The contractor came by the house to see the three issues that were in need of repair. He gave us a solid estimate of the labor and material costs. He made an appointment to return a few days later to fix the problems. The contractor arrived at the appointment time and proceeded to fix the three items that were in need of electrical repair. He brought all the necessary parts to effect the repair. He was quick, thorough and cleaned up after he had completed his work. The bill was fair and virtually matched the estimate. We would use him again, and we would recommend him to anyone needing electrical services.

Jim arrived on time and was very professional, personable and knowledgeable. My outdoor floodlight is about 20 feet from the ground on the upper second level on a rather awkward angle but he set up his ladder and went to work! Because we are on the side of a mountain and get some serious winds, he took extra time to make sure everything was tightened properly. And because it was an outdoor floodlight--we couldn't really check the range of the light at 10:00am, Jim offered to come back and change the floodlight's position if it didn't shine exactly where we needed it to--free of charge. If I ever need electrical work again, I will call Jim.

GREAT, it took JIM a little over 2 hrs. I have used him twice in the past month and was very pleased both times. I whole- heartedly recommend his services. Will definitely use him in the future.

Jim was awesome. He did everything we wanted done and had some suggestions for how to do it more effectively and efficiently. Very reliable and prompt. Very personable and trustworthy. His rates are very reasonable and he did all the work himself. We had so much for him to do and he was very flexible with our schedule.

I called Jim at QRJ Electric and left him a message about my problem with some of my outlets not working. He called me back within 20 minutes. I explained in further detail and he suggested I look for all of the outlets that have CFI (reset) buttons on them and see if any were tripped. As it happens there was one hidden outlet in the garage that was indeed tripped. I reset it and that fixed the problem. I am very happy with my service because instead of showing up at my house and charging me for pushing a button, he explained over the phone exactly what I needed to do to fix it. I will definitely be giving Jim a call if I have any electrical problems or services needed in the future.

replaced both switches after determining they were faulty. Also checked and removed a malfunctioning light fixture. Very quick and efficient. also prompt and professional. First time using Angies list, and we are very impressed. Two thumbs up

I first called Jim at QRJ Electric because I thought I had lost a breaker after a lightning storm. He came out the following day and examined the breaker only to find I had not reset it correctly. I appreciated his honesty and quick diagnosis. Since he was already onsite, I asked him if he could fix a broken receptacle outside and replace a broken light fixture with a new one that I had been planning to install. He did all of these things willingly, quickly and within the hour so there was no additional charge. I then asked him for an estimate to add outside lighting at the front stairs and in the back yard. He came back on the appointed day, as scheduled, and was cordial, polite and professional. He performed the installations accurately, paying attention to detail, and worked without stopping until the job was done. I'm very pleased with the results. I am delighted to have found such a competent, honest, professional, and fairly priced electrician and will not hesitate to call him for my next projects. It is a pleasure to recommend him to others without reservation.

Jim advised me of potential obstacles and alternatives involved in the requested projects. An older, existing structure is full of unknowns. Maybe Jim was lucky, but I think it was skill and a willingness to persevere. He was able to probe his way through a small opening in a barrier between studs to wire in the light fixture, and he just happened to have a twist switch in his truck to modify the fixture so it could be turned on without the need for a remote switch. Jim was prompt, organized, efficient, and congenial. I bought the fan and light fixture. He supplied the wire, boxes, switch etc., that were then itemized on the bill. I can't believe the difference one little 3-way switch makes. So many times I locked the house only to find the garage light was still on, then had to unlock to go back in to turn it off. One little life's aggravation abolished. Thanks, Jim.

It all went smoothly. He arrived as scheduled, did excellent work, knew what he was doing, worked with us on what we 'had in mind' ...giving us good options and solutions. Jim is our 'go-to' guy!

.Provider drove 35 miles from Reno to Lake Tahoe to look at the job and give an estimate. He came back the following week to install the ceiling fan and realized that the down rod supplied with the fan was not long enough. He went back to Reno and Carson City and located two rods that would work. He returned the following week and completed the installation and did not charge for the return trip. His work was excellent and his manner very professional.
