Eric was great. Great communication, he recommended a wonderful unit, he was punctual, and he performed service above and beyond what was necessary. He did a superb job, highly recommended!

Eric showed up for the estimate on 10/6 and spent a lot of time going over the details, measuring and giving me options and their costs. He was able to complete the replacement of the job just a few days later on the 9th. He was very professional, answered all of my questions and showed up on time. They installed the new door and it looks beautiful. It has held up against the rain with nothing getting in. He cleaned up after himself so you would never know he was there. I would highly recommend him for future projects.

Eric was very professional. As a 'handyman' (with no time) myself, some of the attributes I found important to me are as follows: 1) ON Time 2) Clean and neat 3) Communicative: (explained what I needed, why and answered all my questions in a way that I understood) 4) Upfront and honest with his pricing: (As a business owner myself, I found Eric to be confident and accurate with his craft and his pricing in this industry by encouraging me to 'shop' around.) 5) Integrity: Eric quoted me a price and time frame. My garage posed a lot bigger challenge for Eric to accomplish in the given time frame. It also required a lot more customization because of the unanticipated tight space that he had to work around. Needless to say, it took him an additional two hours to finish and perfect the garage door opener. If anything, Eric did not charge extra for any of the customization but even apologized to me for the extra two hours he spent. He also, gave me an extra garage door opener for the inconvenience in time (which he did not have to do.) I find it rare these days to find excellent and honest service. I highly recommend Eric and 'Master Garage Doors & Gates'.

Eric responded immediately to our late night call when our door didn't shut. His first instruction was for my husband to not touch anything else with the door as he could injure/shock himself. Eric arrived early the next morning, and repaired our garage door within 24 hours. In addition, when we noticed it didn't close all the way a day later, he immediately came over and at no additional cost, worked tirelessly to get it to seal correctly. He is by far the most professional, dedicated, and efficient hire my husband and I have ever had. Cannot recommend his services enough!!!!

Eric was great. Perfectly professional, and very thorough. He gave us a fair price, and did careful work. He spent extra time to make sure we understood how everything worked, and offered to help with questions over the phone. We'll be calling him back for any future work.

My garage door opener was becoming very noisy and behaving erratically so I was afraid it was on its last leg. I bought an Angie?s List deal for a garage door ?tune-up? from Master Garage Doors and Gates. Eric thoroughly cleaned and lubricated the moving parts and, over two years later, it?s still working smoothly. Eric showed me how I could continue to maintain the opener to maximize its life. He also took the time to explain the options for replacing my garage door and opener when the time comes. He seemed very knowledgeable, conscientious and honest.

When I called him and explained that my GENIE system garage door was inoperable because the door sensors were not working, he stated that he'd come out as soon as possible that day. I also stated that I have replacement sensors and i needed his expertise to install them and anything else he felt he had to address. Within a short time, he called first ( approximately 30 minutes) and came over to tender the repair. Working in cramped quarters, he was able to correct the sensors with the new ones in record time. He also lubricated the wheels of the roll up garage door to insure a continued smooth operation. He cleaned up any debris and left the work location in good condition. I found Eric to be highly knowledgeable and experienced in his field. Moreover, he was punctual, reliable and professional at all times. In turn, his fee was very reasonable. Indeed, Eric saved us from having the unanticipated (and certainly not welcomed) added expense and inconvenience of replacing the garage door opener. I would highly recommend Eric without reservation.

Eric came out the next day after I called him. He showed up on time, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was very conscientious and inspected all parts of the gate and motor. I was very pleased with his thoroughness, attention to detail and concern about making sure that I was satisfied with the work. I would use him again and recommend him to others.

Our garage door was stuck/off track, Eric came that night and spent 3 hours fixing it. Did a great job, picked up the phone right away when we called and arrived in an hour. The price seemed fair given the late hour and time spent. Eric is also very professional and personable. Thank you! Highly recommend.

My 40 your old garage door--original to the house--had died. It was wood and had broken and had fallen off its hinges. Time for a new door. I got Eric off Angie's list--he was highly rated. He called me back within a half hour of my first call and we made plans to meet the next day at the house. He came out, and took measurements and was very knowledgeable and reassuring. . I had a hard time figuring out what I should get in terms of color and style, but he was patient and showed me many pictures and options. Once I made a choice, we found out my door measurements are a bit odd and he had to make a special order which took an extra week, but that was fine. He installed the door today--looks good and and running great. I was very happy all around and would recommend Master Garage Door and Gates whole heartedly.

It went wonderfully well. Our automatic gate cable broke, too heavy a job for an elderly woman as I am to handle. It was very late in the afternoon. I called Eric's emergency number. He was fortunately was withing 25 minutes of our residence which is out in the county side. He was just finishing up another job, would call us when he was free. Withing 25 minutes he called and in another 20 minutes he arrived. It was after the sunset and dark. No matter, he put on his night light evaluated the situation and went to work. I was amazed with his knowledge, systematic repair techniques, and wonderful conversation as he did the job. Within 40 more minutes he had the job done, cleaned up as he went. Not only is he skillful with his knowledge but a great individual.

Eric was professional and responsive from the get-go. We had three previous contracters out to "fix" our garage and each had made it worse, to the point where the improperly anchored motor was tearing out our garage wall. On Eric's first inspection, he quickly saw the problem with the faulty install and recommended how to fix it. When he arrived, the motor itself wasn't working either - what impressed me most was that he looked over the setup and was able to fix the motor/circuit board problem, and quickly offered that while the motor was older, there was no reason to spend the $ with him to replace it now as he could tune it up to work fine. What a welcome relief from most contracters who would have (and have in the past) told us the only way to "fix it is to replace the whole thing for x thousands of dollars." Eric outlined his plan to fix the anchor problem permanently (dig down x feet, install a steel post, and concrete around it) and new brackets on the gate to take the stress from the motor. He offered a very fair and competitive price and was able to fit us into his schedule so we could get a working door ASAP. Most importantly, as he was fixing someone else's work and not a new install, Eric was very clear in the scope of work he was performing, the expected results, and the aspects that he could not warranty (for instance- the prior faulty installation had bent the gate- he fixed it the best he could, but the gate itself is the wrong type and the only way to permanently fix it is to buy a new gate - which he saved us $ now by volunteering that this wasn't necessary currently but may be in the future). What he outlined was completely fair and reasonable and i was glad he brought it up to set expectations at the outset. The job itself went smoothly - he and his team showed up on time, performed the work in a timely manner, and cleaned up afterwards so that no evidence of the work site was left. Most importantly, the garage gate works perfectly, the post he installed and wall repair look **excellent** and from beginning to end, you can tell that Eric takes great pride in workmanship, professionalism, and doing the job correctly the first time! All in all, I could not be happier with the work of Eric and his team, and will plan on using him for any and all gate/garage issues in the future.

After a lengthy renovation project, the last item on the list was a new garage door and upgraded opener. We figured this too would be a long drawn out process, but that was further from the truth! We contacted them on a Tuesday afternoon and Eric came over within an hour to provide an estimate. We had done our homework, so we knew what we wanted, but Eric professionally described all the products. That day we selected a beautiful new door with decorative windows that really enables nice bright light to come in from the outside. We also upgraded our opener to a much quieter system that includes a battery backup as well as a wireless keypad outside the house which we never thought we'd use as much as we do now. Expecting to hear that we would have to wait a number of weeks for installation, we were thrilled to be able to have work completed the Friday of that very same week. Eric kept us in the loop and let us know when to expect him and his technician to arrive for installation. Not only did they remove the old garage door and opener, we didn't have to worry about any related disposal. Installation of the door and opener was completed in the time frame indicated and they even were able to program our cars to open the garage doors so there were nothing more for us to do. And, they swept our garage so clean upon completion, it will never be that clean again! We are comforted to know that they are also available for any service issues that may arise in the future.

Eric was fantastic from start to finish. He was the only guy I called and I'm glad I chose him. My wife left for work early in the morning and upon leaving our house, the chain on our electric gate snapped! So I called Eric. He picked up his phone on my first call. He was very nice and was able to set up a time to come by later in the day and take a look. He showed up on time and told me he could fix it right then and there. His price seemed fair so I said go for it. Not only did he do a great job installing a new chain but he serviced the rest of the gate including the motor, and the wheels. My gate runs better now then ever before. Eric seemed passionate about his work and sincerely wanted to make sure I was pleased with how the gate was opening and closing. Nothing better then someone who takes pride in their work and wants the customer to be happy. He also educated me on when to oil the gate, and some other stuff. All good things to know. I will definitely use Eric in the future for any future problems with my gate!

Very happy with the service. The iron gate in our driveway, which operates on an electric swing mechanism, had gotten stuck a number of times and wouldn't open or close. I had another company come out twice, who charged me $125 for each service call and didn't fix the gate. The other company offered to replace the entire unit for $2100+, which I wasn't willing to spend, so a hunch I called Eric at Master Garage. He was on time, professional, efficient and was able to fix the gate, which basically required two new batteries and adjusting the limit switch. He threw in a new remote, and the bill came to $295. If I had called him in the first place, I would have gotten a gate that was repaired right the first time, and for only a few dollars more than the other company that didn't fix anything! Now I know for next time. Anyway, the gate is working fine 10 months later, no problems. Would definitely recommend!

Master Garage saved me. I had an issue with our garage door not closing just before the rain. He managed to come in no time and charged a very fair price. I will keep Erics number for next time for sure.

It went wonderfully. He rearranged his schedule to get to me promptly and did a great job. In fact he repaired everything that a prior garage door company had done before. Not only that, he cost less. If I could hire him to do a lot of other projects for me I would.

Called Eric and told him that my garage door kept going off the track each time that I would open it and that I would have to manually put the cable back on the track before it would close. He told me that could be out to my house between 2-4p.m. that same afternoon. Eric showed up on time at 3 p.m. Eric gave me the choice of either installing a new limit switch or a new motor. He suggested the less expensive limit switch would work for me since I only opened and closed the garage door once a week. I am very pleased with Eric's work he is professional and personable. I would highly recommend Eric of Master Garage Doors and Gates.

Eric responded promptly to my call. He thoroughly checked out my problem and gave me a very reasonable quote for the work. He immediately performed all services when I gave him the okay. He worked quickly and efficiently and BEST OF ALL, he did not try to sell me a new door and opener. This guy is honest and has my highest recommendation. His price was good, he knows exactly what he's doing, and once again Angie's List sent me aworkman who did a great job.

I know it may seem odd to write a review for someone who only referred you to another service provider, but Eric of Master Garage Doors & Gates was awesome! I called him at 9:30 in the evening on a Tuesday night. My garage door is a roll-up, commercial door and NO ONE knows what to do with them . He took time to ask detailed questions regarding what the problem was with my door. He said that due to the weight of the door, he'd need to bring another technician and that the other technician was booked for the following day already. I told him I was really in need of getting the work done quickly, so he kindly referred me to two other service providers who he said were excellent at and specialize in working on commercial doors.

Amazing. I feel so stupid. I thought the whole thing was broken because it's 10 years old. But, all it needed was a good servicing and cleaning. He had it working like brand new in less than a minute. Then he checked the motor, cleaned, lubed and checked all the connections and rollers, etc. to make sure it would keep working. No guarantee for how long, because it is pretty old, but when it does die, I will definitely call this service again. What a gentleman. All I paid for was the basic service call.

Unbelievably well. Eric had replaced the opener 2 weeks ago and we subsequently discovered the outside key access did not work. This was because the opener was brand new and not compatible. Called on Wedneday evening and, within 35 minutes Eric was back installing a key pad. He refused to charge for the pad. I wanted to tip him and he also absolutely refused accepting that. In thirty years I have never have gotten this kind of service, honesty and integrity from any service provider. I will be recommending Eric and his company to everyone.
