"It is such a horrible experience. As somebody else mentioned, it is sure a language barrier but these guys are taking it for their advantage to revise the cost after the work. I advise have a written message or piece of paper to agree before. I have paid the full amount and the guys is still not finished the job. I would not recommend Pena. I should have gone with a licensed contractor for less stressful and peace of mind."

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Topsoil should go down first. If the topsoil is next to your house, make sure the grade slopes away from the house to keep water from pooling against your foundation and possibly leaking into your basement or crawl space.
