After the first real cold snap in Los Angles in early November, I discovered that my heating unit was not operating. After calling two other companies, I was told that it would be upwards of 3-7 days before someone could come out. Explaining that I had an 82 year old (my mother) living in the house and that we couldn't really afford to wait that long- one company offered to lend me a portable heater, which was nice, but that would only keep one room warm. Wardour was a company I had called, but didn't hear back from until the next day. However, he responded quickly and came the same day, diagnosed the problem -which was a faulty thermostat- and attempted to fix it with a unit currently on his truck. However, it did not work and he needed to buy another one and come back on another day. He was thorough and went up into my attic, took a look at the heating system and concluded that everything was fine there. Since he was very busy - he couldn't do a full safety and maintenance check then, but stated that once things calmed down a bit, he would come back. I haven't heard from him, so I will call to "jiggle" his memory. He was fair, honest, considerate and knowledgeable. I would definitely use him again.

Wardour did the work very well. They were timely, honest, and very inexpensive. I would highly recommend them.

Before finding this company (Angies List)) I had security system installed , previous equipment purchased from no-name heating company..Mr. Wardour repaired all units, corrected faulty installation and damage to units.. He is a professional without a doubt...

Joel provided new ductwork in our two-story home, replaced the vents throughout and provided a new air supply to a room that previous contractors said wasn't possible. He also found a certified sub to remove-dispose of the old ductwork which had asbestos. He was extremely helpful and reasonably priced and worked with my schedule. He also provided references to subs that I hired for other work that I needed to do in the remodeling of our home prior to selling it. The previous year, he also repaired our old furnace by finding a part that was no longer made at a reasonable price so that we didn't have to buy an entire new heating unit which we couldn't afford at the time. Other contractors I called said it just had to be replaced. I would recommend caling Joel for any of your heating or air conditioning requirements - repairs or replacements.

GREAT! He not only fixed the problem (which honestly we all don't really understand) but he was diligent about following up. I will continue referring him business as I appreciate the professionalism and care that he puts into his job and business.

Our heating would not turn on after being unused all summer. I called Joel, based on Angie's list recommendations. He was busy, but fit us in even though it was right before Thanksgiving. He needed to come back the next day after getting the necessary part. He was prompt, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely use Wardour Heating again.

My forced air furnace suddenly stopped working during a rather cold period. I had trouble finding someone to come out quickly until I called Wardour. Joel got in touch with me quickly and scheduled an appointment for the next day. His serviceman was punctual and competent, and within hours I had my furnace working again.

Came immediately and quickly found the problem. It's been working perfectly ever since (5 weeks now). Joel was professional and courteous.

Joel came out and immediately found all the problems and explained everything to my satisfaction and went ahead and did all the work except for the draft diverter box which had to be built from scratch by his sheet metal man which took a few days which was expected. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Wardour was great; they came to my home on a Sunday. My furnace broke, and I have a newborn baby, so heat was essential. He gave me a really good price, and also found some other problems that I was not aware of. He fixed my thermostat and also informed me that my fan system was not connected properly.

I called for a long overdue preventive maintenance inspection. Joel Wardour showed up and performed the inspection while I watched. He ran some basic tests and performed some minor adjustments. He explained some of the shortcomings of the way the heating plant was engineered and explained that there was no need for more extensive service at this time. My heating plant is in the later years of it's life cycle. When it comes time to replace, I will call Wardour and have him engineer a heating plant that is more efficient and appropriately sized for my house.

We were soliciting bids for bids and out of the one's that we looked at, we chose from Angie's List this air conditioning company. He had very high ratings and we were very happy with his speed with the estimate and the equipment he would use. We found him to be professional and extremely efficient in getting the job done.

He did a great honest job for parts and price. He was diligent in his service. His price was around $800, and I had a competitor who had asked $13,000 for the same job! He was great! His communication skills and re pore were excellent. He was not a flake!

Repair work was very professional -- will use again.

Wardour was great. They showed up with a three-man crew who were professional, clean and careful. The 1st part involved setting up, and dismantling the old heater, than installing the new one with all ducts, returns, etc, and finally setting up the A/C. The job took 2 1/2 days. They cleaned up after each day, and you couldn't tell they'd been here. The job was on budget, with no hidden surprise charges. Couldn't have been happier with the job.

In the middle of the heat-wave showed up within a few days and got my unit working again. Helpful and informative about what was going on. Showed up on time, very professional and knowledgeable.

POSITIVE, DID GOOD WORK, VERY RELIABLE, PROMPT. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. WE WERE VERY HAPY WITH THE WORK, AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.
