He did a good job. The only problem was that he forgot the first time we made an appointment. He did call later that day and was able to come the next day.

Gary showed up as promised and fixed the cabinet. He also fixed a small screen for a crawl space under our house. Although he has a 2 hour minimum, he only charged us for the hour he was at our house plus a few dollars for hinges and bolts that he needed for the cabinet. He will be our first call from now on for any work we need done around the house.

He arrived early and went right to work. He was very friendly and helpful. I would use him again anytime.

The aluminum screens on two back doors had become brittle and cracked with age. The thresholds underneath were worn and the bottom of one of the door frames and a wood post had termite damage. I called Gary and he stopped by the next day for an estimate. He measured the screens and molding and said he'd stop by a hardware store to pick up supplies. However, on the day of the repairs, it rained unexpectedly. Gary called, checked the weather report and we rescheduled. He showed up the following week and went straight to work. After he was done, he explained that we'd need to do some caulking around the screen area on the one of the doors. The paint hadn't been stripped yet, so he couldn't apply the caulk. The thresholds and post were all patched, sanded and ready for a new coat of paint. I was pleased with his work and wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

Very well. He worked around the obstacles of a home business and managed to deal with the problems I saw, advising how to go further on the one I worried about. One detail: his rate was $45/hour, and he told me after he arrived that there was a 2 hour minimum (job took 30 minutes). I will nonetheless use his services in the future because I respect the professionalism he displayed and the quality of the services and advice he gave.

The whole transaction was smooth and competently accomplished. I am very satisfied.

Called a few vendor's from Angie's list. Gary responded second. Was always punctual and communicative about the work plan. Quality was very good. Missed being "excellent" because of some minor settling, which affected the fit of the two sides of the gate. Original bid was exceedingly low, and work ended costing more, but still in line with what we expected the cost ultimately would be. Still feel we got a good price. Only additional comment would be that there seem to be some inefficiencies (like more well planned trips to the store to get supplies in order to cut down on the number of required trips.) But overall, very good and would definitely use again.

Gary responded to my call on a Friday afternoon and arranged to come on Monday morning after an early AM job (it wasn't an emergency). As his earlier job had gone longer than expected, he called to let me know when he would be arriving. He completed the work in under his two hour minimum despite two trips to the store and left me smiling and my toilet and drawer fixed. What more can a gal want?

Gary came twice because the first time we had not bought the hooks for the hat rack. Both times he was here sharp at the scheduled time and did all the work diligently and efficiently. Particularly the fixing of the veneer on the main door was a challenging job that required the previous removal of the door.

Gary arrived and after I explained my needs he went right to his truck, got his tools and went to work.

He was punctual, professional and worked quickly. He was willing to work with me to keep the project on budget. He did a good job.

Emailed Gary - he was out of town but his wife replied promptly asking if we could wait a week until his return...we could. Gary contacted tenants on return, set up appointment at a mutually convenient time, and appeared on time and made the repairs.

Great. prompt, diligent, prepared, only says "yes" and "sure" i.e "can-do" attitude, and he actually can. before you call a plumber, carpenter, or electrician, I'd think about Gary. and certainly for any misc. things. NOTE: he charges $50 hr., plus materials, he's very diligent BUT you might save by having all your sh** together and organized, so he can work efficiently. next time i will, so any perceived costliness is on me. i mean, he did pretty much spend the whole day here, HE'S VERY DILIGENT AND EFFICIENT, so you be, too.

After calling 2 "locksmiths" located in Santa Monica (also on Angie's), I left a voice mail for Gary, stating what I wanted done, when, and my contact info. I didn't hear back from him until the end of the day, but when I did he said he could do the job, that he charged $50 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum, and that he could do it the next day. This was significantly cheaper than the other 2 quotes I'd received, so I decided to give Gary a try. He arrived promptly the next morning (actually a few minutes early!), looked at my jobs, asked me some specific questions to determine exactly what I wanted, and said he could probably do them both in the 2 hour time period. We agreed to go forward, so he left to go buy the materials. True to his word, Gary got both locks installed as I requested in about 2 hours.

Gary answered my phone message within 24 hours and we scheduled an appointment for the following day. He was here on time -taking into account traffic was a mess due to a fatality accident-. He called to inform he would be late because he was stuck in traffic. He got here less than 30 minutes after his call.If you knew how traffic was this morning in LA in the area where Gary was driving, it was just a wonder he got here in such a short time. After showing him the three areas where he was supposed to work, he assessed them and explained how he was going to do his work. For instance, we talked about the best location for the fire alarm. He completed the three tasks timely and efficiently. No mess left behind. Gary, as well as his equipment, looks very professional.

He did a nice job, was punctual, had good tools and seemed professional in general.

Gary was on time, courteous, worked incredibly hard (not even taking a lunch break) and was very, very professional. He cleaned up everything at the end of the day. Also, gave me information as to future projects - as to what he can do and what he feels is not in his area of expertise. I found his honesty very refreshing, since I have had handymen in the past that said that they can do a job and then find out that they are not competent in a particular area. I was extremely happy with the work that Gary did, and also his professionalism and honesty.

He did a fine job. We're very pleased. He's excellent.

He was pretty good about communicating with me. I was very satisfied. I would recommend him.

Mr. Iselt indicated that the ceiling was in very bad shape regarding plastering and finishing, in some places being held together with tape. He warned us that changing this would be very expensive, and that it would be better to repair the broken light and install a nicer dropped ceiling. I agree with this practical and inexpensive solution. Mr. Iselt has never done the type of work required on this project, and recommended finding someone who installs dropped ceilings and repairs fluorescent lights.

Job went well with no significant surprises. Gary showed up on time and finished in an hour or so. The installation was somewhat awkward because of the high locations of the lights, but he handled it fine.
