My key was no longer working at all on the back door and had become difficult to work in the front door. It's a 1936 old house with original locks, and I was hoping they could be repaired. I emailed Bill to ask; he called me back soon after and set up an appointment for the next morning. Bill arrived right on time, explained the possible causes of the problems. Then he set to work. BIll is a true artist-craftsman. He took apart the front door lock, replaced pins, straightened out a plate that had been bent (probably during a break in many years ago), and recreated original keys for the locks. It now opens like a charm. On the back door, he diagnosed a crack in a tiny piece, and again was able to fix it.... Bill did meticulous work; my doors open easily now, and on top of that, he gives a lifetime warranty on the work. I highly recommend Bill Walter!!

My lock is 25 years old and I was prepared to replace it if necessary. Bill did not try to sell me a new one. He spent a great deal of time fixing the existing lock, replacing it with other parts and was very helpful. He was on time and told me his work carried a lifetime guarantee. Something did not work quite right and he came out again to fix it (without charge) and brought me brochures in case I needed to replace the whole unit. I am most impressed with his professional and cheerful approach. He enjoys his work and it shows.

He has changed locks, re-keyed locks, and added locks. He actually installed a new locks to our front and back gates. He readjusted the locks so that the key to our home would work in them. He is very reasonable, fair and responsive to your needs.

deadbolt had become almost impossible to operate. bill walter came within an HOUR of my call at 5:30 pm and immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem perfectly. Heaven! the lock now glides like butter into the plate! Could not be happier with the service. Prompt, courteous, professional, friendly, and great value for service. Would definitely hire again!

What a great guy!! I called that day and he came out to my place at 7:00 that night...very punctual...He had quoted me a flat fee. He changed my front door lock and dead bolt...He had all his equipment in his truck so he was able to perform what was needed in a short period of time...He lubricated the locks and made sure each of my keys worked...how many times do you get home and the keys don't work!!! He was fantastic!!

Experience went well. Mr Walter inspected the existing installation and was able to immediately diagnose the problems. He provided a quote for repair on the spot. I accepted and he proceeded with the work right then and there. I am quite satisfied with the work and will use him again in the future. Mr. Walter is the sole proprietor of a local business, not an anonymous employee of some big company. I prefer this sort of arrangement when working with a Locksmith. He's bonded & licensed and the work is fully warranted.
