Good. Brent was my service tech and he was great. He really cares about his customers.

He arrived promptly and got the job done. I should have asked for an estimate when I called so that was my mistake. If I had I would have called some other company's for quotes. I think $347.00, and that was with 10% senior discount, for what he did was a bite much.

Pleasant and professional from start to finish. Job was completed in a reasonable time. A bit pricey I thought, but then you get what you pay for I suppose.

They do just what they say that they are going to do. Plumbing is always going to be frighteningly expensive, and it's as fun as a root canal. But TLC made it as tolerable as it can be.

The main drain to our house was clogged on a Saturday. Because this company has a very good rating on Angie's List, we called them. We got an answering machine asking us to leave a message. We did, but the company never called back.

Excellent! The work was done the same day after hours and was done with minimal time and expense!

I had a blocked sewer lateral from my house out to the city sewer main in the alley behind my house. I had (stupidly) been flushing condoms down the toilet. My sewer lateral had tree root intrusion in the portion of the pipe that went under my neighbor's backyard and the items were building up and blocking the pipe. Luckily my backup from the washing machine overflowed outside my house at the clean-out cap access point. I called TLC to come out for an estimate. Unfortunately the estimate was $70 (not free) but if I chose them they would apply the fee to the service. We filled up the line with bathwater and the tech snaked the line using the out door sewer clean-out access point. It was very difficult (lots of root intrusion) and it did not work initially (the water level did not go down). The video camera they put in was not able to see much because the water level was still high. They charged me for the snake and told me a different TLC person would come by later and snake / video camera again to make sure it was fully cleaned out. He came later, and we saw all the root intrusions as well as where my neighbor's pipes join mine before we reach the City main line in the alleyway. The price was high ($300 for video only. $190 for snaking) but then again, this was my first plumbing experience, so perhaps that is just what it costs! The tech's were all good attitudes and really wanted to get the clog undone. This was all while it was raining as well! The only other improvement was that I would have liked to have received a VHS tape of the camera inspection (which they offer for $25 or so) but I was not given the option till after it was too late. Also funny story is that Carlos Olmeda, a local san diego musician who I'm a fan of, did their jingle on their website. small world!

The experience was good. It was a very problematic situation with the drain cleaning. It took about 4 hours to do the job. The technicians stuck with it. They were really determined to take care of the problem, even though it was raining the whole time, which did not help matters.

I was a little disappointed that I was told that the job would cost $60, but when they came out, they told us that the job would be about $300 to run the camera down and about $175 to check the plumbing under the house. The guys were nice, but this was annoying.

The technician reviewed the situation of my sewer line blockage with me and told me the price of the two options with me before starting. After determining that the problem was between the clean out near the sidewalk and my house, he told me that he would have to go on the roof to clean the main drain from the vent. He carried his equipment up the ladder and cleaned out the main drain. He was very polite and professional and got the job done.

I also asked about a wobbling toilet and they told me it would be very expensive to fix it. Soon after, the faucet started to leak again because the canisters were not working correctly. They also went out and bought a part and never showed me how much it cost. Overall, they were very expensive and nothing was gained out of it. I would also like to add that when the boss came out, he was very helpful and smart about his trade.

They were excellent! They were on time and their price was great! They sent me a coupon and thank you letter for using them which was nice!

I think that they are a really good company and I think really better than most. They came out and recommended that the septic tank needed to be pumped and they said if that didn't fix the problem then they would come back to clear the line. It just shows how honest the company is and they didn't charge me for coming out. They even recommended another company to me who came out to pump my septic tank and this ended up fixing the problem. TLC Plumbing was very professional, punctual & accurate in their diagnosis. I would recommend them.

Great. Our plumber explained everything he was doing and was very patient with our questions. He didn't have a pipe cap that we asked for, so he explained he could either go get one from the warehouse or we could do it ourselves at lower cost and he explained how.

I called TLC, and they had a guy over in about an hour. He looked at the pipes, gave me an estimate, and immediately started work. He snaked the drain and even cleaned the sink! Within a half-hour, he was done, and my sink was working properly.

Everything with these guys was ok. The price was fair. I like that their estimates are ready, and they do not change afterward. They are really professional. They were on time and got the job done quickly.

They came when they said they would and it was a fair price to pay compared to other companies. They were very efficient and thorough with the job that they did for me. I would recommend them to anyone that wants the work done right.

I got a second opinion from another plumbing company. That plumber looked at the pipe, told me it was nothing, and took out the nail just like that. There was no leak. The nail was intact; the tip was not rusted, meaning it had had no contact with water. Only the tip of the nail had been hammered into the pipe and then it had entered sideways, so it did not pierce the pipe itself. This second plumber charged me $0. As for TLC Plumbing: I don't appreciate the fact that they would not even consider taking the nail out or inspecting it more closely to figure out whether it had damaged the pipe. It might have been an oversight on their part, but I'd be out over $1,500 for this oversight. I am glad I decided to wait and have someone else look at the problem. I've learned from this to get a second and even a third opinion about a big plumbing job. I just saved thousands of dollars by just making a second call.

They damaged one of the bathroom's exterior walls. The arrangement I worked out with them was that my drywall repairman would fix it and I would give TLC the invoice and they would pay for the damage. I forwarded the invoice to their manager and even contacted him on the phone a few times and he confirmed that he had received the invoice and said they would send me the check. He even had their accounts payable person call me to tell me they were sending a check, but I have yet to receive it. I initially sent them the invoice roughly 90 days ago and I am still waiting. The work I hired them to do is fine, but the issue of the outstanding check is negatively affecting my experience with them.

The plumber from TLC, Larry Gomez, did an excellent job. He repaired a leak in the front yard between the house and the water meter, and he also replaced a toilet flange in the second bathroom. Larry diagnosed each problem before giving a written estimate. He then repaired the problem quickly and professionally while explaining what he was doing. The cost for repairing the leak in the front yard was 60 % lower than previous estimates.

I called TLC, got right through to the dispatcher. She was very pleasant and had someone on the way in 15 minutes. The technician arrived, gave us an estimate and replaced the water heater in about 2 hours. Very satisfied with both the product and the service provided!

Great! They were the only company that would even crawl under and look at it for free, others wanted $100 to give an estimate. They came out for the estimate the same day I called, then when I called back 2 days later to schedule the job, they started that afternoon. The job itself only took 3.5 days so all in all we got the estimate and had $5000 worth of plumbing done in 6 days. The work was excellent, they cleaned up well and were very nice guys. We went over the estimate because once they started removing pipe and digging (some pipes were buried a little) it became clear that more needed to be replaced, however they had warned us that might happen due to the difficulty of the pipe placement, etc.

Receptionist was great. Tech's English was not so good on the phone. Even though I'd left a message with the exact brand and type of faucet I was going to need, the tech didn't bring it. I was stuck having to use what they had on the truck (a cartridge model that I didn't want) or have to have them make an extra service call (with a tenant that is super obnoxious to all concerned this was not a good idea). So, I paid for what I didn't want, but at least the tenant has a working faucet. If you have something easy and stock, or tenants that can handle a 3 day wait with complications, you will probably be satisfied. Otherwise, you'll be like me with the immediate problem solved but not what you wanted. A to Z is about the same price point, but their techs speak English and are willing to bring parts that aren't stock. Your mileage may vary.

TLC was very responsive coming out the same day we called to get an estimate. It seemed high, but my friends tell me plumbing is expensive these days and I know it took me a day to replace a faucet some years ago as I never had all the fittings and visited the hardware store many times. It was worth having a professional do the job. They were prepared to start at our convenience which was the next week. The estimated time was a bit over 1 day, but the job was completed in less than a day. The water had to be turned off to effect the repair and when turned back on there were no leaks or adverse problems. Everything went as planned.

The service was fast, all representatives were polite (receptionist to the plumber who did the work). Very satisfied with the company.
