Roman was a pleasure to deal with from the first time we spoke. He let us know exactly what we needed to get done. He gave us a timely straight forward and accurate estimate. The work was done on time and his guys did a great job for us over a few days. They had to come back to fix a malfunctioning dimmer switch which they did as soon as they could. And our dog loved them, so that's me completely convinced.

The job went just as planned. I couldn't be happier. I got three estimates. Roman' bid was very competitive. He arrived for the estimate when he said he would and was very thorough and clear as to the scope of the work that needed to be done. After agreeing to have the work done he returned on time with his guys, Joel and Carlos (sorry, Carlos, if I got your name wrong) and got things rolling. Joel had come by the day before to saw open the stucco wall around the old panel. The guys got the new panel and two new grounding rods installed in about six hours. I'm very satisfied with their work. Roman arranged for the city inspector to do his thing. All the work passed inspection. Now we have an inspected and upgraded electrical service with new grounds. Before, we had scary-looking, 50 year-old equipment that made all three electricians, who gave me estimates, cringe. Even the city inspector who came out to do the initial 'spotting', or 'Yellow' sheet, shook his head at our breaker panel. If you're thinking about having this done, you need to have someone from DWP come out and inspect your service before you get estimates. The electricians need to see the 'spotting report' to make an accurate estimate of the work to be done. The first electrician I called explained this process to me. I got that report and had it ready to show to each electrician who gave me an estimate.

Work went well. A good-sized crew showed up and quickly addressed all the issues. Very friendly and professional.

Roman of Advance Electric was here the next day with new breakers and replaced all the bad breakers and explained in great detail what was going on with my electric panel. When I asked if I should replace additional parts now to avoid future problems, he explained why that was not necessary at this time. I was very happy and I have recommend Advance Electric to other friends who have been just as happy.

Roman Algiert is the owner. He is knowledgeable and professional. His crew were friendly and answered all my questions. He coordinated timing and appointments with the cement contractor and both city and electric company inspectors. Roman really helped me out when i got locked out of my house, I had given him a key as I was away traveling, and he drove in from 30 miles away to open my door - he wouldn't allow me to pay him for his extra time either. A great guy!

We will be using Advanced Electric for all of our electrical needs from now on. Roman and his crew are punctual, responsive and thorough. My husband is overjoyed with how well the job was done. Electrical work is one of those things, where if done wrong (like ours previously was) it could lead to disaster. What you are paying for, when you hire Roman, is years of experience. He didn't just redo our electrical based on our current needs, he set up our wires so we can move up in amps if we need to in the future and do so easily. Roman, the owner, showed up right on time. His two man work crew was right behind him. They planned the lay-out of the lighting fixtures and got right to work. Roman gave us some expert advice on installing the remote control as opposed to a wall switch. His advice really helped us make a decision and we went with the remote control unit in the ceiling fan. The crew was very professional and helped move all of the furniture in and out of the living room. They laid down a huge drop cloth that covered the whole floor. They completed the job in a very timely manner and left our house neat and clean. We will definitely contact Roman again at Advanced Electric in Simi Valley, CA for future electrical work. P.S. his prices are more than fair.

Roman came out and gave me a clear scope of the work. The job was done promptly and on schedule. He did an excellent job installing the new panel and labeling. No stucco work included but this was explained to me beforehand. Getting the final paperwork was delayed a bit due to him moving offices.

The lighting went fine enough but scheduling and getting them to show was difficult. The charger installs were impossible as there were a rolling list of excuses coming out every couple of weeks why they won't be able to make the appointment after all and requesting rescheduling. My attempt at getting service for the car chargers dragged on for months having the owner setup an appointment to perform work and habitually call me a couple of days before and leave a message to cancel out. Way too much effort scheduling, canceling and rescheduling over and over for no results. I've gotta believe they have me down as the one they'll do when the day comes that he has nothing else to do. I was a fair-sized job too, not trivial. Perhaps they thought I was the type that would tolerate absolutly anything. Extremely flakey and unreliable.

Roman was very professional and detail oriented. He arrived on time and sent a written proposal the same evening. I feel the bit lacked the necessary detail and that it was quite high. My perception is that he probably does good work, but the price was so high I simply could not agree to his bid nor did I feel it was worth even trying to negotiate on price. I was advised of his costly overhead as a prelude to the bid so I was expecting the bid to be rather high even before it arrived. So in summary, professional, punctual, courteous, but expensive.

Roman really knows his craft and that's a rare find in today's world. His crew is punctual, efficient and they all do what they say they're going to do. They left the job-site clean. Roman followed-up on the work when it was done and handled the city permitting and DWP to make sure everything was done just right to our, the customer's satisfaction. Our work involved upgrading an electrical panel to 200 Amp due to replacement of a dual in wall gas oven with a dual in wall electrical oven. There were a few related things that had to be done as well, as recommended by Roman. And we were very happy with his recommendations based on his many years of experience. We were very pleased with Advanced Electric and would not hesitate to hire them again for anything electric.
