About us

Mr. Roofing, was founded in 1989 by Miguel Rodriguez. A veteran of the roofing industry, Miguel immediately established an honest and fair roofing service that customers appreciated. Demand for his service had grown and he needed help. In 1998, Miguel formed a partnership with his son Carlos Rodriguez - at the time, a recent University of California at Berkeley graduate. Carlos had been working in a corporate environment for about a year after college and was recently promoted. However, when Miguel asked Carlos to join the company Carlos felt he couldn't turn his back on the family. The Mr. Roofing team is committed to a completely satisfied customer. Though not perfect, we try our best to deliver a good experience to our customers. More importantly, you can tell a company's commitment to customer service by their response to a question, concern, and/or compliment. Maria De Leon is in charge of appointments and scheduling. Her care and attention is appreciated by our customers. Eloisa Gallardo is our office manager and ensures that our paperwork process and business transactions are properly handled. Ricardo Molina, Mike Odynski, Omar Capulong, and Mitchel Silva are our project consultants; they listen to our customers needs and design a long term sustainable scope of work that will meet our customer's budget. Our project managers include Roberto Valerio, Jose Gutierrez, Nick Donofrio, and Carlos Rodriguez; their role is to coordinate the work and work crews to deliver a good production experience for our customers.

Hello [Member Name Removed]; Which one of our Project Advisors met with you? We don't charge for estimates and you reviewed that you paid us $99 for an inspection. The only inspections we charge for are for roof inspections requested by realtors and that is $250 for a full report of the existing condition of the roof on a property. If one of my Project Advisors charged you I would like to know and discuss that with them. Which property did we provide an estimate for you? The one listed in your review is not listed in our database neither is your name. Is the estimate under a different name perhaps? I ask to make sure my Project Advisors are fulfilling our process. We have 10 weeks of backlog work and if our prices weren't competitive we wouldn't be as busy as we are.

Description of Work: I used this service several years ago. In fact I got them through Angies list. When I used them previously I thought they were great. So, this time I called at least three times during normal work hours. The phone always went to voicemail. I left several messages and the call was never returned. I thought they were very good when I used them before. I don't know what happened to them. Maybe Angies list can follow up.

Description of Work: I contacted them on the phone for an appointment. They only had one avalable in about 6 weeks. They were very nice but I found someone who was able to complete the job sooner. I would contact them again for other work.

Description of Work: We called this outfit to set up an appointment to look at the clogged gutters on our roof and on the appointment day a nice fellow called to tell us they would be running late (which I said would be fine) and then he proceeded to ask me several questions about the roof while apparently looking at our house on Google Earth which he insinuated would give him all the information he would need regarding the gutters but would look at the house in person as well. Well, to make a long story short, this employee never did show up and we never heard anything from the company again. No phone call, no email, no letter, no estimate, nothing. Needless to say we will never use this company again.

Description of Work: Someone from Mr. Roofing came on time and did a thorough assessment of the job at hand. He was nice to talk to and very informative about the job I needed done, which was replacing the old corrugated roofing (20' x 12') over my deck. When I finally received the close to $6000 quote from them, I found it was really high compared to other quotes I got, especially since the contract stated they can't guarantee the roof won't leak. That speaks volumes to me about whether they stand behind their work, no matter what. There was a note about how the material is hard to find - corrugated fiberglass roof panels. Interesting that I've seen them in Home Depot and Lowe's. Although I appreciated his professionalism when he came to look at the roof, the overall message I got was the job just wasn't big enough.

I had the opportunity to go over your project with the person assigned as your Project Advisor. I am glad to read that you felt he was professional, thorough, and on time - these are all common courtesies we expect from our Project Advisors. It appears that there was a misunderstanding about the particular corrugated panels. Our Project Advisor understood that you wanted the exact same product which is a corrugated panel made out of fiberglass and not the polycarbonate panels available at Lowe's or Home Depot. Our Project Advisor was able to find the fiberglass panels from a commercial building materials distributor. That product costs more than the polycarbonate product and has a longer wait time for delivery. It would have been easier and cost less to get the polycarbonate product. The note about not being able to guarantee against leaks is meant to inform our clients about realistic expectations. We install this system per the recommended instructions with a proper overlap, sealant, and fastening patterns, however under certain conditions with wind driven rain these particular structures and roof materials can drip at a seam or an overlap. This particular roof material is meant for patios, garages, car ports, utility sheds, etc... places where an occasional drip won't harm anything. We could not be in business for over 24 years if we didn't stand behind our work, more importantly we have had a good reputation becuase we inform our clients about the pros and cons of each roof system we install. Perhaps there wasn't an opportunity to clarify these concerns you had and I appreciate you voicing your concerns on this forum. I would be happy to discuss further with you and I hope your decision on the corrugated panels and contractor you chose was a good one. Thanks again for the opportunity to earn your business. Roof repair was done and seemed to be effective for almost exactly 1 year. No warranty was given. I liked them and felt they were professional enough that I decided to call them when the roof had problems in the same place again, thinking a replacement of that portion of the roof may be needed. I never got a call back, so decided to proceed with a different roofing company.
Description of Work: 2007-Flat Roof-REPAIR. Roof Repair. Hot mop said area with hot asphalt and a built up membrane repair. Roof Repair. Seal properly with Irish Flax and hot asphalt as necessary to embed and make one uniform seal. Roof repair; Seal problem area with caulking. Warranty was not provided; 2008 - No services performed this time as I did not get a call back. A year later, the roof was leaking again in the same place, so I called them to have them come take a look at it. Spoke to Jerry, but did not get a call back.

It went pretty well overall. They provide a very complete and thorough estimate and took the time to answer my questions. They did a good job of protecting the premises while they worked and they cleaned up after themselves. They even did some siding repairs at the contract price even though it involved ordering custom siding. We had some small problems along the way (as is common with every project) and I was very impressed with how Carlos, the owner, dealt with these issues. So far I'm very happy with the quality of the work and I have no leaks! On the downside, they were so happy to please before the project started that they kept telling me that the additional work that I had requested)would not be a problem and would be reasonably priced. When the project started we reviewed my requests and it seemed unrealistic to include the additional work.
Description of Work: They did a complete tear-off and re-roof including all flat roofs, pitched roofs, gutters and downspouts. They did some siding repairs, roof deck repairs, and additional carpentry.
