Joe Catriel came out, was extremely nice and professional and replaced all the locks extremely quickly. He even made quick repairs to two doors - one jam was sticking and the other door wasn't shutting very securely. He made us a set of keys and we were good to go. Would definitely use again. Great experience!

I called this morning, described the problem and asked if I needed a carpenter or locksmith. Joe said that he "sees this type of problem all of the time" and could come fix it in about 35 minutes. I think he got here within 20-25 minutes (we only live about a mile from the store). We had a door where the deadbolt didn't fully extend into the jamb and was missing the strike plate. He came out, adjusted the hinges, put on a new strike plate, adjusted the hole in the jamb, and was finished. I think the whole process to around 20 minutes. He cleaned up the area, gave me a $5 discount for mentioning Angie's list (instead of 5%, which was nice), and was on his way. It's refreshing when a repair/service company shows up when they say they will and finishes the job quickly and, most importantly, correctly. In the area where we previously lived, this was a major problem. Based on this experience, I would highly recommend Brucar Locksmiths to anyone needing lock service.

After reading the reviews on Angie's List, I decided to have Joe come over and rekey 5 locks. He came to redo the locks the same day I called. He was on time, and even called me before he arrived saying he was on his way! I showed him the doors, and he went right to work. Within an hour, he had rekeyed the 5 locks, and I was able to cross something off my to do list that had been there for months! Joe showed me how to work a tricky lock, and lubricated a rusty one that was tough to turn. He was professional, friendly, courteous, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

He fixed the problem easily and explained exactly what was wrong with it. He gave us a 10% Angie's List discount and made 3 extra keys for no charge. He also volunteered a lot of extra information about what types of locks were the most secure, and offered to answer any other questions I might have over the phone at no cost after the service call. He was very friendly and clearly knowledgeable.

The deadbolt in our front door lockset had failed and would not open at all. After checking Angie's List for a recommendation, I called Joe. He came out within the hour, gave good advice, and explained everything he was going to do. Everything works great, smoother than the original install. Joe is also pleasant to work with.

Joe was prompt, professional and eager to do a great job. We asked him to re-key our front and side door locks to match our new garage door deadbolt lock, and unfortunately our front door lock was a different manufacturer than the other two. He found a solution - to change the inside cylinder from a Schlage to Quickset - and came back the same day with the part! He also was able to easily open 2 file cabinets for which we had lost the keys. He was eager to find solutions - we will definitely call him for work in the future!

Before the door did not close firmly leaving a draft. Now the door closes tightly and is easier to open. Joe was polite, prompt, and courteous. He did not try and sell me anything I didn't need.

I just bought a house that had 4 different locks on 7 doors. I did not have keys to one of the lock types. Joe arrived on time, was very professional, and worked with me to develop a strategy. He created a key for the lock that was missing a key, then re-keyed all of the remaining locks. Now I only need 1 key for everything. All work was done in about an hour, and all for $149. He even pointed out that one of my lock types is responsible for 90% of his lockout calls due to the design. I'll definitely call him again for locksmith services.
