He took off the 2nd knob, put it in the "starter" knob position, and gave it a turn and it worked. The whole repair took 15 seconds. Since the inside of the "starter" knob was stripped, I asked if I should just order a new one. He said if I was careful I could just use the stripped knob (which I thought was strange. I ended up ordering the part from the internet and it was only $13.00, including shipping) I then said, "Well I guess I just need to pay you $29.99 for the service call?" He told me the service call was $40.00. I then showed him a printout of their ad from the internet, and also told him that when I'd called his company, they quoted $29.99. He hemmed & hawed for a couple of minutes and looked carefully at my printout before agreeing to the $29.99 price! Considering that he literally took 15 seconds to fix it, I felt that he was definitely getting more than I paid for.

They were very fast and they were very efficient. There was no guesswork and they diagnosed the problem very quickly and accurately. They did a fine job.

They did a good job and I would use them again should the need arise.

They were good, as I have used them multiple times. They have been excellent every time.

Everything from office communication to onsite repair went smoothly for me. Website provided morning or afternoon scheduling, which prompted a quick confirmation call from their office. On the day of service two technicians arrived promptly after I received an office alert and adapted to existing tight installation (the unit itself is poorly designed for heating element replacement, requiring removal of unit). They were capable, friendly, informative and knowledgeable.

I contacted the company Tuesday afternoon because my washer would not drain. The first service appointment available was Wednesday between 11am - 2pm. I was advised of a $29.99 charge to have the tech come out, and was told the charge would be credited toward the repair if the company performed the repair. I received a courtesy call before the tech arrived (as promised). The tech arrived on time (actually a few minutes early), and immediately diagnosed the problem - a bad lid switch. He provided a quote for the part, and labor ($149). I accepted the quote, and he did the repair. The tech was in and out in about 30 minutes.

The repair was successful. I was able to schedule the first appointment for the next day. The repairman called before he arrived, which happened in the promised timeframe on both visits. He diagnosed the problem quickly. The only problem was that parts had to be ordered, and he gave me an estimate of one week to get them. However, after 2 weeks I still hadn't heard from them, so I called and found that the parts were expected the following day. The next day, they called to schedule the repair, which was done the following day. The delay in receiving the parts probably wasn't their fault, but it did leave me with the cooktop problem longer than I expected.

They were just marvelous. They were very punctual. They are the best repairmen I have ever had. They went the extra mile and they were extremely reliable. Their prices were very reasonable.

I called Alan and Sons over a different company who never responded to me. They did a good job for a fair price. I was very satisfied with them.

They were referred to me by Modern Maid (brand of oven). They forced the wrong part into the oven. It started leaking gas, and had to call the gas company. They red tagged it, saying that this oven was unsafe. They did come back a few times, they were speaking in Russian to each other and refused to refund what we paid on the service for a month. They finally refunded it in full 60 days later. A dozen or more calls had to be made. They could have caused a fire to happen because of the leaking gas!

We had the store do a repair on my washing machine. They really seemed to know what they were talking about and said they could do it quickly. They came to my home and did the repair.

THIS COMPANY WAS ABLE TO REPAIR MY REFRIGERATOR. THE WERE PROMPT AND THE MAN KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS WRONG. I HOPE THE PRICE WAS FAIR. I'M HAPPY BECAUSE I THOUGHT I HAD TO BUY A NEW ONE. THE SERVICE WAS GOOD.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH ALLEN AND SONS refrigeration WAS VERY GOOD. THEY CAME TO MY HOME WITHIN A COUPLE OF HOURS. ACCESSED WHAT WAS WRONG with MY FREEZER AND MADE THE NECESSARY REPAIR. IT WORKS VERY WELL. NOW WITH NO PROBLEMS.

THE MAN WAS VERY NICE AND POLITE AND ON TIME AND WORKED VERY QUICKLY. THEY WERE ALSO VERY NICE TO ME AND MY PARENTS. WE OFFERED HIM A COUPLE COLD DRINKS TOO.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY MET THEIR COMMITMENT. THE YOUNG MAN WAS CLEAN AND NEAT. HE WAS ALSO ON TIME. I GOT A SUBSEQUENT CALL AND IT WAS A YOUNG WOMAN THAT SEEMED AGITATED WITH THE YOUNG MAN. I DIDN'T FIND ANY FAULT WITH HIM.

THEY WERE POLITE AND TOLD US THAT THEY FIXED THE TV AND GAVE US A NEW REMOTE BECAUSE THE OLD REMOTE WAS MISSING THE ZERO BUTTON. THEY OVERALL DID A GREAT JOB.

THE COMPANY FIXED THE COMPRESSOR AND DID AN GOOD JOB. THE REFRIGATOR WAS 20 YEARS OLD THEN AND IS TEN YEARS OLDER NOW. THIS COMPANY DID A GOOD JOB. YEAH.

I REALLY DON'T REMEMBER THE REPAIRMAN'S NAME, BUT I DO REMEMBER HOW POLITE HE WAS AND VERY CAREFUL. AT THE SAME TIME, HE INFORMED ME OF ALL THAT HE WAS DOING TO MY REFRIGERATOR BECAUSE HE FIXED IT RIGHT IN THE KITCHEN. HE ALSO FOUND THE PARTS AT A VERY GOOD PRICE FOR ME.
