Barry and his crew did an excellent job. We couldn't be happier. They were very professional and on time. Barry was there every day, and was there the entire day the day of the pour. He was hands-on and available to answer questions. We appreciated that no job seemed too small for him. We had a limited budget, so couldn't afford stamped or colored concrete, but he had a great suggestion that gave our project that little extra to look perfect! We enjoyed working with Barry because he has been in the business long enough to have done many projects and can share creative ideas to stay within budget. We would definitely use B R Sheldon Concrete again for another project.

Barry was great to work with. His prices were fair and the work was done on time and as specified in our contract. He handled himself in a very professional manner, as did his workers, unlike other contractor's I have had the misfortune of working with. I would definitely recommend B. R. Sheldon Concrete and in fact hope to use them again in the near future to replace the concrete in my backyard which had been installed improperly by my last contractor.

Mr. Sheldon was very professional. He showed up on time (on the agreed-upon day), finished the job in the time stated, and arranged for any required follow-up work. We are very pleased with the results.

Great! They did exactly as asked. The owner went out of his way to give me a bid on time and delivered as we discussed. Workers were prompt and completed the job in a short amount of time. I would hire them again.

Barry came out to look at the job. He was on-time and took notes as we discussed the job. I wanted several parts of the job to be bid as "optional" items depending on our budget and he was able to accommodate that. I obtained 3 quotes for the work. While he was in-line with the other jobs in price, I selected Barry because I felt most comfortable with him and I liked his professional attitude and appearance. I also gave weight to his high rating on Angie's List! The job proceeded according to plan without a hitch (except for a weather delay). Barry was there all day when the driveway was poured to make sure everything went quickly but smoothly; he did some of the finish work himself. The driveway, the backyard pad, and the concrete curb turned out very well and we receive many compliments from the neighbors. Although we did not do anything fancy - no special patterns or brickwork - it made a huge difference in the curb appeal of the home. I would definitely recommend Barry and would not have any concerns to call him again next time!

We had waited a long time to replace the old asphalt driveway and are very glad we went with BR Sheldon Concrete to do the project. They all showed up on time, the concrete pumper and truck arrived, then they finished the work without any trouble. Not much more to report! We asked them to go over one small section again, but Barry made his guys go over the whole slab! There was one area that needed an edge treatment (our near-miss), so his guy went back and made it perfect. Great job!

FIrst off, his estimate was very fair. He was professional and prompt in all communication. Showed up as promised and finished the job in two days. Totally professional and reliable. I highly recommend this individual / company to anyone who needs a new driveway or concrete work of any kind.

This was a big job. The concrete wall and the garage floor had been damaged by roots of an 60 ft Aleppo Pine. After the tree was removed, Buzz and his crew came in to rebuild the concrete block wall. It was very much a "find out as you go" kind of project. We didn't know the state of the footing or how well the new blocks would tie in to the existing, undamaged ones. It turned out, the footing needed to be rebuilt, and large chunks of the tree's remaining trunk and root structure had to be hacked out of the ground. Once the new footing was set, Buzz found blocks to match the originals. The new stretch of the wall is now ten months old and looks just great. Roots also had to be hacked out of the garage floor following its demo. The garage floor still looks like new. Buzz was easy to deal with. He was flexible in his timing and offered us a range of options for dealing with the garage floor and the driveway. He was on the job every day with his crew...no one worked harder than he did. And I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. The wall and the garage floor are first rate.

While we didn't use Barry for this project (approximately 400 sq. feet of square concrete pads) I would not hesitate to hire him in the future.

This is the third job I've had Barry and his crew do for me over the past few years and each has been a great experience. This job was to remove an old slab, grade and install a new 1000 square foot colored and stamped concrete patio and 60 foot long 18" retaining wall. Barry was on site and very involved in every phase of the project from the layout to the final finishing of the concrete . He and his crew arrived on time each day and cleaned up after completion. Everything about the project exceeded my expectations. If you need concrete work, call Barry, you will not be disappointed!

Arrived on Tuesday 1-21-2014 as scheduled first thing in the morning and proceeding with the demolition of the front driveway and the back patio and sawcut the cracked garage floor. On Wednesday they put down forms for the front driveway and back patio. They also put down plastic pipes under the driveway for future irrigation needs. On Thursday morning they poured the cement for the cracked garage floor, the back patio, and the front driveway and apron and completed the job.

The job was done on time and is a great job. I would recommend Berry to anyone looking for concrete work done.

Barry had a very difficult job because our driveway is very big, on a slope, and sits on clay soil. He graded it and prepped it so the effects of the soil expansion would be minimized. He was on the job site every day and his crew was professional and competent. Barry is also a pleasure to deal with, He kept us up to the minute with details and was always available to answer questions or concerns. He did an excellent job. It is such a pleasure to hire someone to do the job right the first time. We've been to contractor h*** and it is not fun. Barry made this pain in the neck of a job heavenly.

Barry is a very nice person and does great work. All of the reviews that I had read on Angie's list were what initially caught my attention. I must say that they are all true. He removed the damaged driveway and tree roots that had caused the cracks and rises in one day and poured and finished the job the next day. He and his crew showed up at 7:30 and worked until 5:00. They were all clean, professional and a pleasure to have around. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have concrete work done. My driveway looks fantastic. In all the years I've own homes and hired contractors, there been no contractor that has put so much detail into the finish work of a job. Barry and his crew showed up at the time arranged and completed the pour and finish in one day. He has a great crew and I would recommend them to anyone. Project went great, Sheldon was very patient with me. Did a great job at explaining all the details and waking me through the process. Took 2 days and came out clean and drains water very well. I am super happy with the work I will definitely use him again for any needs. Price was good especially considering all demo and haul away was included.

They did excellent work and was very good about following up with me. The was a problem with a boken sprinkler pipe and Barry sent one of his crew to fix it. We are very happy with the work that was done.

Barry Sheldon came to my home and wrote up the estimate and gave me the time frame. They were on time, very courteous and did a wonderful job. I get complicates from the neighbors. Before calling them, I checked them out on Angie's List. I would definitely recommend the to my family and friends.

It worked out well. I would recommend him to my mommy. He's not just good, he's a very nice man too. He treats his employees well and he treats his customers well. He went above and beyond; he actually did some repair work in the front of the house and didn't even charge me for it.

My experience was absolutely wonderful. We talked about stamps, and I think that was included, but the thing is there were some stampings that were more expensive than others, and I have not yet decided what I would use because I was told by the painters that if I was going to replace the driveway and was considering pavers for color, I needed to probably have an idea what I was going to put in so that the paint job would coordinate. The first time I contacted him I believe was by e-mail. It was a weekend, and he did not get back to me until Monday. He apologized because he had been out of town. He was very considerate about returning a phone call right away. He made an appointment to come out. He was busy; he had estimates coming in his alley, but he came out. He combined our estimate with a personal trip. He has a mother-in-law or a mother that was in our area. He had his family in the car. He spent time with me. I sat outside and looked through his book, and he sat out back because he gave us an estimate for our patio, and he wrote all that. Even though he was on a personal mission that weekend, he did not spare anytime for them. He was concentrating on us. He actually said that he hated to let go of the business, but I am contacting somebody without a getting a resurfacing job. He was not sure if that was going to be appropriate, but after he was headed, he said that it was a possibility, so, I felt that was professional of him too. I really like him.

My driveway was being pushed up by tree roots. There was a four-inch step up from the sidewalk to the driveway. I was afraid that someone would trip and fall. I found BR Sheldon Concrete on Angie's List and called for an estimate. Barry arrived exactly on time and provided the estimate. I liked him the moment I met him. I got a second estimate that turned out to be more than double Barry's estimate. I went with Barry based on his personality and estimate. We arranged a time to begin the project and Barry and his crew arrived exactly on time and started work. Barry was on site for every step of the project. On the first day the old driveway was removed. We found tree roots as thick as six inches and it took quite a while to clear everything out. The second day they poured and finished the concrete. The driveway looks spectacular. I would recommend Barry Sheldon to anyone. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met. His crew was friendly and truly talented. Mr. Sheldon was very easy to work with and gave a detailed written bid which he took the time to explain. He did a great job of explaining everything I wanted to know about concrete and re-bar, etc. He addressed all of my concerns. He and his crew were always on time and courteous. Mr. Sheldon is very professional, offers the best customer service, and does top quality work! I just love the new driveway and walkway. The brickwork on the walkway added so much to the look of our home.

I can't speak highly enough of John and Kevin. John was always responsive even at odd times, they explained the work as they did it so I felt comfortable with the procedure and made sure I was happy with the results before we considered it complete. They worked weekends to get the job done promptly, and provided me with great maintanence procdures to keep the job looking great long term. Even after the job was done, John answered my emails about some quick questions I had, even offering to come by to talk through it.
