Anyone who has been through a remodel knows it's hard. Even if your contractor is AMAZING, it's hard. Having people in your home and living amongst construction and making decision after decision is stressful. This was my third round of construction and third contractor. Well, Third Times the Charm! We consulted with several contractors and from the beginning, Jonathan set both my husband and I at ease. He brought his expertise, experience and advice to the table but only in a collaborative way. Never in a way that felt pushy or argumentative. This was a full kitchen/front of the house remodel. The kitchen was a 1939 original. Johnathan not only brought our vision to life, he enhanced it. No job is perfect and we ran into several hiccups along the way. At one point my husband and I decided to do wood flooring in the kitchen after concrete had already been poured in prep for tile. Jonathan didn't bat an eye. Multiple times he said something along the lines of "It's your kitchen, I want you to be happy living in it." Each time we had a hiccup, I was happy with how he handled it and I love, love, LOVE the final outcome. I mean, come on, look at the pictures. The kitchen turned out FANTASTIC. As for timeline and cost, I have no complaints. The job ran a little long but that was due to our change orders not Jonathan and he came in on budget. I would happily recommend Jonathan to anyone and everyone.

After interviewing four general contractors (GCs) for my interior remodel of a 4-bedroom, 4-bath home, I chose Jonathan due to his architecture/design background, drafting skills, and extensive knowledge. Unlike other GCs who required me to work with separate architects and designers, Jonathan handled the design, drafting, and permits all in-house, which saved me a lot of time and streamlined the process. His estimated timeline for construction was also the shortest, while still offering a competitive price. Throughout the construction, there were no delays. Jonathan adhered to the timeline and completed the project as promised. I never experienced long periods of inactivity, which is rare based on my past experiences with prior renovations. His communication was outstanding—he was always responsive and available via text and email, which made the process so much smoother. Jonathan was also great at helping me research options and find solutions when I wanted to make changes during the project. His flexibility and problem-solving skills were invaluable. Since the interior remodel, Jonathan has also helped us renovate our exterior, and we relied on him to redo the roof on another property. Additionally, we’ve referred him to a family member for their project. His expertise and the trust we have in him mean everything to us. Renovating a home is a significant undertaking, and I’m grateful to have worked with someone who made the process efficient, stress-free, and enjoyable. We hired Jonathan for a kitchen and bath remodel, as well as doing the flooring throught the house. We got quotes from several contractors but his ability to do design and build was why we selected him. Once the work began he was a pleasure to work with. He has good suggestions as well as tight project management. He was always quick to follow up and communicate next phases of the project. Everyone he brought in to work on the house was respectful and did great work that we were happy with. I would highly recommend him for any remodel project.

We had a fantastic experience with Metropolis Drafting & Construction for our home remodel. We remodeled the kitchen, two bathrooms, and replaced the flooring across the entire house. From demolition to laying the final tile, Jonathan Litinsky and his teams did top notch work every step of the way. Communication was straightforward and clear. Any unexpected issues that arose were resolved swiftly. Jonathan provided solid advice along the way for both structural and design elements, now my home looks like it is ready for the pages of an interior design magazine!

We considered 3 bids for the complete gut and remodel of our kitchen and Jonathan/Metropolis was the best of the bunch. Not the lowest bid but not the highest and super fair and reasonable. It was worth every penny. Jonathan worked with us from day one with a professional, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and collaborative attitude. He understands all aspects of design and construction -- plumbing, electrical, structural, cabinetry and finishes and worked in a timely fashion and never left the job needlessly incomplete. If you are looking for a company to plan and oversee a remodel... there is no better choice than Jonathan Litinsky and Metropolis Drafting and Construction. We have done multiple remodels before and, without question, this was our best experience from beginning to end. I particularly appreciated the following.... Jonathan’s calm demeanor, his design vision (especially given this is not my strength), his responsiveness to calls and messages, his timeliness (he and his employees always arrived on time for work and appointments), his sensitivity to and respect of desired price points, his meticulousness about the work being done, his organization of the job itself and the work spaces, his consistent communication of project updates, and his ability to deal calmly and efficiently with the inevitable glitches that occur in the remodeling process. Jonathan’s employees were ALL kind, respectful, neat and highly skilled. I felt completely trusting of those who were coming into our home and appreciated that they were understanding of our dog’s crazy barking and need to slowly adjust to new visitors. We had two bathrooms remodeled and they are BEAUTIFUL! Just what we envisioned. It is important to say that while I see Jonathan as an outstanding contractor and would re-hire him in a second.... I am equally appreciative of the fact that he is wonderful human! We had a couple of house problems arise during the remodel (that had nothing to do with the remodels) and he made himself available to help us figure out a solution. One in particular... a plumbing problem where we were given an $8,000 estimate...and on a Saturday evening he talked us through a process, where we ultimately learned that the evaluation by the plumber was wrong and it was an easy fix. Jonathan cares about both the process and the results of his projects and works very hard to make the experience as positive as possible for his clients. We are so very grateful for having met and worked with Jonathan and Metropolis Drafting and Construction. I highly recommend them for any home project you are considering!

My husband and I hired Jonathan to convert part of our home and garage into a separate granny flat for my elderly parents. This was a project that was important to me and my family - we wanted a granny flat that felt like a lovely welcoming home, not a slapped together ADU. We are thrilled that we hired Jonathan as our contractor. Jonathan takes pride in his work and business. He pays attention to all the little details, has a great eye, makes helpful & honest suggestions, and he does not cut corners ever. He also knew all the ADA compliant codes so that door openings, showers, etc were accessible by wheelchair for my father. The end result was high quality, beautiful, and polished. Jonathan designed a layout that feels open and spacious - and managed to fit in a great room with kitchen, two bedrooms, two full baths, walk in closet, and laundry room - everything on my parent's wish list! My parents and family could not be happier with the end result. The transition from their previous huge home into this gorgeous new space has been seamless. Remodeling is stressful and hectic - but Jonathan was always available and truly made us feel like we were his only client. I had endless questions for him and he always responded quickly and patiently with thorough explanations. We will always use Metropolis for any remodeling needs!

We are very happy with the work that Jonathan and his team did on our renovation. We did a pretty big overhaul of our kitchen and living area, as well as a bathroom. It involved taking down a wall and putting up new beams, etc. It was a big project and stressful at times, but Jonathan was very attuned and responsive whenever we had concerns or questions. The work is very high quality and he was always aware of our budget constraints, helping us achieve something we are very happy with. We lived in our house during the renovation and got first hand exposure to all of his crew. They were always respectful and friendly, and very conscientious. We will definitely be working with Jonathan again on our next project.

We remodeled a big chunk of our house and we hired Jonathan for the job. Jonathan impressed us right away with his knowledgeability and flexibility. He offered good suggestions for details, and he listened to ours and took them seriously as well. It was a very long process, but through it all, he was very responsive and communicative with us, and we always knew what to expect at every step of the way. Most importantly, our house turned out beautifully and we would definitely hire him again in the future.

We met with Jonathan for remodeling the two bathrooms in our house, and immediately liked his style –Jonathan is focused but relaxed, and took our job seriously without putting on pressure (we experienced both "hard sell" and "too busy to deliver quote" from a few other contractors we met with before Jonathan). Communication was excellent throughout the job – Jonathan replies very quickly to calls/texts, and we never felt in the dark about what was happening next (it was sometimes just a matter of checking in with him the evening before, or first thing in the morning). Carlos, who assists Jonathan, is also super friendly/helpful, and was always a pleasure to work with. When it came to handling a few issues that came up during the job, Jonathan made sure they were handled – whether the causes were outside his control (e.g., a vendor/materials issue), or touch-ups needed by his subcontractors. If we had to cite a minor downside, it would be that a few of the subs weren't perfect when it came to detail or clean-up (but, again, Jonathan followed through when we raised these issues). Overall, we're very happy with Metropolis, and would recommend!

Jonathan was our contractor for a full remodel. As first time homeowners, we were a bit clueless about the entire process but Jonathan guided us through every step with his patient demeanor, great sense of design, and commitment to a high level of craftsmanship. He was respectful of our budget and maintained transparency about costs throughout the whole remodel, often giving us options at every price level to choose from. It was clear that he was as invested in the final product as we were, and we knew that we could depend on him to fix any issues or flaws that might come up. We had a minor pipe issue just a few days after we moved in so we called Jonathan and he was there within hours to find the issue and got a plumber over immediately. Best of all, he finished the remodel within a very reasonable timeframe.

We worked with Jonathan on a full house remodel that included the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, framing, electrical upgrades, and more. Overall, I'm extremely happy with how the remodel turned out and I'd pick Metropolis again for any future work. Jonathan and his crew were able to deliver on the vision we had for our home. A couple of key points: - Jonathan has a keen attention to detail; everything was extremely thought out. He took the time to take us to his kitchen cabinet and countertop suppliers, and together we were able to design our dream kitchen. We were able to get 3D designs of potential layouts, which helped visualize the space and inform our decision. - No corners were cut throughout the project. We got honest, top-quality work without compromises. - He handled everything with the city permitting and inspectors. Everything was done up to code and passed the first time. - Communication was excellent. We got constant updates about project status and what was being worked on. We had lots of questions throughout the process, and Jonathan was always able to provide a timely and patient answer. Even on weekends and holidays. - Jonathan is a true problem solver. On the rare occasion we had an issue (like old plumbing or sagging floors), he was able to provide creative and robust solutions. - The project stayed within time and budget expectations. Especially during a period of parts and labor shortages worldwide, I am very grateful that. To summarize: no regrets about going with Metropolis, and I'd recommend them 100% to anyone looking to do a home renovation.

Jonathan is everything you should be looking for in a general contractor: He listens to what you you want from your project, he has a keen sense of design and aesthetics, he has a stellar collection of subcontractors, and he is responsive with knowledgeable advice for your inevitable mid-project questions. We are now enjoying our small but gem-like kitchen remodel with nothing but good thoughts on the road the got us here.

We first met Jonathan in October 2021 right around the time that we were closing on our current condo. As we had been living in this home, and renting, for about 2 years, we had already had some ideas brewing about the updates we wanted to make. When Jonathan came over for a consultation, we walked him through what we wanted to do in our kitchen and bathrooms and he let us know the best way to go about this. He took measurements when he was there so he was prepared to answer future questions over the phone or email. We sent him a few ideas of the design that we were looking for in each room. So after giving us a thoroughly drafted quote and a timeline (6-8 weeks for completion!), he also sent us links for items we could purchase ahead of time in order to be able to stick to the timeline as closely as possible - nothing frustrates a contractor like having to pause their project because they’re wait for items to still come in! I was so impressed that Jonathan took time to bring me to multiple stores. He took time to show me different tiles and countertop materials that were aligned with the design ideas I initially sent him. This was a very different (and much more pleasant!) experience than a previous contractor who just directed me to websites to pick out floor/ tile materials and then I was left on my own to choose, with little to no guidance. We scheduled Jonathan to have his team start on demo work while we were going to be out of town. This step of the process went surprisingly quickly! I will say that it’s not the easiest to live through a remodel (if you have the money or could go somewhere else for the entirety of it, that would be ideal). But, with that said, his team was beyond respectful of our space and they carefully sealed off the areas they were working on and covered the floors, so as to limit the dust and debris as best as possible. Jonathan left us paint samples to choose from for wall color and cabinet colors. Narrowing down which “white” to use on walls is a task in itself and I was relieved that Jonathan was able to narrow down my choices to only 2 or 3 colors (again, based on pictures I had sent). The white we ultimately chose looks beautiful and fresh in our west and south facing bathrooms! The final outcome of his team’s work was perfection. Everything came together beautifully and we couldn’t be happier with the results! (His tile guy does impeccable work - so impressed!) Take a look at the pictures that I attached and see for yourself! My wife and I hired Metropolis to help us renovate our kitchen. We could not be happier with the results. After our very first meeting with Omri, my wife and I knew we were in good hands. He came up with exciting designs for our Kitchen in our very first estimate. The team continued to be an informative and attentive contractor throughout the project. Why? - Omri was our project lead and provided both the best customer service as well as fantastic quality work. - They were wonderfully professional, very communicative, immensely respectful (to me, my husband, and our home), and always helpful. - The quality of work is excellent. Omri made sure that each team's work was careful, clean, and complete. What credibility do I have? My professional background is a Producer (in games and live experiences). I often meet with and hiring different vendors or companies for skilled jobs and projects. Whenever I look for someone for a project, personally or professionally, I really value experience, communication, and integrity. So what? This was my first time doing a home remodel project and didn't know what I didn't know. So when I first spoke with Jonathan (the owner) on the phone to set up an initial meeting and met Omri in person for the first project meeting, I knew I had to find someone who would 1) listen to what I wanted, 2) collaborate with me to improve upon my ideas, and 3) educate me in the process along the way. Omri and his team delivered 100% throughout the whole project. In person, text, or phone call, Omri always answered our questions. If he didn't know, he'd find out. We felt like our project was a priority to Metropolis.

Unlike many design/build firms, Jonathan worked with us first on our design and guided us through the planning approval process, and then gave us the plans so we could shop amongst multiple GCs. We ultimately were so impressed with Jonathan and his referrals that we gave him the business as well, and he did not disappoint. Jonathan did the design and construction of a remodel that involved our kitchen, dining room, family room, and guest bath. My previous remodels had been very stressful. After interviewing nearly 10 contractors, we were impressed with Jonathan’s communication and straightforward pricing. During our design phase he was very collaborative and didn’t make me feel rushed in spite of numerous design changes. His renderings made it easy for us to imagine the new space. Once our permits were approved, he kept the project moving forward and kept us fully informed. Jonathan is very responsive, reliable, and straightforward. He’s a good problem-solver and is easy to talk with. He came to our site a few times a week, and didn’t leave until I had all of my questions answered. Although we didn’t add any square footage, our new space is beautiful, feels much larger, and much more functional- we love it! We are so thankful to have worked with him.

We recently completed a home renovation project with Jonathan Litinsky of Metropolis Drafting and Construction and are thrilled with the result. We did a full master bathroom renovation including construction of a custom closet, renovation of our guest bathroom, decorative tiling backsplash in the kitchen, custom bar construction, and full interior painting.
