All Cities Pest Control

I contacted All Cities Pest Control and setup a bi-monthly program to spray around the exterior of my home. They were courteous and responsive; showed up on schedule for the first spray; explained their service and what would be done during each visit. I have enjoyed working with them so far.

Everything was done in a timely and professional manner.

They are reasonable and if there are any problems with spiders they will come back free of charge. If their technician was more prudent in ridding my patio furniture of spider webs I would likely increase their overall grade to an "A".

I was having a rat problem at one of my rental units in Pacific Beach so I immediately called Chris at All Cities Pest Control to take a look at my property. He arrived right on time as usual and got to work not 5 minutes after talking with me. He left some traps in troubled areas and gave me some tips about how to better maintain my front and backyard so it is less attractive for rats and other rodents. Almost a month later and we have caught 4 rats so far and my tenants are seeing them less often in the trees. Hopefully within a month or two they will be completely rat free. Thanks Chris!

Chris checked my entire attic, house and garage, checked for potential entry ways and provided guidance in how and where to rat-proof the house. He caught several rats within a few weeks and continues to come for regular checkups as requested by us. Chris is always punctual, calls before he arrives, is thorough and very professional. We love that he covers his shoes before he steps on our carpet. He brings any equipment necessary, including his own ladder, traps, bait, and cleans up the most disgusting messes with a smile. It went very well he was able to meet me at our rental property to complete the work. He looked at the nest and explained it was a yellow jacket told me that they seem to a little more aggressive gave me a quote and completed the work. i no longer have the problem along with a thrity day warranty. Very friendly and professional and I will use him again.

Scott arrived and asked what our issues were with the ants and the spiders. He basically just sprayed around the perimeter of the house. Don't know if it actually worked yet. I still see stray ants here and there. Spiders are still rampant in our garage. So I might have to call them back to get them to come out again to spray the garage too. It would be unfair to evaluate this vendor until some time has passed.

The person they sent over was very helpful and knowledgeable. He did a thorough inspection and told us exactly what we needed to do to solve our rodent problem.

When infestation of ants returned to kitchen, they came withing 2 days of my call to respray kitchen area and placed poison baits. Provider was very friendly and took the time to provide educational information

The provider called and emailed me very quickly after the deal was purchased. I returned the call and spoke with a very friendly, professional woman. I asked about how long the initial treatment would take and she replied "about 45 minutes". I was surprised and asked her if they could treat an entire house for termites in 45 minutes. She said they did not treat for termites. I told her that was my objective and she suggested another vendor and gave me the number of Angie's list to call for a refund. I called the number and spoke with a very nice, professional man who took my information and also looked for any termite control deal that might be offered by Angie's list. Finding none, I requested a refund. He immediately sent me this refund request. This was a very simple, easy transaction.

It went fine. They came out about 2 or 3 months ago and I didn't spend anything extra. Nothing stood about them but the value was good.

He explained everything in detail and was careful to be sure I understood and agreed. He carefully arranged the details of the follow on visit.

Bought an annual service contract for $299 to include bi-monthly service. Service was easy to schedule with a quick response (two days) and technician was on time. Technician explained exactly what he was going to do and what we could expect. He sprayed inside and outside of home. Target was especially ants. Ants were still a problem two days after treatment and technician returned the same day we called and treated inside home with another product (gell) to destroy ant nests. Product worked and ants have not returned.

Initial contact from the dispatcher was friendly and professional, taking the time to describe the service and options, and answer all questions. The technician came earlier than the provided time window (but called first!), and again went over the service, options, and questions. He specifically talked about options and recommendations for the ant problem, since he knew it was my main concern. He did a very thorough job inside and out, and also explained that I still might see the ants over the next week as the chemical takes some time to work and be brought back to whatever nests may be throughout the inside and perimeter of the house. After a week passed, I did see several occurrences of the ants in different parts of the home. The company responded promptly and professionally to my complaint, and sent my area's technician out. He reviewed what was done during the initial treatment, explained options and recommendations, and set additional chemicals in the main affected areas. So far, looks like the problem has been addressed. But I feel confident that, if I see additional occurrences, the company will send out the technician to address it at no cost. I would recommend their services to anyone!

Chris and the folks at All-Cities came out right away when we heard critters in our attic space. Chris not only trapped the rats he found evidence of, but he did a thorough walk-through of our property and found all of the spots where the critters were getting in, gave us a reasonable estimate for closing them all off, and came back on two occasions to do all of the work efficiently, well, and without leaving any mess. He also showed us what signs of a rat entry point looked like, and gave us advice on how to manage our tree and yard care to minimize future problems. As an added bonus, he not only came to check (and, when needed, empty) the traps the times included in our package, but he also checked them for free on his trips to the house to do the remediation work. I'd use All-Cities again in a minute.

I was looking for termite inspection and treatment and assumed that a pest control company would provide this service. When I called to make the appointment they informed me that they don't treat termites. It was my fault for not reading the deal carefully. I don't have a need for other pest control and they advised me to contact Angie's List for a refund. They were very friendly, I just don't have a need for their service.

He was polite, well dressed and did a quick and efficient job

I was getting ready to leave town and heard what sounded like animals in the walls of our kitchen. I called around to 3 companies on Angie's list, and All Cities was able to be the most responsive, especially given my tight schedule. I made the initial mistake of panicking and put out some poison, immediately where I (correctly) determined was the entry point location (air conditioner pipe going into wall at side of house near kitchen). Rats had chewed through the foam wrapped around the pipe, making entry into the wall possible. By the next day, Wednesday, when All Cities came, the noise was gone. All Cities found a dead rat during their perimeter check, and we figured it consumed the poison pack I had put out, since it was gone within an hour of my putting it by the hole. Our neighbors and I also noticed rat activity in our car engines. (Earlier in the month, rats had made a nest in our car engine, using the heat shield material. I had to get the engine power washed, and a new heat shield.) We discussed all the ramifications, including the possibility of rats elsewhere in the walls/attic, and the possibility others had been poisoned but may have remained in the walls. We decided to place 3 traps in the attic right away to ensure there were none left inside and (my decision) to also seal the hole right away they were using to get in, knowing there might be a dead rat(s) inside. I know we were very lucky that the one rat went outside to die. We never had any odor coming from the walls over the course of the next 9 days, thankfully. The return visit to check (and remove) the traps was included in the initial visit, and we received a 10% discount because we found All Cities via Angie's list . The traps showed no evidence of rat activity, so I think we caught the problem very early before they could really move in. The All Cities worker did not give me a hard sell on yearly/monthly service, but we did decide to put out 5 bait stations that All Cities will check monthly ($40 for each visit) for a while to help determine if there is, and if so what level of, additional rat activity we need to monitor. We referred All Cities to our neighbors next door, who in addition to their car engines, had had rats in their walls for several months. Chris worked with them to successfully trap and eliminate their current rat problem in the house, and seal entry points. My interactions with All Cities was easy, all personnel were responsive, knowledgeable, even empathetic, and calls were returned quickly. The rep. Chris who came to the house was very polite, careful in the house , and efficient.

Everything went well from the first phone call. They called promptly and were flexible with appointment times. The technician was on time and very pleasant. He offered to spray any area we desired. As advised, the house was aired and ready to re-enter within a couple of hours.

Currentlty in a one month test, to see of technicians suggestion of trapping works. Will have more definite answer on or about 10/17/13

Provider was on time and fully explained what he would do at this visit and on future visits. The service explained was exactly as advertised. Now only time will tell if service does as advertised. But step one was on the right foot and I look forward to a rewarding experience.
