Very satisfied with service and will definetly call again. I pre purchased one hour of service, the clock ran way over but Ira and Bonnie did not charge any extra, he did not leave until the work was done successfully at the original charge. The two were very committed to pleasing me and doing it right, I can't say it enough, I am very pleased. Will call them again.

The problem with my computer took the course of three days to fix the problem and through the whole experience they were a pleasure to be around.

They came out real spur of the moment. I had no internet access and they got that taken care of. They transferred everything from my Imac to my computer. They also cleaned up the whole system.

For inexplicable reasons my iPhone and iPad stopped synching my contacts and calendar with my PC via iTunes. I first contacted Apple support and after spending two hours on the phone with them, they were unable to resolve the problem. (They concluded the issue was with Microsoft Outlook 10.) I then contacted the IT professional I've used for years; he came to my office and spent nearly three hours trying to figure out the Outlook problem without success. I then tried a workaround recommended by my (allegedly) tech-savvy son. He suggested setting up a Gmail account, which includes a calendar -- and synching via Gmail. But I discovered that getting Gmail to interact properly with the Outlook calendar was complex and beyond my technical ability. I found Goodberg & Son on Angie's List and called them. They promised they could fix the problem, explained their rates, and we set an appointment for the next morning. Ira and Bonita showed up exactly on time and began working on fixing the root cause of the problem... as opposed to trying to get the Gmail workaround solution to work. They did a lot of "clean-up" along the way, fixing minor problems... finally completely resolving my problem by setting up the synch to work wirelessly via iCloud, which instantaneously synchs "as you go." So not only did they solve my problem, the end result was a better synch system. I no longer had to connect my phone or iPad to my computer, etc.; MUCH better. Besides being very technologically knowledgeable Ira and Bonita are very businesslike, very professional and VERY nice people. Being a realist who operates a small business with a number of computers, iPads and iPhones, I know that sooner or later I'll need the Goodbergs (one or both) to come out again to solve some other problem or other -- or, in some cases, to simply solve the problem over the phone (which they are also capable of doing). I'll be very comfortable that they'll fix whatever the issue is quickly and professionally. In other words, I'm a fan.

I have used their services previously (before Angies List). Again, they came promptly - with a smile, quickly analysed the problems and handled them well. When asked about their charge they kindly referred me to their current discount coupon, which I knew nothing about, enabling me to to reduce my outlay. In all respects they were efficient in the way they communicated about the problems and needed remedies, and as a professional myself I consider they acted very professionally and would always recommend their services. They were prompt in both setting up and arriving for their appointment. Plus they were professional, knowledgable and expeditious. It was helpful that they kept notes of their service call which assisted greatly when I had to make a follow-up call to them with a quick question. They work quickly so I would advise anyone to take careful notes while they're with you so you won't have follow-up questions. All in all they were congenial and I was pleased with their services.

I contacted Ira and Bonnie from an Angie's List promotional offer due to the positive reviews I read regarding their service. When everything was said and done - I was VERY glad I called them. The big selling point for me was that Ira and Bonnie came to my house to analyze my set-up rather than offering a phone service where they attempt to coach me through the trouble-shooting steps - that I hope I'm performing correctly. Ira and Bonnie got right to work when they arrived - analyzing all connections and devices to understand how my system was set up. Ira was able to quickly identify some issues with my system's architecture and implemented solutions to correct the problems. At the end of the day - my: desktop; laptops, smartphones,and e-reader were all connecting and operating as they were designed to do. I would HIGHLY reccomend Goodberg & Sons to solve any of your computer/network issues.

They arrived just hours after the initial phone call and both Bonnie and Ira were professional, personable and knowledgeable.. They were more thorough than I ever imagined, based on past experience ( I would have taken advantage of one of the "deals" if I realized how much work would take place. I never had anyone spend more than 30 minutes and found you get what you pay for.) They listened carefully to my concerns and expectations. They performed all the work stated about and probably more things than I can remember. Bonnie took copious notes that will be translated into an itemized bill detailing all the work. I am not a computer expert by any stretch of the imagination but have worked with enough computer technicians in education to know who is playing it by ear and who has a command of the complexities of the workings of computers. They are a great team and clearly know their stuff!

Everything went perfectly, and Ira even straightened out our rat's nest of cables. The computer is working perfectly and we are very happy with their work. Highly recommend them for anyone who wants on-site computer repair. What a joy not to have to pack the computer to some repair shop.

Contacted Goodberg & Son from Angie's List because of the good reviews and the fact they were close to my residence. Bonnie and Ira came over, checked out my PC and made helpful suggestions. After purchasing new HD and gaming keyboard, I called and set up an appointment for the hardware installation. Ira showed up on time and went right to work. He did everything from rearrange my cables to installing all the drivers (printer, etc.) I would need to get up and running. I am now in position to re-install all the software I need for personal and business purposes. Ira copied all the old files I requested from the old HD to the new one which will save me a lot of time getting fully up and running. I was so pleased with how smoothly everything went. Ira cleaned up his gear and left with the promise to be available to me in the future. It was the most pleasant experience I have had in dealing with PC techs.

Very good would use them again.

Effortless professional service of a complex problem due to a manufacturer identified defect

They came to my condo, diagnosed the problem and stayed until the job was performed correctly the 1st time. Very knowledgeable.

I found this company through Angie's list and was attracted to its high rating. Overall I was disappointed and after giving them many chances have decided to move on. I made a sizable investment in their services initially and followed all of their recommendations to purchase new equipment, including a new Mac Time Capsule and Airport. I had to have them back multiple times as their attempts to make their recommended equipment work were problematic. They hung in there, worked many hours to work out the bugs and were willing to adjust their price (hourly rate which is high) but in the end my new equipment - a drag taking so much time and frustration when setting up continued to have issues. Over a 10 month period, in the end, it truly worked for only five (5) months before failing to operate again. While I truly believe they are conscientious and truly want to serve, in the end their price is high and I lost confidence given how many issues occurred from the get go and then again after a short period of time combined with finding communication difficult and having to deal with unpleasant miscommunications. While uncertain whether my computer issues were attributed to the quality of their work or bad luck faulty new equipment (which I will have to have evaluated and resolved), I have decided to move on given I communication was challenging and uncomfortable, the owner is quick to diagnose and recommend new equipment and does not have patience to listen. Bottom line: Results were mixed, issues continued (never fully resolved) and I found it just too difficult, requiring too much effort to communicate/be heard while paying a premium - price is high. Paying for two people, which I found did not necessarily add value but more confusion around communication. Nice people but I just didn't earn my confidence for repeat business or to recommend.

My computer had been having a lot of trouble with internet browsers. It would be very slow or just freeze up when using any browser... though the worst was Firefox. On October 8th 2012, they came and spent hours diagnosing potential reasons and at the end of the day really seemed to have gotten to the main reason and it was great. They also recommended calling my DSL provider and having them check all the connections and wires outside my house. The next morning when booted up the PC it was as if no work had been done. They told me to see what AT&T said when they came and get back to them (They even made the appointment with AT&T for me). Among the things that Goodberg and Sons checked out were my Modem, Router, DSL connection, DSL Filter... just about everything imaginable. AT&T told me that I should have a new line run from the box outside my house directly to where my router is in the office so that I would not be losing speed in the old wiring in my walls. I had that work done by my contractor because he is a bit less expensive than the AT&T guy... who actually told me that was what I should do. After that work the PC seems a bit better, but still has the same basic problems. I had to go away to NY so I didn't have Goodberg and Sons back till November 13. They ran a diagnosis disc to perceive any viruses that might have been causing the issue but nothing was found. The recommedation is that it would be much more cost effective at this point to get a new desktop than to spend the money to back up all my files and programs, wipe the computer completely and the replace it all. I was only charged for the work back in October and though in retrospect I could have put that 320 bucks into the comptuer back then, had we been successful this would have been a much better solution... so, I have no regrets and would definitely recommend them highly.

I purchased a coupon for a computer check for my home desktop computer. I thought I had viruses, but this husband and wife team quickly found that I did not. They advised me of problems with the hard drive, cleaned out unnecessarily running programs and took the CPU outside to blow out the dust. They were very professional and personable, and obviously knew their craft. I was very pleased with their work.

Ira & Bonnie arrived a few minutes early and were lovely to meet. They began work right away and fixed the problem in just a few minutes.
