Advanced Electric

Roman from Advanced Electric gave me a very prompt and thorough proposal. The workers arrived on schedule, performed the installation without any mess. They were able to install the fan such that no spackling or drywall repair was required, despite the fact that another contractor who bid the job included drywall repair and paint touch-up in his bid.

They were absolutely great! Last week I called them about my porch light that had not been working for a few months. We had thought it was the fixture because it was old and cracked, but when I bought and installed a new fixture, the new one didn't work either. I called them last Wednesday after another electrical company had given me an outrageous price. Roman called me back quickly. He was very nice and very helpful over the phone. He came over later that day to take a look himself to see if the problem was a simple one. He decided that there must be a loose splice somewhere in the attic, so he scheduled me for today to have two guys come out to get into the attic to find the problem. He told me I did the right thing by turning down the other company because it can take a while to find the problem, but it won't cost $650. The other company wanted me to agree to the $650 price without even looking in the attic and they had no idea how long it would take to fix. The two guys showed up right on time at 8:00 this morning. They were very professional and very friendly. They even showed some very nice attention to my friendly dog. After getting into the attic and following the line they determined that a line had been cut in the wall behind my kitchen. A few months ago my house had been re-piped and the cut line was right where the plumbing in my kitchen was. So, they just bypassed the cut line and re-wired the lights that weren't working onto other lines. They were done around 9:00. They were great guys who were friendly and professional. I would definitely hire them again for any electrical work that needs to be done around the house. They gave me a fair price and didn't play any of the games that other companies play.

A switch burned out at my house. I found Advanced Electric on Angie's List, called them up on a Saturday and they came and put in a temporary switch until they could match the existing one - amazing!

Roman came over on short notice to help me install a digital wall switch timer. (Apparently, they can be trickier than they seem.) He was professional, informative and very patient...especially with my 2 little ones. He didn't even charge me at the end. No wonder why he gets such great reviews on Angie's List. I'm currently getting an estimate from him to do canned lights in the kitchen so I will be using him again.

We called and got a prompt response. We already had a new motor for our ceiling fan and just needed the removal of the old motor and installation of the new one. We were quoted $125 for one hour of labor, and that is what paid.

Roman was very enthusiastic when returning my voicemail. Most people don't return calls quickly and Roman did. That was my first GREEN LIGHT. I pushed him hard to send guys over ahead of schedule to fit in with my other tradesmen and he did it. His pricing was very fair and his men worked quickly and with great knowledge. Finally, whenever I had a concern about something it was addressed right away to my satisfaction.

The owner, Roman, was very thorough in his inspection of the work that we wanted done and made great suggestions as to electrical installation ideas and options. He was terrific in working with us and the other contractors on the jobsite. His team were really great guys and who did very neat, properly installed electrical work. They found hidden electrical boxes from the previous owner's kitchen remodel, and took the time to show me where they were, and asked permission to disconnect them. Anything they came across that was either unusual or could be done better they made it a point to keep me informed of my options and the pricing. I have remodeled many other properties in different states and appreciate good electrical quality when it is done. I would highly recommend them!

Talked to the owner, Roman, on the phone after he responded to an email we submitted through Angie's List. He was a straight shooter, very matter of fact and told me about his company (licensed, carries workers' comp, etc.), and asked only that we compare his price to other similar vendors. We ended up calling back and negotiating the price a bit and agreed on a day to start the job. He came out at the start with his foreman and assistant, and they started the job on the day/time agreed. Worked out placement of the lights. Very conscientious about covering everything up, and made *minimal* holes into our ceiling (not easy when installing recessed lights in a two-story house). The "B" for price is probably just my bias, because other contractors quoted similar prices for the work. And to be fair, Roman was willing to negotiate a bit and we did reach an agreement that both of us were OK with. Very good experience, and we would definitely use Roman and Advanced Electric again to do any electrical we have in our house.

We bought our first home a few weeks ago in Northridge and needed to update several components of the electrical shortly after we moved in, the biggest of which was replacing the master panel and digging a trench to connect 220v power to our above ground spa. We were new to Angie's list and hoped both the list and the contractors associated with it were the real deal. We were pleased to find out both proved to be the case. Roman gave an extremely professional, thorough estimate and backed it up with extremely professional, timely service. He told us during his initial estimate that he was not out to see how much money he could get out of us on one job and then leave us high and dry, he wanted to establish a long term relationship with us where we could see the high level of work he performed and feel confident and assured about calling him in the future. In short, Roman and his team were a pleasure to deal with and delivered on what was promised. We would happily recommend his services to anyone, and will certainly follow our own advice in the future.

I had some nonworking electrical outlets, for which I originally called a different electrician, who said he would come and fix it, but never did. I then joined Angie's List, found this company, and called. He suggested over the telephone that I might try to look for a Ground Fault Interrupter (an outlet with a switch to turn it off at the outlet), which I immediately found, and fixed the problem myself. He may have talked himself out of this "repair", but he ensured that if I ever have a real problem, he'll be the first person I call.

Roman inspected my old panel, and recommended replacing it for safety reasons since it was 50 years old and outdated. His crew (Joel and Ryan) came over promptly the following week, and completed the job in two days. Joel and Ryan were very courteous, efficient, and cleaned up completely after the job was completed. Roman arranged for the inspection and permit, which was convenient. When the inspector checked the new panel, he said that the electrician had done an excellent job. Roman is a very nice man with a great sense of humor. I appreciated his courtesy, professionalism, and excellent work.

They were very prompt and did good work. The serviceman who came to our home was very knowledgeable. I would absolutely reccomend this service to others.

I had what I thought was multiple lights flickering in my living room and feared that a circuit was failing. Even though Roman was extremely busy, when I explained that I had a party tonight he came over from another job site to evaluate and try to fix the problem. It turned out to be a single lamp causing the problem and he was able to adjust it so that the flickering stopped. Since I am essentially clueless about electrical issues, he also gave me much needed advice on bulb selection and installation. After all that, he not only didn't make me feel a fool for calling him out for such a minor issue, he even refused to charge me! I am so grateful to have discovered a wonderful resource for any future electrical work.

Everything is working fine now. Their quality of work was good, because I have had no problems. Their prices were very reasonable.

Called the company and Roman Agiert came out promptly on Monday morning to inspect the conduits. This was not a simple job because the conduits went through red bricks on the outside of the house and into the ground and it could not be easily determined where the power was going. Roman called that night to give me two ranges of quotes depending how much work needed to be done. The next day two of his employees came over to begin the work. They were on time and called me about twenty minutes before my appointment to let me know they were on the way. They were very professional and courteous. The work was completed in about two and a half hours and when they were done, everything looked as good as new.

Pretty well. Given that I don't know what the problem with the pool pump was, I'm impressed they were able to diagnose it and fix it. It ended up being a broken wire and undersized breakers in the electrical box, all of which they replaced and brought up to code. The only miscommunication was that they sent two people to do the job (and charged accordingly) when I originally thought (and was quoted) one person. However, we clarified this and he gave us a credit towards future jobs. You don't get that a whole lot with service companies.

The owner Roman, gave me a detailed estimate for an electrical panel upgrade and some other work. We chose to have the upgrade done first, just to see how it went. We were very pleased with the level of professionalism. I have recently had other work done here costing thousands of dollars and the owners of the other companies promise one thing and either it doesn't get done as they said it would, and/or they leave a mess. Not so here. Roman's crew cleaned up after themselves, pointed out issues that could be problematic due to mistakes the other workers had made and gave me choices and kept me informed. Roman is great. He offers suggestions and is one of the most caring contractors I have dealt with. You can tell that he takes pride in his work. He and his crew are all around nice people to work with. i have so much work to do here...I wish he knew how to do it all.

Fantastic. Roman and his entire team are great. Did a meticulous job, timely, great clean up and attention to detail over 3-4 visits to complete all the work.

Very professional. Very courteous. Good pricing but not the cheapest around. $250 for putting in 2 recessed lights for labor only as I supplied all the parts except two light bulbs that they provided. Still, I would highly recommend as the service outweighed the slightly higher price point.

The entire process was professional from the opening conversation, estimate, working in the attic and walls to the final cleanup. All furniture that had to be moved was put back, and our attic access trim, which was loose, was reattached as well. The work was split into two days, meeting the immediate needs of getting our lights back on and the outlets working on the first visit, with remaining work items completed on the second visit.

Mr. Agiert arrived when expected both for the estimate and the job. He, his foreman and another worker were on time, polite, professional and did not waste time while on the job. His billing was explicit. If there were any changes at all, he explained thoroughly before making them.

They kept on our budget and did a fine job. Advanced servicemen were extremely knowledgeable and respectful of our home. We would use them again.

Faulty tv cable service led cable repairman to diagnose electrical malfunction within house. Said call electrician. I called Roman Agiert at Advanced Electric. Roman confirmed malfunction and said was a utility problem. Utility responded and found faulty current on their service to the house. Utility fixed problem. Roman also replaced circuit breakers and rewired two outlets. Superb service and follow-up. Very reasonable rates.

They did a good job and charge a fair price. The work they did was fine.

This was really two jobs. The first job was to restore power to a room, where all the electrical outlets had quit working. They determined that the circuit breaker was faulty and moved the power to an unused circuit that was good. They did not, however, fix the faulty circuit because they did not have one with them. But the immediate problem was solved, and we had power back to that room. The second job was to fix a (new) hard-wired automatic timer that was not working. He did try to fix it, but said that these things are often complicated, and was not sure if he fixed it or not. As it turned out, he did not fix the problem, and the automatic timer still does not work. We had a third job for him (to run two new dedicated circuits to a room), but he ran out of time and said that he would have to come back for that one. We waited three weeks, but he never came back, so we hired someone else to do that job.
