like any construction job, complications arise and Joel was quite particular about the quality of the work. Joel was at the house every day supervising. After the job was completed, he came by the next day to inspect everything, make sure we were happy and to take time explaining how to use the new thermostat. Even though his crew worked at least a day and a half more than anticipated, Joel stuck by his estimate. We highly recommend Wardour.

I've had 1 1/2 experiences and he was fantastic both times, he's just been overly busy. He was very helpful, he was very responsive. He came over, gave me an estimate for it, but then basically said, "look, I'm so busy that I won't be able to do anything until 'this date'". And that date was out side of what my availability was. So, we couldn't use him, but he was one of the first people that I went to because of my great experience with him 2012. We didn't really get into price this time. He was great with customer service, but he didn't provide a service so I can't really grade the quality.

3 other companies come out advising I needed a new furnace for thousands of dollars after paying them on the spot for a diagnostic test. Joel Wardour came and fixed the heater ...said the flame sensor was dirty; he cleaned it and replaced my filter all for $165.00. He is very honest. The other companies claimed my circuit board was out and the fire box was gone and best to replace the furnace. One company quoted me $7221.00 for replacement. The other $4300.00.

Christmas Day!!!! Heater wasn't working Christmas morning, Joel not only responded, but had the part I needed on his truck! Reasonably priced, given the circumstances. It pays to use local contractors like Joel. Have used Wardour for big and small jobs and he's there when you need him. Joel saved Christmas!

The best service I have ever had from a home appliance service. From the first call to the last was only 3-4 days when the company was totally busy during a heat wave. Professional and honest!!! The unit that was ordered and I was quoted for did not arrive from the supplier. The supplier sent a more expensive model. Joel Wardour gave me the more expensive unit for the quoted price. They are the best!!!
