We worked with Jonathan Litinsky of Metropolis Drafting & Construction for our ADU project and had a very positive experience. Firstly, it was helpful to have everything in one place. Jonathan went over design ideas, drew up the architectural plans and managed the project from start to finish. The structure itself was fairly small (350sf garage conversion), but the layout and several of the design choices made the space feel much larger. This was the largest project we’ve done, and It was filled with anxiety-inducing bumps. Along the way, Jonathan was very responsive, quick to explain things and made the process more bearable. His design sense and suggestions (from appliances to tiles) helped make the place look and feel great. We are very happy with the final product - a beautiful ADU that we can use for family and friends.

Jonathan is a rare find, look no further! We recently completed a major kitchen remodel with several smaller projects throughout the house and cannot say enough positive things about our experience. Jonathan was the first person we spoke to and we were so impressed with him that we ended our search. We made the absolute right decision and he designed and built us a brand new stunning kitchen. Jonathan is very talented with an incredible eye and he listens to what you want to create and how you want to use it and makes it a reality. He was there with us every single step of the way, responding immediately to any issues that came up and finished right on time. We relied heavily on his suggestions and he would bring us samples, meet us at the showroom and send us online links to help with decisions. His workers are excellent and respectful of your home. Jonathan is meticulous and pays close attention to detail and goes above and beyond leaving no stone unturned to make sure the results reach perfection. And, he is a really nice guy with an awesome sense of humor and kept us sane (and often smiling) through the whole process. We highly recommend Jonathan and Metropolis Drafting and Construction and would use him again in a heartbeat for future projects.

We remodeled our kitchen with “Metropolis Drafting and Construction Inc.” which is owned by Jonathan. Our project involved redesigning the entire space including structural modification. Jonathan took our concept and put a beautiful design which was a great blend of looks and functionality. Jonathan is very meticulous which kept this project moving forward smoothly. He is very consciences in communicating and meeting client’s expectations. This project required a lot of decisions along the way. We relied on Jonathan’s experience and appreciated his recommendations. He even went to the store to help us pick our counter and island slabs. He spent extra time researching online for items we couldn’t find easily. All his workers are honest, pleasant, dependable craftsmen. The project completed on-time and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We look at our beautiful kitchen, smile and say, “Thank you Jonathan”!

Jonathan and his team are nothing short of amazing. They are an absolute pleasure to work with! From the moment we met him, we knew that our home and finances would be in excellent hands. We liked him so much that we didn't even interview any other contractors/architects (which is pretty risky given that we were doing a pretty major home renovation: we turned our kitchen into a bedroom, knocked down walls and needed 2 21-foot support beams, built an entirely new kitchen and redid the floors in the entire home). Our gut instincts were spot-on, and thankfully, Jonathan was every bit as wonderful to work with as he seemed that first day. He was very involved in the process and came pretty much daily to check on the quality of the work. He's trustworthy, caring, responsive, thorough, and just a really great guy to have around. My kids LOVED him, and still ask about him at times. Speaking of kids, we have 3 very small children and lived in the house during almost the entire remodel, and Jonathan worked out a plan so that we would have a functional kitchen throughout. Shockingly, everything went as planned... he was ON SCHEDULE or even ahead of schedule, almost the entire time. I think the only time we got pushed back a few days unexpectedly was from rain. One of the things that I most appreciated about Jonathan is his attention to detail and very high standards. In fact, on several instances Jonathan made his team redo some of the work (i.e. repaint our entire ceiling), because he felt it didn't meet his standards, even though I hadn't noticed any imperfection until he pointed it out. I don't think many contractors operate that way. At one point we travelled abroad for 2 weeks... My husband was super-nervous about being away while the hardwood floors were being done, and Jonathan seriously went above and beyond to keep us in the loop and involved every day. The best way to describe what a genuinely good man Jonathan is: on the day we came back, he spent over an hour helping my dad re-construct all of our kid's cribs (that's 3 cribs) just so that they'd be ready for naptime when we got back from our trip. I was dreading the home renovation process, especially since most of my friends have had an incredibly stressful time with their projects. I think my husband and I are rarities because we actually enjoyed the process, and I know that's 90% because of what an amazing contractor Jonathan is, and how smooth he made the process. He and his team are truly exceptional in every way!!

Projects: -ADU (Detached Unit construction) -Whole House Window Install -Storage Unit Renovation It’s very difficult choosing the right contractor. One who is all of these things: TRUSTWORTHY, TALENTED, & ON SCHEDULE. And if you‘re really lucky, someone who could even talk to you like a friend. This could be asking a lot from one contractor but I have to tell you, you get all of these traits from Jonathan and Team. He handled everything from: -Architectural Design (w 3/D renders) -Blueprinting -Foundation -Plumbing -Electrical -Framing / Drywall -Roofing -Stucco / Painting -Tile -Flooring -Windows -Cabinets -Lighting -Finishing touches (Interior & Exterior) ALL ON TIME We actually were caught of guard a few times from how quickly things were moving along! It helps that he is Organized; setting up Milestones to help with Tracking Progress as well as setting up Payments as the project progressed. Burbank is tricky to deal with to boot; with all of their stringent rules and ordinances, but Jonathan was there to side with us every step of the way; he really made that part of the process easy enough to deal with. Construction projects are a real challenge (to say the least); I’d be ignorant to say that everything goes perfectly. But if you want close to “Perfect”, Do yourself a favor and start with Jonathan and his Team (Metropolis Drafting and Construction Inc.) You’ll thank me later.

Jonathan is amazing! He made an overwhelming task much easier to handle by his organization and assistance with offering choices and ideas for tiles, countertops and more. Where do I start? The job was to create a master bathroom from a shared bathroom, add a powder room, remodel the kitchen and living room. From there the project grew. I was referred to Jonathan by pure chance. He was one of 3 contractors that I interviewed to remodel my home. During our first meeting, he listened as we walked through. He returned about a week later with a 3-d version and a written plan for the remodel. He was clear with pricing. He had a computer program on his laptop that allowed us to play with the floor space. There were multiple meetings to discuss ideas before construction was started. From the time construction started, Jonathan kept in constant contact. I told him from the beginning that I worked best with deadlines. He did his best to keep me on target so the different phases of construction could be completed. I will admit that especially in the beginning decisions were difficult – too many different tiles, patterns, material! But he gently nudged and set deadlines out for me. During the construction phase, he explained what to expect. I was so impressed by the quality of his workers. They were respectful of my home and place. We met regularly to review the progress. Jonathan not only provided the construction but also provided many of the ideas that live in my home!

We did few projects with this construction company, we are very satisfied with the results, they have great customer service, they on time. The crew’s guys are clean and professional, their pricing was always in our budget, and they doing everything they can to make the customer happy and satisfied. I highly recommended them to anyone who needs new construction.

I absolutely love the remodel Amit did in my bathroom and kitchen!!! Such a big difference it made in making my home feel like home again. He even discovered the shower pipe was leaking behind the wall and made sure it was taken care of. The bathroom has never looked better, after seamlessly installing recessed lighting, beautiful tile work in the shower and floors, and the gorgeous vanity sink. Not to mention the new cabinets and expansion of the tiny kitchen I had into an open floor plan kitchen, letting in more light into the dark hall I used to call my kitchen. Amit was very professional, friendly, time and cost efficient, and kept me up to date throughout the whole process. I couldn’t have asked for a better contractor.

We are incredibly happy with the work Metropolis Drafting & Construction did for us in early 2018. Ray and Jonathan managed our project with professionalism and ease. They stuck to the budget and timeline! They fixed things that were not up to their standard and they were incredibly transparent throughout the whole process. We feel incredibly fortunate to have chosen them for our remodel. We have recommended them to friends and neighbors and we would hire them again!

Was very impressed. Great recommendations that helped my kitchen and master bath look absolutely beautiful. The process was smooth and accommodating, Started with a free estimate at my home and then a second meeting where the designer brought us a basic layout plan and a computerized 3D model of the proposed kitchen. Once we agreed on the price Evgene said we should first select all materials before we start the actual demolition to prevent delays and wow was he right. It took me and my husband 3 weeks until we selected the finish materials so thank god we listened to him and didn't start right away. The actual construction process was smooth as well, a bit dusty during the demolition and once again during the drywall stage but the guys cleaned the place up after completion of work each day. we also removed a couple of walls one of them a loadbearing wall, Evgene brought an engineer over that inspected the framing and drawn plans. Evgene said that no work can be done until the engineer gives his recommendation and that made me feel very secure knowing that the work is been done the right way. I'm very happy with the results and recommend Metropolis to anyone who is in need of a good contractor and designer

We hired Metropolis Drafting and Construction after we had a bad experience with another contractor we started working with. Jonathan was able to walk us through what he could do to help fix the previous work as well as keep us on schedule to complete the remodel. I felt like I didn't have to worry about the quality of work or constantly ask for updates. Jonathan was extremely proactive on giving us updates, keeping us on schedule and staying within budget. His crew was polite, well mannered and top notch. We had no hesitation that with Jonathan and Metropolis Drafting and Construction, the job would be completed in time, within budget and with quality workmanship. We are definitely going to use Metropolis for all our future remodeling. We could not be happier with the results.

Metropolis called us within the day that I asked for a quote. They were very informative over the phone, after I saw their site and photos i scheduled a meeting. On the day of the meeting everything went super smoothly and i immediately got a price and the meeting ended by me signing the contract to start the material selection. The plans was approved by us after the third draft. Plans were approved in 30day in the city and The work was done within the time frame promissed to us. The guys were very professional. It was a big project that's why I was on the site alot to check things out after the first couple of weeks I noticed that I am not really needed to supervise. They work professionally, the result was as expected, Very Good. Thank you also for the warranty that you have offered. And of course thank you to all the people that made everything so perfect. Will vouch for Metropolis if someone askes.

We recently completed a major remodeling of our home, involving reconfiguring our kitchen layout, installing all new custom cabinets and appliances, replacing all flooring, opening a wall, upgrading the stair bannisters from wood to wrought iron, installation of french doors, wall paneling and tiling, and painting We selected Jonathan and his company Metropolis Drafting & Construction to be our primary design architect and contractor after interviewing several companies. We could not be any happier with our choice. Jonathan is a true professional, and a rarity in the world of contracting. He is an architect by training, and has an outstanding design eye. Jonathan made countless recommendations to us on layouts, coloring and choice of materials that really helped us to land on a design and materials that we loved. He gained a quick understanding of our tastes in style and color, and all of his design recommendations were presented in very easy to visualize 3D drawings. Once we started construction Jonathan was on top of every step and detail in the demolition and construction process. He advised us up front on all of the projected costs, including detailed cost breakouts when requested. Our project was projected to run for 4-5 months, and we finished right on time due to Jonathan’s outstanding focus on scheduling his work crews and ensuring materials were available when needed. Jonathan and his crews did all of the work compliant with local county building codes, and Jonathan personally managed the entire building permit and approval process to successful completion. Jonathan is also outstanding on any follow up items. As with any construction project, there will always be one or two small issues that surface after a job is completed, like a cracked tile or small paint or stain blemishes. All it takes is a single call to Jonathan and he will have one of his crew arrive promptly to correct the defects. Jonathan warrants all of his work, and he absolutely backs his warranty as evidenced by our experiences with him. We absolutely love the results of our remodeling project. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of Jonathan as our designer and contractor, and will not hesitate to use him again in the future for additional projects. Our project was a complete remodel/redesign of our kitchen. The creativity of the redesign and the excellent project management skills contributed to our overall satisfaction with the completed project. Recommendations and suggestions augmented our initial thoughts about remodeling our kitchen, which resulted in an amazing transformation of the original space, and improved efficiency. Jonathan introduced suggestions and design ideas that enhanced our ideas, without being pushy, and always in a respectful manner. We always felt that it was still our project, even when being introduced to design ideas that took us out of our comfort zone. I will be forever great full for the natural stone farmhouse sink, the backsplash, and flooring that was suggested and used. Working with consummate professionals, skilled craftsmen, and such an artistic visionary, resulted in a completed project, on time, and within our budget. What we started as a remodel, became a work of art that we will enjoy for many years to come.

We just finished a project with Metropolis and had a great experience. We decided to add on a master suite (~400 sq. ft.) to our existing home. We received quotes from multiple contractors and chose Metropolis because of their eye for design, competitive price and great attitude. The project was far from simple but Jonathan managed each step effectively and kept us informed throughout the whole process. His design aesthetic was a huge plus and something that we found lacking in other contractors. Our bathroom is absolutely beautiful and my favorite part of the addition. He recommended herringbone wall tile and pattered floor tile that made the bathroom Pinterest worthy! Also, he was always professional and was very accommodating at meeting with us at odd hours due to our work schedules. We also welcomed our first child in the middle of the project (!) and Jonathan and his crew were always respectful of our time and space once the baby was home. Overall, we are thrilled with the addition and grateful to Jonathan for making it happen.

Review of our Patio Cover created by Metropolis Metropolis Drafting and Construction   +Address: 4441 Woodman Ave #307, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 Phone (800) 961-6220 In January 2017 Metropolis completed a magnificent red tiled roof patio cover, complete with four eight inch square supporting posts and a ceiling with recessed lighting at the back of our Torrance home. They supported the process of submitting plans through the City of Torrance for the necessary permits. Their project manager was with us every day, representing us both at the City and on site as construction proceeded at our house. Photographs of the cover are available from Metropolis which shows the quality and excellent architecture of their work. It is an understatement to say that we are delighted with the end product and highly recommend Metropolis for any construction product.

We recently remodeled our home however our contractor didn’t work on stair bannisters or know of anyone who did. We had a large, circular wood bannister and wanted to replace it with a more contemporary iron bannister with a wood handrail. We interviewed 4-5 bannister contractors who were referred to us or we found on the internet. None of them could figure out a way to accomplish the look we wanted. Jonathan entered the picture when we happened to see a stunning remodel he did at a nearby house that coincidently had a stair bannister similar to what we wanted. After getting a feel for what we were envisioning, Jonathan produced a few designs that we loved. The design we selected was not inexpensive but, after observing the amount of work and detailed precision required of the subcontractors, we understood that the cost was completely in line with the work involved. Jonathan supervised the project from start to finish in a very orderly fashion, coordinated with the contractor doing the wood flooring on the steps, and made sure that each stage was flawless before the next stage began. The final staircase is exactly what we had envisioned and Jonathan completely captured the look we wanted. The result in fact exceeded our expectations due to his suggestions and direction. He was on site to approve each step and met with us several other times to discuss colors and design choices as the project progressed. His right-hand man, Guy, was here to oversee the work as well and was also a pleasure to deal with. And we must say that Vinny, who painted the wood hand rail was a true artist and perfectionist. Jonathan has great vision, unmatched integrity, and was simply a wonderful person to work with throughout our project. We wouldn’t hesitate to have him back for any other remodeling projects that come up in the future. Thank you Jonathan! It was a pleasure working with you!!
