arrived on time. stucco and shutters and trim.good job with a minimum mess. ( shrubbery had been cut away previously for easy painter access, because the house had been tented).. after the paint job, had the house reroofed, (which made painting by spray gun easier). would use them again tho with my prep work, I think they were 10% or so high......

Overall the job went better. They finished the job at the correct amount of time. They didn't do any damage to any external property like plants or anything like that. They were very good. They came one day and did all the wrapping around and finished pretty much on time, when they said they would. They were very punctual. They were pretty good with punctuality.

The estimator came out right at the appointed time and gave a very detailed and thourough break-down of the work to be done and price. The painters were on time and very friendly, professional and helpful throughout the entire job. The work was performed promptly yet at no time was anything rushed. The end result was excellent. Highly recommended.

They showed up on time, did very extensive prep work, did a quality paint job and cleaned up everywhere.

I chose another painter as I preferred their services.

I would have given them all As but there were two problems. First, when they brought the paint samples, they were mis-labeled so I could not go by the name, but only the color, so I will not be able to order more in the future for touch up (this was probably the error of the Kelly Moore store where they order paint from, but still, El Gato supplies the paint, so they are responsible). Second, they did not leave me any remaining paint, which I did pay for, so I cannot do any touch-ups with that. Unfortunately, within a week of the painting, the layer of new paint came off my front door anywhere there was a mar or divet in the wood, so now the old color is showing. If I had any leftover paint I could have touched it up myself and because of the mis-labeling, I cannot request more of the same color.

There is no communications between the office and the workers. The woman in the office confirmed that. When I spoke with the estimator, he said it would take two days to paint my house, one day for power wash and one for prep. Since I was having new gutters put on, I wanted a paint match. I gave them the gutter companies phone number. Originally, the gutters were to be removed on Monday and the painting would progress then. After they spoke to the gutter company, the dates were changed from Monday to Wednesday for the gutter removal and Thursday and Friday for the painting. This was putting my back against the wall since I had to be out of town on Saturday and the gutters were then schedule to be put on Monday. I wanted my entryway power washed. When the man came, he sprayed the steps, but not the entryway. When the water dried, you could move dust with your feet. It wasn't washed. When I complained, they said the estimator would be there the next morning to check it. He never showed. Whenever I was told that the estimator would be there, he never showed. I asked the washer when the prep crew was going to arrive, he didn't know. They arrived on Friday morning. When I asked if they were going to have to come back on Saturday to finish the house, he sid they would do it in one day. The estimator said prep one day, paint the next. What I was told and what was reality were not the same. The painting was done to my satisfaction, but the crew left empty paint cans and one of their rollers was hanging on the gate to my fence. Fortunately, there was no paint on the gate.

They were very responsive and provided excellent service. Everything was well explained throughout and the finished product was very good. No complaints and I would highly recommend them to anybody who needs their house painted.

Everything went extremely well. They were on time for the quotation, delivered a very detailed quote and explained what they would and would not do. There was one area were some repair to the exterior siding was needed, and they very carefully explained what was covered and what to expect if there was hidden danage. When I finally made the decision to use them for the job, they had a crew out to my house to start the process within a week of my acceptance of their quote. The gentleman showed up on time, was very pleasent, and performed the power washing efficiently. Painters showed the following Tuesday as scheduled, on time, and walked with me around the house to make sure we had the areas that needed the trim colors and which were to be painted with the base color. We made arrangments that morning for the day that I would need to have someone at home to make sure that the doors to house could be opened to complete the painting. They cleaned up daily while doing the job and again walked me thru the completed project to make sure all items were painted as I wanted. When completed, I was very impressed with not only the overall quality of the job (there were no oversprays, and no paint droppings anywhere) but very impressed with one section of the wood siding on the house that had pretty severe weathering and paint blistering. They not only scrapped away the blistered paint, but did a very nice job sanding it down, totally eliminating any indication of a problem with the original paint job. The job went flawlessly, and the crew working the house were friendly, professional, and efficient. I would defintely recommend this comapny to anyone that needs painting done.

The entire process was very smooth from beginning to end. They came in to evaluate the property and immediately provided a quote. The office was extremely quick in scheduling the job. Once the job was scheduled they showed up right on time. The entire job, from cleaning, prepping to touching up details was done in a period of three days. I highly recommend them.

We got 3 bids, and El Gato was the best price and had the best feeling for the extra items we needed done. They were very professional and helpful, especially with color swatches painted on the walls. It turned out one of the colors was mis-mixed by the paint company, and on the day of they job the crew came with the correct color and painted it with the other swatches and waited for it to dry so we could decide. We had an initial walk-thru of the work to be done, and then they got to it. At the end of each day (2 day job) they had us out to look over what's been done. On the 2nd-day walkthru we found a couple of small items that they quickly corrected. All in all things went exactly like they are supposed to.

Extensive prep work was done as the pait on wood trim on numerous windows had blistered and peeled. Many windows also needed to be reglazed. Two month after job was finished we noticed the paint applied to the new surfaces had absorbed into the wood and needed an additional coat. El Gato responded immediately and had the additional coat of paint applied the day after my call to them. We highly recommend these guys.

Extremely professional. They moved our painting up one day to avoid any possible rain delays. Were fairly priced, easy to work with and did a great job.

We were very pleased with the work done by El Gato Painting. They were prompt, professional and very fast. They missed a couple of spots, but came back the next day to fix them. I would hire them again.

First, I'd like to say that we will use El Gato again - our job began at the busy time of the year in our area - when everyone is trying to get work completed before the rains come (usually in October.) ***In removing and replacing the area of dry rot damage, El Gato went the extra mile - one of the crew located an exact match to the very hard to find Celotex tiles that fit the underside of the roof in our homes. Since there are no attics in MacKay homes, this material is integral to helping with insulation, and is exposed as the underside of the roofing throughout the inside and perimeter of the outside of the house!*** Many neighbors have commented that they have either been unable to find or had great difficulty finding the Celotex, so we were thrilled when El Gato pulled this off! Also, El Gato coordinated their scheduling with All About Gutters, the company that installed our gutters and gutter covers. We would prefer to slightly drop the overall rating because of snags in finishing things up which were perpetuated by the weather and the complexity of the work needed on our home. If it were possible to give and overall A-, that would better reflect our experience. The house was power washed the Friday before work began. Work began on Monday, and was to complete by end of day on Saturday. Crews were ripping out bad wood, replacing/repairing wood, repairing stucco, prepping areas for painting. They all worked well together, arrived and left in a timely manner, kept us fairly well informed as to what was being done, what remained to be done, etc. We did have to make a few calls to support the coordination between El Gato and All About Gutters. but most of the time they proactively called us. All went well until an unseasonal, intense rainstorm was approaching. The contractors had other job sites that were endangered by the rain, and they asked to wait until the following Monday to finish, instead of finishing on Saturday. We agreed, as we understood the problems caused by the weather. With the exception of restoring a doorbell, front entrance light and adding a kickplate to an outer door, the construction, gutter install/painting (install by All About Gutters; painting of gutters by El Gato) and house painting were completed in the second week. Note: the original doorbell and front entrance light were removed for the painting, but were not reconnected until we noticed the situation and asked for this work to be done. Unfortunately, the doorbell was apparently "shot" due to age, and we therefore asked that the hole be stuccoed over and painted. The front entrance light was loosely screwed back into place, but the wiring was not reconnected. We attribute this to being done by crew who do not usually do such work - they were "cleaning up" and did what they could. We have since replaced the doorbell and light - we probably would have, anyway, but it would have been nice to know that they did need replacing at the time they were originally removed. The disappointment - as time progressed and El Gato's other jobs were underway, final cleanup at our site and the three items mentioned were not fully completed until several weeks after the primary work was done. El Gato worked hard to try to get things completed after the main work was done; part of the delay included trying to coordinate with our schedules so we could be available when needed to talk to the crew. We did discover something that would have been difficult to see/predict before last week (November 20-21) when we had our first (VERY late) rain since September - there is a leak where a patio cover joins the roof. We have contacted El Gato and expect that the problem with be taken care of professionally, and in a reasonable about of time. Thus we will avoid any more dry rot, we hope! A workable solution, using malleable materials, was applied shorlly after the problem was discovered. Hooray.

There were some issues which Ken reviewed and had corrected. I've revised my review based not only on his response in having the issues corrected but because I believe he is truly interested in continuous improvement. Let's face it, sometimes things happen. The key to quality is in finding ways to correct issues AND prevent it from happening again. He has a process where he meets with his team to review feedback in order to improve customer experience and I believe he will followup on what was learned from our job.

El Gato did an excellent job preparing and painting the exterior of our house and power washing our fences. I'm extremely satisfied with the results! The estimate was performed by Ken, he was punctual, professional and very thorough with the estimate. Work was scheduled and performed accordingly, on-time. I had to move the scheduled painting date back a week, El Gato was accommodating to our needs. The painters were professional and addressed all concerns and/or questions I had during the process. Cost wise, I received 5 estimates on the job. El Gato's estimate was slightly better than most, but not the cheapest. I felt the thoroughness of the estimate helped with our decision. I would recommend El Gato in the future.

Well El Gato Painting and Restoration were not interested because I think it was a small job. I think they just raised the price because they were not really interested in the job.

Painters reported as scheduled and completed the work promptly and correctly. There were just a few spots where paint was smeared.

The response from El Gato for an estimate was prompt, done by the president, Ken, and handed to me on the spot. My Angie's list referral discount was included in the estimate. I had two other estimates, one of which matched this one. When I decided I was given exact dates of start and completion. The paint type and colors were verified by the office more than once. The employees arrived and set up quietly. At times six people were working. All were very conscientious and courteous. There was no disruption in the household. They worked on sections of the house leaving access to other doors, and privacy could be maintained even though windows had to be open. They left every day at 4:00, cleaning up before leaving. The job was done exactly on schedule, complete in 5 days. The men worked well together, there was no loud music, nobody smoked on the property, their spirits were good and they worked as a team. It was especially evident on the last day when they had to support a tall ladder while one of the smaller painters had to do some near-acrobatics to reach the eaves of a sheer wall. They did a beautiful job!! I did have one or two sticking windows which they came out immediately to open. The house looks like it had a face lift. Even though I decided I couldn't do the stucco at this time, it looks fresh too. That was the most pleasant house paint-experience I ever had.
