Great job and on time

Didn’t use them.

Got scheduled by Motti for the $50 consultation. One would think that this is usually a free estimate from other companies but Green Republic is anything but like any other company and I mean this on a positive note. Alisa called days before to confirm the meeting and arrived at the date and time agreed upon. Upon seeing the unfinished front yard and what we wanted(low maintenance), she was able to give me great ideas about the layout and what plants to use. She also gave helpful tips landscapers normally don't tell you. She also sent me a detailed estimate after. If I hadn't already committed the job to another contractor, I would have gone with them. Very professional, knowledgeable, pleasant people which is why they come highly recommended!!! Lately, my contractor had trouble finding one of the plants and despite being way past the consultation, Alisa replied promptly with her sources. Now that's what I call great aftersales support! Thanks Alisa!

Unfortunately, I was ultimately disappointed by my experience with this company. It looked like a great company with a lot of positive reviews, but their sales tactics and lack of transparency on price really turned me off. The process of providing an estimate is very straightforward, and over the last several years as a homeowner, I've come to expect a consistently simple process: 1) call to arrange a visit 2) do a walk through with the contractor 3) the contractor sends a detailed, written cost estimate over email in a couple days The process for me with this company was as follows: 1) schedule an appointment a week in advance 2) have the contractor call a half hour before the before the appointment, seemingly confused, ask who I am and if I still want an appointment (yes, that's why it's called an appointment, and it's why I took off work to meet you), then ask me to reschedule for a couple days later 3)show up with two people, landscaper and some sort of salesman / contractor and do the walk through, take measurements (I pay for a a sketch, which was great!)--at the end I ask to be sent a written estimate... 4)They fail to send the estimate, and instead want to repeat the entire process again with my wife present. Okay. 5) Do the exact same thing with the measurements, and then the sales guy pressures me VERY STRONGLY to agree to the job then and there to begin in two weeks, and agree to a (possibly well-arrived, but seemingly random) dollar amount jotted down in a notebook and passed to me quickly. And (keep in mind that I have still not seen a detailed, written estimate) continuously ask me me if I have 'talked to other contractors' (which is my right, and completely normal, and none of his business, frankly). Ultimately, it was fine for them to want to meet my wife, but she also wanted a detailed cost estimate--not to be a pushover for Mr. Salesman. 6) I resisted the pushy sales guy (he said he was a contractor, but seemed more like a used car salesman), and at the end of the meeting, again asked to be sent a written, detailed estimate over email, which he promised to provide in a day or so. A week later, and a follow-up email from me, and still no written estimate. I worked with another landscaper about three years ago, a small operation with just a couple people. They weren't perfect, but they were able to meet with me quickly and get a detailed, written estimate to me within a day. I don't understand why this company can't do the same. When a company is unable or unwilling to provide you with a written cost estimate and wants you to agree to work almost immediately, that is a red flag. I do have to add that I was extremely impressed by their landscape designer, Alyse. She was very knowledgeable about the plants and had a great plan for my yard, and expressed it well (when she wasn't being interrupted by her sales companion). I would have loved to work with her on the project, but I guess that won't happen.

Fantastic update on neglected exterior!!!! I was distraught at me homes lack of curb appeal and was sceptical that anything would help. I am overjoyed with the new and modern look my home has now!!!!! I can't t wait to hire these talented people for another project.

It was amazingly easy with the help of Motti Buskila. He understood what I was looking for as a concept and he is a real designer. He is also a certified arborist and when he got done our existing trees looked better than I have ever seen them. The price was fair and the work was superb. Motti did what he said he was going to do and he did it on time. He called back when I called him and he told me when his crew was coming and they came. My husband and I interviewed several other landscapers and Green Republic Landscape with Motti running the operation was by far the most knowledgeable. It was easy to tell that he really knew what he was talking about and he was interested in learning about how we would use the yard and incorporating our ideas into his design. We couldn't be happier with the end result. We now have a drought resistant yard that we can be proud of. He gets 10+ stars as far as we are concerned.

First of all, I appreciated the quick response after I purchased the consultation from Angie 's List. He showed up on time and listened to my ideas and made wonderful suggestions. He provided me with a drawing of my proposed project and showed me photos of plants that would go well with my ideas and work within my limited budget. I'm very pleased with his professionalism and would highly recommend him.

This project went exactly as planned. I didn't think Motti could do it as quickly as he promised, but he did. his workers and contractors competent and thorough and cleaned up at the end of the project. No if's, ands, or buts. Green Republic Landscapes ---- highly recommend

Purchased a landscape consultation through a angies list deal. They came by and were fun, friendly and had a lot of good ideas. They offered us a range of services from designs through full yard renovations. We did not have budget to do anything more than think about it at the time (new house purchase), but when we are able to move forward, we will likely be using them. They were fantastic.

We live in a community where all the houses look very similar. We wanted our landscaping to stand out compared to that of other houses. After interviewing several highly rated companies off Angie's List, we selected Green Republic to complete our front and backyard landscaping. Motti is a visionary and incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to design and plant selection. We described our style, our needs and our budget, and he was able to transform our ideas into an amazing space for our family. His starting point was basically all dirt in the front and backyard, and his crew did everything for us: hardscape, landscape, irrigation, fences and gates. The end result is just gorgeous! Motti takes pride in his work. Whenever we had questions or concerns he was there to walk us through the process. He was professional, prompt, creative, honest, respectful and responsive. His crew left the work area clean and organized each day. The project finished on schedule despite minor hiccups. Motti is not one to sugar-coat things and didn't hesitate to tell us if something wouldn't look right or if a certain plant or tree wouldn't thrive in our climate. His assistant, Randy, was also a pleasure to work with and helped out tremendously. We love our yard and are making wonderful family memories in it, thanks to Motti and his team. I highly recommend Green Republic for all your landscaping needs.

The whole experience with Motti and Green Republic was excellent. Communication with Motti was easy, the work was done on time and without problems. We made a few changes during the work and were either not charged or where it was clear that our changes required additional plantings or work, the charges were very reasonable.

I've had an incredible experience working with Green Republic Landscapes over the past month. After taking bids, they were in the range I was looking for. The Staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and delivered the quotes quickly and efficiently. The people performing the work were on time every day, respectful of the space, and a pleasure to deal with.

We have about a 3000 square foot hillside in our backyard. When we moved in a couple of years ago it was basically scraggly and intermittent rosemary and vinca with overhead sprinkling. Looked very shabby. We selected Motti's landscaping bid from a total of 3 bids. Motti was very responsive and available during the entire process. It took the crew about 1 1/2 weeks to complete. Green Landscape installed about 100 plants, a mix of 5 gallon and 1 gallon. Very hard and rocky hillside required the crew to jackhammer the plant holes. After creating the plant holes they added the planting mixture into the holes. Then they installed drip irrigation to all of the plant holes. Then they laid jute mat over the steeper portion of the hillside the help with erosion during rain, etc. Then they installed the plants. And finally they installed "gorilla hair" mulch on the hillside. We are very happy with the final results.

From start to finish, Motti and Rand of Green Republic Landscapes conducted themselves like true professionals. I asked them to design a yard that would be maintenance-free, drought-tolerant and conform to the turf removal rebate rules. They turned my dull, grass-filled yard into a beautiful, usable yard. They handled everything, from the removal of the grass to conditioning the soil to reinforcing the existing fence. In addition, they installed a paver patio and pathway and DG and gravel throughout the rest of the yard. Now I have a great space for relaxing and entertaining. I couldn't be happier. I would recommend Green Republic Landscapes to anyone.

Overall, Motti did an excellent job. Communication and responsiveness was top notch. He was able to provide us with a unique design that worked with our property and design goals. He had no issue working within our budget and timeline.

Motti is very easy to work with was great about communicating from the get go. After initially meeting with him and exchanging ideas he gave me a detailed, email bid that we worked off of. What I liked most about Mottis style was that he was flexible about adapting my ideas but he also had a vision and helpful suggestions. I knew some of the plants I wanted to include and then he gave me a list of drought tolerant options (with photos!) to choose from for each section. There were plants and landscaping elements like a rock wall and some palms that I wanted to keep so he worked with those and managed to make it all look cohesive while keeping costs lower. This project involved subcontractors for the AC and gate which can get tricky but Motti managed them well also. The job was completed on time, within budget and we couldn't be happier with the space. Our neighbors have all complimented the work and we plan to use Motti again for our backyard!

The project went very well. Martin, who did the landscaping, had recommended Motti for the design and they worked together very well. Motti's original design ended up costing beyond our budget, so we asked him to find ways to lower our costs. He and Martin worked together and devise a way for us to have a beautiful front yard that stayed within our original budget. We had several ideas about the types of plants that we wanted to use and the type of plants that we did not want to use, and Motti did a great job of listening to us and taking our suggestions. He was not stubborn about his ideas or pushy. We felt like it was a team effort. Motti also did a beautiful job of picking out lighting that enhanced the look of both our garden and home. He also picked out a tree that we were unfamiliar with and it looked great in the yard. It has been a few months since our project was completed. We love it. The variety, texture, color and amount of plants is beautiful. Our neighbors are very pleased. Many are stopping to ask questions and give complements. Everyone has commented how well the design fits with the style of our home. Replacing the lawn also allowed us to get a substantial rebate from the water district. We think that Motti does a wonderful job with design and is easy to work with. He is open to suggestions and can easily explain his design plans. When we ran into budget constraints, he was able to help with the redesign. We would highly recommend his work.

As my husband and I live in Southern California, I had been looking for a year for a good way to convert our water-thirsty lawn to a drought resistant front yard. Having visited my friend's home, I noticed her yard and fell in love with the design. After contacting Motti and explaining to him what I wanted and that the city had a rebate program, the design was born,which was included in the price. Motti is not only a landscaper, but an arborist which gave me the confidence I needed as I did not want the yard to just look good, but to make sure that what was planted would thrive. I showed Motti a couple of pictures of a yard I found and told him"... I wanted this plant, that tree and ooh that's pretty,I want that too". So, the tree,which I got two of are Blue Palos Verde of which I got two, the plant is Mexican Sage and the pretty things are Red Pencil sticks. In addition to those Motti did his magic and picked the rest of the plants. I also explained to him that I wanted depth and that I did not want a flat front yard which he succeeded in accomplishing both,beautifully. He and his guys worked for a solid week to convert our yard. The grass and tree was hauled away, sprinklers were converted to a drip system. I allowed Motti freedom to place plants and trees where he wanted because,as I explained to him, I would not want him to tell me how to do my job so I will not tell him how to do his. He is extremely easy to speak to and really listened and answered all my questions and concerns. The yard came out better then I ever expected and it's a joy to watch it all grow. We've had a lot of people come to our door and ask us about who did the work which has reinforced my confidence in having chosen Green Republic Landscapes to do our yard.

AMAZING attention to detail. The owner of Green Republic Landscapes, Motti, is very easy to work with and will customize your dream landscape to your specifications, using quality products and personnel. Do you want drought resistant? That is Green Republic's specialty. Motti took us to choose our plants and guided us as to what would grow well in certain areas of our garden. Demolition and clean up were perfect. They left the house cleaner than when they arrived. Motti worked within our budget and made sure we were comfortable with the price. Follow up was also amazing. Motti is very easy to reach and communicates very well. He responds to phone calls, texting and emails very quickly. As for our landscaping, it is absolutely gorgeous and flawless! We recommended Green Republic to our friend, who also used them for an even bigger project and the results were phenomenal! I would absolutely, 100% recommend Green Republic Landscapes to anyone who wants gorgeous landscaping with a personal touch and excellent customer service. There are a lot of landscape companies out there, but this one is a small business that prides itself on quality and service. Thank you to Motti for our gorgeous landscaping!
